First time shopping with 17th but it will not the last. I ordered a Tele Converter and lens adapter for my Canon. It was in stock and they were shipping, not on a holiday for a week like the other guys. There shipping, yes it’s a little more than other places, but they ship fast. Exactly what I paid for. Some websites claim next day, then have it sit in processing for a day or two. Not 17th, I placed an order at 10:00 am on the 23rd and I had it in my hands by noon on the 24th.  
 
I will be using these guys in the future. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've spent the past weeks looking for a store that actually had the Canon HF100 in stock, and I happened to notice that this site said the availability was 2-5 days when everyone else said pre-order, so I called them up to see if they actually had it.  
 
As it happened, they had just received them and I was told that they were just about to mark the device as "in stock" on the website. I was able to place an order over the phone with no problem.  
 
I made the order at 12:15pm Pacific time, and their website says orders must be made before 3pm Eastern to ship that day. I asked if they could still get the order out that day despite being 15 minutes past deadline and was given a firm "no problem". Not we'll try our best, we'll see what we can do, but yes. That's what I expect from good customer service.  
 
Sure enough, the order shipped that day, and thanks to the next day shipping I have it in my hands less than 24 hours later, while no west coast shops have the camera yet.  
 
Also, since they didn't charge sales tax as they don't have a presence in CA, I saved $74 compared to other stores, so I saved money even after my $36 next day shipping.

I have made a number of purchases from 17th Street Photo over the past few years and have always been very satisfied with their customer service. I have even been put on waiting lists for hard to get items and did not have to wait long to get a return call when the item was available. Recently, I purchased a new Nikon lens and lens filter from this store and received them both promptly (4 days by UPS). The filter was not to my satisfaction however, it having several inclusions in the filter coatings. I called Dove at the store and arranged the purchase of another filter. He promised I would be credited for the prior filter as soon as it arrived at the store. That conversation took place on Monday February 4th. I received the new filter was today, February 7th. In addition, I just check my credit card and the prior filter had been credited. I’ve never written a store critique before, but felt these guys deserve my highest recommendation. You can’t beat 17th Street for their customer service.

First class operation by keeping me informed of shipping status which was very accurate. Shipped air freight after I specified cheapest way. Order was complete with very good packing material to protect my Canon 40D.

Wonderful business transaction experience. Fast, accurate and a safe transaction. DO NOT BUY FROM BEST PRICE CAMERAS - they are crooks!

As in past orders from this store, excellent customer service. Ordered 2 Olympus Extended Warranty Cards for Digital Lens and inquired about another for the Oly E3 body. They have the lowest prices for these warranties! Low, same day shipping! The E3 warranty was not in stock, however they obtained and shipped within the week.

I gotta say, I am completely SURPRISED by how this shop does business. Ordered a Garmin Nuvi 260 & a Canon SD750 on the 7th, paid for 2-3 day air, and got it in my hands by the 9th, in Los Angeles.  
 
I researched like crazy, and with all the scary hard sell horror stories from NY stores, I was skeptical of using them. Part of me was thinking that all these good reviews were planted by the stores employees.  
 
The prices were pretty decent, and I ended up saving probably $150 over buying in a retail store, even with spending $35 with shipping.  
 
I highly recommend this place, and will definitely go back to them. I don't normally write reviews on anybody, or anything, but I felt compelled to write this one because I am so happy with my service.  
 
I know this sounds over the top, but shop there, and you'll understand what I mean.

I initially was looking to buy my Nikon D40 from B&H, since I've purchased from them previously. But, my time frame didn't work with their holiday schedule, so I used resellerratings.com to find Shop B. I have to say I was very impressed with their service. I ordered on Sunday, and before 10:30 on Monday I'd gotten a call from them verifying my order. I paid for 2-day shipping and got it today, which is Wednesday. Everything is brand spankin' new and in its original packaging. I make a note of this because I know people buying on-line are sceptical about what they'll actually get in the mail. I spent so many hours researching what camera to buy, that the efficiency with which I was able to order and receive my camera still has me a little suspicious. Isn't there more to this? Nope. So, go ahead and order from 17th Street Photo with full confidence.

Their web site specifically call out ONLY USA warranty items for Canon products. I ordered a Canon battery grip for my 40D and they sent me gray market with an international warranty.

So very satified with my dealings with this company, not only did they ship immediately, but when there was a problem with UPS they researched and refunded my shipping charges. The price for the Olympus SP550UZ camera was far far below any other price on line or at stores in my area. Would by from them again and again.

I'd been searching for a Nikkor 200-400mm for sometime and finally came upon one at 17th Street on their website. I'd never order from them before and as this was a very expensive purchase at $5200.00 I read the ratings and gave them a call to verify that they did indeed have this (exact)lens in stock. I placed the order online, paid for 2nd day delivery and was extremely surprised to have it delivered the very next morning all the way to Utah. I guess UPS gets some of my appreciation as well. Unlike the phone response I've had with other photo stores in back east I was very happy with the friendly support I received at 17th Street. If you need it and they have it, buy it with confidence. My only regret is that I had not done business with them sooner...and the fact that now I have to figure out how to pay for this lens. Thanks Dov! (sp?)
