Adorama is one of those companies that does everything so well that they've practically set the standard by which other companies should be compared. To begin with, Adorama's stock is quite extensive so I never have to purchase photo supplies elsewhere. But while the stock is extensive it's presented in web pages that are quite manageable, preventing the buyer from be overwhelmed with choices. And I never have reservations about purchasing something that I'm unsure about, because Adorama has a "no worries" type of return policy. To finish, I've ordered photo prints from several places, but Adorama's prints were the only ones to have accurate colors (i.e., they look exactly as they appear on my calibrated monitor). Adorama's prints were also the only ones to be shipped in sturdy cardboard containers, not cardboard/paper envelopes that others use. If I were a professional photographer, which I'm far from being, I still would use Adorama as my one-stop-shopping for supplies and prints.
Bought my teenager a refurbished Nikon Coolpix S560 from Adorama. Very pleased! The camera works well, the pictures come out great, and the $99.95 price can't be beat. This was to replace a Nikon Coolpix S550 that she lost (bought new also from Adorama only a year ago), so I didn't want to spend a lot of $$ on yet another camera she might lose. This is perfect!
Everything was as expected from an online [automated] store front. I had no need for questions or support; so, I cannont comment.
However, their method of "free" shipping is terrible. The package travels WELL out of the way - 5 days it took to go under 200 miles as indicated by the internet tracking service provided. Based on consumer reviews of their "free" shipping method, my experience was well above average - that's a scary thought. Please spare the couple dollars it costs for upgraded shipping if you are at all impatient about recieving products, for which you've already paid.

Thank you for your order and review. Our free shipping clearly states that it will take 7 to 10 business days. You received your order in 5 days. You certainly had other options for faster shipping at a very small cost. You chose the free shipping option and received it faster then advertised. Like you mentioned based on consumer reviews our "free shipping" method is excellent.
The salesperson was knowledgeable and worked to reduce my costs without sacrificing quality. I was able to demo the camera in the store and had much more confidence when I made the purchase. The camera and accessories were shipped to me -- well packed and in a timely manner. I couldn't have been more pleased with the transaction.
This was a really great deal considering I ended up paying less than the price I expected to pay (compared to Amazon) with several extras included based on the recommendation of the sales person.
i would definately buy from Adorama again... and listen to their recommendations!!

Purchased from Adorama a Canon 7D body, together with a Sandisk Extreme III 8GB memory card. Excellent price on both. Quick service in shipping the product out. Kept me well informed about the status and shipment of my order. Product arrived safely and in two days on ground shipping.

Very smooth and fast order process. No problems at all.This was my 1rst DSLR purchase as well as my first purchase at Adorama. I bought a Pentax KX with some lens filters and accessories. Talked w/ a rep named Sy. He was very knowledgable about cameras and accessories. He wasnt pushy with ad ons at all. He did offer me a 3 yr extended warranty for 39 bucks which I bought also, however, he wasnt pushy about it at all. He simply offered it and I thought it sounded like a good idea. Everything was shipped free. I ordered on 10/26/09 and all of my stuff arrived on 10/30. No hassles. No problems. I will order from them again and recommend Adorama to anyone.

I am just getting back into photography after a 20 year break and decided to make my purchases at Adorama due to the recommendations of many others. I have made 3 orders, all online, in the past month and the experience has been, largely, positive.
Typically the orders have been processed, shipped and received very quickly. I live a little less than 3 hours away in PA, and UPS Ground gets it to my doorstep the next day with standard shipping. My last order, for whatever reason, was shipped USPS (which FedEx appears to handle some of the transfer because I was able to track the order on the FedEx web site). It took 3 DAYS for my package to arrive when shipped USPS. I will insist on UPS in the future!
The only other problem I had was with my first order with Adorama. As part of the order I had ordered a Giottos 9240B tripod "with classic ball head" (at least that's what the web page said so I assumed it was included). When I received the tripd, there was no ball head. I emailed customer service using the email address provided alerting them to the fact, noting that was a big part of the reason I had purchased that particular model and asked if they could send it to me, but I never received any sort of reply or follow up. I went back a day or two later to see the web site and saw that the description had been changed (although the original description in my order history still includes mention of the classic ball head).
Anyhow, in spite of these two issues, I am still largely satisfied with my experience with Adorama and feel they are a trustworthy company and will continue to order from them in the future.

I'm quite pleased with Adorama. I was amazed that I received my order in only 4 days. The whole process was easy and smooth. I received it in wonderful condition.
I asked for a 15MB speed SD card (class 15) and was sold a much slower 4MB card (class 4). Not real happy. A class ~45 was first suggested by sales which would have been overkill for this camera. Camera, waterproof case, memory, and battery arrived quickly as promised.
