I recently ordered a Nikon D80, SB600 Flash Set and Upgrade/Add On Accessory Kit from 17th Street photo. The experience was great and mostly based on the reviews from resellerratings.com.  
 
I had purchased a previous Digital Camera from Buydig.com but decided to go with 17 Street due to more Camera/Lens options.  
 
Overall, I am very Pleased and the merchandise came in promptly with 2nd day Delivery option. My only semi complaint is camera bag in accessory kit is ill suited for D80 and will not hold flash with Camera. I am also wondering if DSN has better deals with their lenses / and crazy accessories they include in bundles, but wasn't sure of their reputation.  
 
Overall, I am pleased and would recommend to a friend.

I received shipment of a Nikon D200 on Friday, March 30, 2007. Due to my schedule, I was unable to do anything but testing for basic functions when the camera arrived. A few days later, I discovered after thorough testing that it appeared to have banding and front focus issues that do not conform to Nikon's spec. This discovery was made after the return period had expired. I wrote to 17th St. Photo and related all of the above and concluded with, "I understand that you have a 7 day policy on returns, but I am asking for some consideration. I would prefer to exchange the D200, not return it for a refund."  
 
A RA# was issued and, after speaking to a rep on the phone, a new camera was sent out immediately (with free shipping) so that I would have the new camera in hand before I sent the old one back. When the returned camera was received by 17th St. Photo, a credit was issued promptly to my credit card.  
 
Excellent, prompt service by a professional, courteous staff.

There are a lot of bogus camera "companies" running out of the New York area and "17th Street Photo Supply Inc." most definitely NOT one of them. I couldn't possibly be more pleased with my transaction!  
 
After much research (and filtering through the bogus low prices posted by the scam artists) I decided to purchase my Nikon D80 kit along with some accessories from 17th Street Photo. They had the best legitimate price and their ratings were good on resellerratings.com. I was a little hesitant about buying it online but I felt sure that I had done my research properly and made the deal.  
 
I made my purchase ($1,245.09) late on Sunday night. The following morning at around 10:30am I got a call from New York and I was braced for the "upsell" I had heard so much about in reviews of other companies. To my surprise the person on the other end of the phone was courteous and professional with no hidden agenda. He simply confirmed the order and shipping address then thanked me for my order. He then told me that it would be shipped immediately.  
 
They shipped it Monday and I received the package on Thursday which is amazingly fast from NY to Texas. Everything was well packed and exactly as I ordered it. No mistakes, no damage, no open boxes.  
 
I ordered my gear on Sunday and had it on Thursday with no hassles. 17th Street Photo Supply has my business forever.  
 

This store is the ultimate! I ordered online on Sunday when the store was closed. Tuesday at 10:15a I receive confirmation that the item had shipped. Seventeen minutes earlier, at 9:58a UPS had already delivered the item. The price was the best available online and super service to boot. I do not hesitate to recommend this store.

I can not tell you how pleased I am with 17th Street Photo. I ordered a Canon Rebel XT Digital (without the lens) and the 1GB Accessory Kit. After trying several other online stores and local merchants, I was prepared for all sorts of mis-direction, out right lies, additional bogus add-ons I would need, pressure to buy extra lenses, etc. I was astounded! At no time did my sales person (Doug) try to talk me into any other products that I did not need, other than the extended warranty. Doug was extremely profession and polite throughout the whole transaction. I was told I would receive the items ordered On 12/1/06 in the afternoon, I was given the tracking number to follow my order, and a number to call back for any further inquiries. My order actually arrived on 11/30/06 in the early afternoon in perfect shape. I would highly recommend this store to any person looking to purchase any camera or optical equipment. Outstanding service in all respects.  

After a miserable experience trying to order the Canon 100-400 lens from "Bait-And-Switch" champs ExpressCameras.com, I ended up cancelling my order with them and instead ordered from 17th Street Photo. I talked to Dov, the rep who answered the phone at 17th Street, and he set my mind at ease with his professionalism and knowledge. Their prices are great, and customer service was awesome! I received the lens today as they promised, and was able to track it all the way using UPS, too. This company reaffirms my faith in online stores, and I hope to do more business with them soon. With many "scary" mail order camera stores out there, particularly in NY, this is one of a handful in that city that have the well-deserved positive marks to make us consumers feel good. Whew!

This store exceeded my expectations. I called them at 5:30pm EST on the 25th and the item was delivered in less than 22 hours to the location it was supposed to be shipped. Even though I got next day air, they shipped it within an hour of me placing the order. I was expecting it to be shipped the next business day.

Ordered the Canon EF 70-200 2.8 IS USM lens for $1699.00 with $100.00 instant rebate. Paid for two-day shipping and received it in TWO DAYS!! This is my third significant purchase from 17th Street, and I will continue to order my camera gear from them. Their prices are competitive and they deliver exactly what they promise...at least in my experiences. Customer service is top-notch, they are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. This is a trusted seller, buy with confidence.

My first experience with 17th Street Photo has been exceptional. I purchased the Canon 70-200 F2.8 L lens.  
 
Purchasing/shipping:  
I ordered on thursday morning, got overnight shipping (which was very reasonable), and received it promptly the next morning. Between ordering and receiving, 17th Street Photo contacted my home to verify the order. Everything arrived in pristine condition, and was packed very well.  
 
Exchange:  
At the end of the following week, I noticed that the lens focus mechanism was bad, making grinding noises and generally performing poorly. This was a manufacturer problem, in no way due to the reseller. 7 Days after receiving my order, I sent them an Email explaining the situation and requesting an exchange. Later that morning an RMA number was given, along with the instructions. I needed the lens by the next friday, so I let them know by calling, and they were happy to make sure I got it by then.  
 
Overall:  
My experience with them has been excellent. Having been in contact with them quite often as a result of the exchange, the staff has always been courteous, helpful, and personal. I have ordered many items from many stores online, but have never seen such dedication and commitment to the customer as demonstrated by 17th Street Photo.

Ordered a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Camera, 2GB Compact Flash Card, 5 year Warranty, and a few other accessories.  
 
Didn't have to talk with anybody. Easily ordered on the website and chose the 3-5 Day Fed Ex option for shipping. The whole packaged order came a couple days after ordering.  
 
No problems whatsoever. Everything was new, unopened, and factory USA.  
 
The excellent feedback reviews on Resellerrating.com influenced my decision to buy from this place. Glad I did and I'll order from them again. I hope this place maintains it's great reputation.

Bought a digital camera, olympus 5060wz, with an additional battery for shipment to The Netherlands. Once all paperwork was filled the order was processed right away, and been send for shipment via UPS. Product arrived in good condition within 4 working days in The Nehterlands, the only downside was the description on the package '100% plastic camera', almost causing me to pay 4.5% custums fee (digital camera's are 0%).

Purchased my Pentax Optio 33L from 17th Street directly from the store; small store, but well stocked and professional.  
They had the best price available on the camera, and purchase transaction went quickly and smoothly- very good store to deal with.

You can't go wrong buying from 17th street they are the best and I have bought from many photo stores.

I actually had two separate orders, both very good. I ordered a Sigma 50-500 EX APO HSM Lens and the Canon EX550 Speedlite. Good price on both items. Both shipped and arrived on time. I highly recommend this reseller.

Bought a D70 kit from 17th Street Photo when they had an amazing weekend special. The offered Bonus Updates provide a great cost/value ratio, even though the UV lens included in one kit does not fit the camera kit lens.  
 
I had to confirm the order via phone but was never asked to buy overpriced accessories. Shipping was fast, packaging was good - no complaints!  
 
Will consider them when buying lenses and other accessories.
