Never again!!. Worst customer service. DONT buy online!!!  
I ordered a printer from fys.com and it said 'store pickup only' which to me was great news. It showed me the closest stores which had the printer in stock and I picked San Jose. I paid wt ccard and got an emailed receipt. The next morning I get a called and the employee says there are 2 in stock but 1 is floor model and that she can NOT find the 2nd one. She said Sunnyvale has 2 instock. SO I called Sunnyvale and told them my story. He said he has 2 in stock. I made him check for sure. He finds the box and holds it for me. I DRIVE all the way there and when I'm about to pay, he notices the box he found is a different printer. Of course more $$. HE also could NOT find the actual box I wanted in stock!! even though it shows 2. I told him on the phone to go check for sure and he said he had it! 2 stores mess up in 1 day?? That's enough Fry's for me. Never again.

I ordered two PANASONIC 6GB SDHC cards from them because the price was good. They ended up shipping only one to me. After I immediately reported the missing item to Fry's, they told me to wait 15 BUSINESS DAYS! Even until now, I haven't got anything. The is not the kind of quality I expect from a national brand.

Absolutely horrible customer service... I've ordered from Frys.com before without problems, but this most recent order is the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. First, they lock my order until I call in and verify. Well, okay, did that, they assured me it would be shipped that day. The next day, I called because it had not been shipped, and was told that the order had been locked. The CSR said he'd unlock it, and it would ship that day. Needless to say, it didn't. When I called, another CSR told me that I wouldn't receive it for a week, despite having paid a big chunk of change for two-day shipping (on a Tuesday). Then he told me he'd squeeze it in on that night's shipments, but didn't.  
 
The next CSR told me that they'd reverse the shipping charges and get it out ASAP and I'd have it by Friday.  
 
Then I was contacted by another CSR who basically said "Nope. Sorry, can't help you, wait until next week".  
 
In the meantime, they double-billed me, and I don't have enough money left in my account to even get basic necessities like FOOD. The bank tells me that I have to call Frys.com and get them to remove the authorization, Frys.com tells me I have to wait for the authorization to expire (may take a week), and nobody knows WTF they are talking about.  
 
None of these people know what they are doing, they clearly don't coordinate amongst themselves, and they clearly can't even do the simple job of shipping a preboxed purchase.

Addendum : Received the product. It's mostly what I expected, with the exception that the wireless networking and USB hardware are messed up. After about 30 minutes, the wireless connection drops and Process Explorer shows that Interrupts and Deferred Procedure Calls skyrocket, pegging all four CPUS. I have the latest drivers for all hardware devices and chipsets, so this is most likely a hardware issue.  
 
Because of the horrible ordering experience, I don't dare ask for a RMA in order to have this issue resolved. I will just have to live with borked hardware and consider it a lesson learned :(

I've purchased there before.. Most of the time orders go through and everything gets shipped, but they don't always honor orders..  
They just cancelled my last order which makes me pretty upset.  
Just send me email saying that 'due to overwhelming demand' they cancell it. Just like that.  
Makes me upset wasting my time ordering and then nothing..  
They're ok to buy from, just don't get your hopes too high..

Ordered 2 TVs online. Both were available and in stock. I was given the choice of having them shipped for free or picking up at a local store. I chose the latter. Then, received an email at a later time that the local store did not have one of them in stock, giving me ONLY the option of canceling my order. By now, the online stock was out, and the local store won't honor the previous price when they do restock. They should not offer in store pickup if it is not in stock. Best Buy and Circuit City honor their prices, and give realtime stock updates. My experiences at Frys have been extremely negative in store, and this just reinforces my opinion.

The order got confirmed and then after a day it got cancelled. Not only me..There are Tons of Tons of people order got cancelled.  
This is not only a inconviniece, this is the worst customer service that I have ever seen. Especially during thanks giving, we miss the other deals. See the entire story in the folliwng thread

I ordered a Panasonic phone combo as part of their Black Friday deals. I didn't get a confirmation until 5 hrs later. Then around 6 hrs later I get a cancellation stating that they had overwhelming demand and couldn't fulfill the order. How about an ordering system that has real time inventory so we don't waste our time and effort? They offered nothing as an alternative or a wait list for the item. Very poorly handled.

Rebates denied for Lexar memory purchased from Fry's.  
All requirements meet. Fry's customer service refused to assist in putting pressure on the manufacturer. This seems to be a scam. I will file a complaint with the FTC and BBB.  
Beware when buying from Fry's. You may be scammed out of your rebate. My recommendation is to purchase from another outlet.

I ordered a pair of 1 gig memory sticks very recently and expected them to be shipped correctly. I received an email from Fry's after a 3 day delay and immediately set up my email address to get updates about my package.  
 
One morning I got an email saying that my package was out for delivery. After not receiving the package past normal business hours I looked online and found that there was an issue I would have to call DHL about. Apparently, Fry's failed to put my apartment number on the package and DHL was not able to find me. I look at my Fry's receipt to make sure I remembered to enter that information and I saw that I did and the error was Fry's fault.  
 
Because of their error, I will now have to wait through the holiday weekend to receive a package that was late in the first place. I won't be doing business with Fry's online again.  
 
Edit:I just received my package (DHL made a shipping exception) and it seems that the shipping label was correct. This was not Fry's fault but instead it was DHL who made the mistake.

I've ordered a few times from Fry's before, and always received the rebates (waiting on one right now). Prices are usually great, and the only bad experience I've had is their canceling an order due to a price mistake on the site (disappointing but understandable). Shipping's always quick, too (and I don't have a Fry's near me).

Had been looking for this speaker for some time. Needed it to fit in a small space on a shelf. It was out of stock everywhere else. Fry's had it for much less than the other sites I checked. Shipping actually took just two days. Very pleased. Would do business with Fry's again.

Ordered an item online and scheduled for in store pickup. Item was listed as in stock, but received a call from a fry's employee stating that my order was cancelled (barely intelligible and wasn't polite or well informed). Sadly this isn't my first experience like this.

I ordered a Samsung LN46A550 HDTV.  
I expected the TV to arrive in a week. Even though I was given a tracking number I didn't know which shipping carrier they used so I contacted customer service. Customer service responded promplty. I will buy from them again.
