I am just getting back into photography after a 20 year break and decided to make my purchases at Adorama due to the recommendations of many others. I have made 3 orders, all online, in the past month and the experience has been, largely, positive.  
 
Typically the orders have been processed, shipped and received very quickly. I live a little less than 3 hours away in PA, and UPS Ground gets it to my doorstep the next day with standard shipping. My last order, for whatever reason, was shipped USPS (which FedEx appears to handle some of the transfer because I was able to track the order on the FedEx web site). It took 3 DAYS for my package to arrive when shipped USPS. I will insist on UPS in the future!  
 
The only other problem I had was with my first order with Adorama. As part of the order I had ordered a Giottos 9240B tripod "with classic ball head" (at least that's what the web page said so I assumed it was included). When I received the tripd, there was no ball head. I emailed customer service using the email address provided alerting them to the fact, noting that was a big part of the reason I had purchased that particular model and asked if they could send it to me, but I never received any sort of reply or follow up. I went back a day or two later to see the web site and saw that the description had been changed (although the original description in my order history still includes mention of the classic ball head).  
 
Anyhow, in spite of these two issues, I am still largely satisfied with my experience with Adorama and feel they are a trustworthy company and will continue to order from them in the future.

Excellent price and service. Quickly shipped product and then reshipped product when I missed UPS.

I'm quite pleased with Adorama. I was amazed that I received my order in only 4 days. The whole process was easy and smooth. I received it in wonderful condition.

I asked for a 15MB speed SD card (class 15) and was sold a much slower 4MB card (class 4). Not real happy. A class ~45 was first suggested by sales which would have been overkill for this camera. Camera, waterproof case, memory, and battery arrived quickly as promised.

This is my 2nd camera purchase from Adorama this year. Service, communication, shipping and follow thru are first class.

I have bought a lot of photo gear from Adorama already, up to a 500mm f/4 lens, and their service was always top notch. Great customer service, fast shipping, and they charge the credit card only once they actually ship. I have always been very happy with Adorama. Now they also offer prints, via AdoramaPix, and I found that the quality is amazing, comparable to the best labs, yet prices are much lower.

Ordered a lens and a lens hood on 10-25-2009.  
Emailed them 10 days later regarding the order as it hadn't arrived.  
They emailed me back saying they did not find an order from me in their system.  
I shot back an email immediately to them with a copy of the invoice AND the order #.  
The transaction also shows up in my Paypal account.  
It has been two days and they have not responded.  
I sent the email again, but still no response.  
They have basically ignored me.  
I will not order from them again. If I hear from them and they honor their commitment, I will respond here. If they don't respond and not honor it, I will also post here again. Either way, stay tuned......

I just wanted to get back to you. Your turnaround was incredible. I  
had lost my Nikon camera charger somewhere in New York while visiting my  
sister and had a trip to Disney planned the following week. Needless  
to say with three little girls I needed my camera charger. I will  
definitely be using Adorama again!  
 

Always an easy transaction. I never have any hassle with Adorama. If I need to return it, it's not a problem. The prices are either competitive or lower and the website is easy to navigate. I like doing business with them.

I had great shopping experience in Adorama. Al Lefko was very helpful, results oriented and positive. It did not take more than 5 min. to finish the purchase on the phone and I received the lens I bought the next day. Thanks Al.

Fast and convenient. I also appreciated that the packaging was well done and my items were proctected, especially compared to some other retailers. I plan to order from Adorama again.

I have spent alot of money with Adorama over the last several months and have been pleased with the service.

Excellent service. I've ordered twice from these guys and both times received my shipment in 24 hours ... actually -- I think it was less than 24 hours one time. Admittedly I'm in New England and they're in New York but even so, I've had shipments from New York take a week or more. Not these guys! If they were any faster they'd be delivering it before I placed the order!!
