Seeing the reviews here I was skeptical. But the $549.00 price, with free shipping, on an LG 42" LH30 was too good to pass up. I was pleasantly surprised that the free ship was fast FedEx! Received a brand new, perfect LG flat screen. Absolutely NO problems whatsoever. The price was great, free expedited shipping, great TV as described. Will definitely shop there again!!!

I am extremely happy with my purchase. I bought a new laptop, but I did not purchase any warranty on it. The laptop broke down within the first week. Frys took it back and even offered me a discounted price on a new laptop. I will recommend this store for computer related purchases.

I ordered 3 disney netpals, and was very impressed when on a Sunday I recieved a phone call acknowledging the order, and confirming the address. The customer service rep. was very respectful and helpful with a great attitude. Everything arrived as scheduled and in perfect condition. Well worth the price and all was as promised and discribed. I will defiently do business here again. Thank You Frys.com This review was modified by its author, JWOOD6790, on

I have been a customer of Fry's Electronics and Outpost/Frys.com for over 11 years and will continue to be. Most of the problems I've read about and heard about with Fry's is customers lack common sense and acceptance of responsibility in general.
I've bought things that have broken or I've had to return things as well as dealt with a few people that should be working fast food instead of selling expensive electronics or appliances. That's true anywhere you go.
These are some tips I go by whenever I shop brick and mortar stores.
1) Read the fine print. If you don't agree with it, don't buy. (example, their Performance Guarantee on LCD's. You have to have a certain number of pixels out before they consider it a warrantable defect. I disagree with that so, I don't buy their warranty on LCD's).
2) Keep your receipt at least for the exchange period (15/30 days) and if it's a major purchase like a TV, DVD, Washer whatever, keep it for as long as you have the warranty on the TV. It's not the company's responsibility to keep track of your receipt. I will say that if you used a credit card or debit card Fry's CAN look up the purchase if you can give them a time frame to search. Just go to the return area and let them know. I know this is the case in San Diego and Phoenix area stores.
3) Most rebates tell you to KEEP A COPY OF ALL DOCUMENTATION FOR YOURSELF. How else are you going to prove you sent it in? The reason Fry's asks for a copy of everything is they don't know if you ever sent it in or if you even bought the product. If you keep a copy, Fry's will contact the manufacturer for you and get your refund for you if it's more than a week or two late. In one case Fry's (San Diego, CA) chose to pay out of pocket for a rebate on a mouse that the manufacturer typoed on and told the customers it wasn't going to cover. THAT is customer service above and beyond.
4) They mark their open boxes with a White and Orange sticker that says "OPEN BOX". In some cases they give a small discount on it. Some open box items are marked but no discount is given because the item was never used. I asked about that.
5) If you're not happy with the person that's helping you, excuse yourself and ask for a different rep from the supervisor at the podium in that department. If asked why, tell them. If that happens enough, that rep that should be working at a fast food joint won't be there long.
So how do I know all of this? One phrase. I'm observant. I've also worked in the retail industry for several years before graduating with a Masters in Industrial Psychology and moving on to better things.
Tips for any store return or problem:
1) Be prepared (receipt) and have a clear explanation of what the problem is, if any.
2) Attitutde - be ready to have to explain the problem several times to several people(hopefully not). Losing your temper or just saying you want to return it because it's "garbage" doesn't help.
3) Know what you what your goal in the interaction is, in other words, what are you trying to achieve.
4) Keep your expectations realistic. Don't expect the latest and greatest high grade replacement when your 4 year mid-range/entry level device takes a dive or a full refund when it's a year old. Just because you spent $3,000 two or three years ago doesn't mean the $1,500 isn't an equal or better device than what you had. The second you buy an electronic device it's on its way to being obsolete. You lose money when you buy electronics...let me say that again, you LOSE money.
5) If your reasonable expectations are not met, cool off if you need to but talk to the next level of management (corporate if necessary). Don't throw a temper tantrum like a 2 year old. You'll simply get thrown out of the store and will lose all credibility and any chance of being taken seriously.

Not having a Fry's store anywhere nearby, I ordered from frys.com. The product I ordered had a mail-in rebate. Even though the product page clearly indicated I needed to download the form, I neglected to do so. (I'm used to ordering from a site where you can get it later).
I sent a note from the frys.com site but got no response. A few days later, I did call, and they were very courteous and emailed me the forms. Overall I'm satisfied.

Store #20 Phoenix,AZ I have shopped there many times and never had problems returning or exchanging anything. Friday 11-6-09 I purchased all the parts required to build a top-rated omputer ($745.00), the person I was to build the computer for had changed their mind. Today I had prompt, excellent service with their Customer Service dept and received a FULL refund. While I do not know about other Fry's stores nor have I ordered online but I rate the above store as EXCELLENT! I have never ordered anything from Fry's online so I cannot comment on their service concerning orders placed over the internet. This review was modified by its author, azTom, on

I have been a regular customer of Fry's for last 11 years. As I have been a satisfied customer so I started to buy Frys Warranty which is optional purchase as the time of purchase of product(s). Some time back I bought PSP and purchase one time replacement warranty from Frys for it. After a year or so, the joy stick on PSP got stuck and I went to store for claiming warranty. They denied simply by saying it is a abuse use. I got frustrated and pushed the jpoy stick on one side and it was no longer stuck. I was not only surprised me by Frys manager response but I now I think what will do with warranty I took for Mac, LCD TV and on other products that I took from Frys. I think it is a waste of money to buy extended warranty of Frys. It is recommended to buy extended warranties of manufacturers now-a-days. This review was modified by its author, naren1, on

I have been a Frys.com customer for many years and have never had a poor experience with them. I order from them occassionally, and have not been to their retail stores nor had to contact their customer service. Items have always shipped in time and been packed well.
If I had to be critical, it is that the Frys.com web site still does not retain user logins. It's always inconvenient to login to check order details, only to require login again if you go to another part of their site. Also, the 'Express Account' link on the front page is still not working properly, in IE8 or Firefox 3.5.

Ordered a Samsung 52" LCD TV LN52A630 on 7-7-09. Product arrived as expected on 7-17-09. Frys called the day after I ordered the TV to verify my shipping address and there were zero problems with the order. TV arrived in perfect shape. I would order from Frys.com again without question.

I have greatly enjoyed shopping with Fry's online. Shipping has been the fastest I've seen for regular ground rates, I generally receive my orders in either one or two days, despite coming halfway across the country. Fry's regular prices aren't the best, but when they have a sale, they have a SALE. I haven't had any problems with my orders, but if I did need to make a return, being able to do so at a Fry's store is a nice bonus.

I ordered an Atlantic 100-disc Organizer Drum on 1/12 at 4:30 PM EST, and chose the cheapest ground shipping option - I think the sales associate said it was 5 to 7 business days. The order arrived this morning, 1/13, at around 10 AM. Super service!

Superb service. Purchased Sony MP3 player from Frys - authorized dealer and $100 less than MSRP ($60 less than Amazon and similar competition). Ordered at 10pm eastern time with second day delivery, received NEXT DAY AT 1PM. I didn't even know that was possible.

I was a little skeptical about placing an online order through frys.com after reading some unsatisfied customers on here, but I thought I would give frys a try. I placed to separate orders about two weeks apart on a weekend, both were shipped and delivered to my door step on Monday. That is ridiculous, 1 day shipping! I was extremely happy, both items were packaged well and are in great working condition. I think its safe to say I will be ordering again from Frys.com
