NEVER ORDER FROM THIS STORE!!!  
I placed an order on-line with CCI Camera City for a Nikon D80 Body Only Camera. They had a very attractive price which is what lured me to their site. I received a mail from them asking me to call and confirm the order.  
When I called they ran through what seemed to be a standard list of questions designed to pump up the order. They first explained to me (very tersely) that the camera I ordered did not come with a Lens, Battery or Charger. I explained that I already had a lens and asked for a price for the other accessories. I told them I needed to consider the additional cost ($299) and get back to them. I called back a half hour later and explained that I wanted to proceed with the order as is. I was then informed that the product was not an American Model and would take 4-6 weeks to ship to me (despite the "available status" reported on their site and the 3-5 day shipping option which I chose when I placed the order). Whe I questioned this he became very agitated and started berating me with questions--why don't you just purchase the accessories from my store, just get the American model, etc. I explained that I preferred to buy the accessories elsewhere since I was able to find a better price. At this point the person I was speaking with became angry and told me that no one had a better price for authentic parts and said I should buy the camera from them too and hung up on me. This is a typical case of bate and switch and the response from the person working with sent me a clear message that once I was unwilling to succumb to their tactics they became uninterested in making the sale.

Best Service ever. I don't care what you all say, I like this company. No problems at all, and really good, and friendly customer service. I would recommend them to everyone.

You all are going to HATE me as I am going to give this company their only "good" review. I honestly view my transaction with them as positive. Not because of the experience, but because of the PRICE--that was all and is all I care about. I have read your reviews and agree the experiences others have had, but I disagree with their opinion about it. Let me explain.  
 
I ordered from this company over 2 years ago and just called them again today to place another order. Yes, they did try to upsell me, but I simply said "NO" and stuck to that. They can't "make" you buy additional stuff! I use to sell cars, so I know these tactics, and these guys are as good as it gets, so be prepared. Hey, they are sales men who are in business to make money so I don't fault them on this. I am out to "save" money, and with them I have.  
 
Yes, they do strip down their stuff so don't "assume" you are getting the battery, charger, software unless they say that. And certainly DON'T buy that stuff from them as that is where they get you. Instead, order that stuff from ebay--more work, but you'll get a killer deal. Batteries and chargers you can get generic brands for just a few bucks from eBay. Final total bill will be much still be less.  
 
No, you probably won't get a warrentee, but the camera I purchased was 1/3 the retail price! I'll set some of my savings aside to fix it if it breaks.  
 
Yes, they will call you back trying to continue with their sales pitch if you don't buy, but just say no or don't pick up the phone or insist they sell you only what you want.  
 
Yes, they will "claim" that what you want isn't available and you must upgrade, but just say NO. Determine what you want and stick to it. Don't listen to the excuses they give you about why you should get something different.  
 
Yes, much of their stuff is from the European market, but I travel alot, have purchased electronic stuff overseas, and I can never tell any difference between European stuff and stuff for the American market, and this company has MUCH better prices than anything I've seen overseas even.  
 
Also, one more thing to note is that I mailed them a MO, I didn't pay via credit card. So, I probably missed out on their credit card games--glad they sent the camera though as wouldn't have been much I could have done if they hadn't! However, they did send it later than they claimed, but it got here and I ended up paying 1/3 the price! I'm ordering 2 more cameras from them now so I'll give you are report about how this goes once they arrive.

I feaked out reading all the negative reviews AFTER I bought my Canon Digital Rebel XT BUT I am more than pleased with my purchase. I needed it the next day and I got it just as requested. I never got an email to confirm as stated in some people's reviews which would have been a problem since it was Saturday and the store was closed. I got exactly what I ordered and love the camera. Kevin was fabulous and actually talked me into a less expensive more "user friendly" camera and I am so thankful!!! It's a dream camera and he was so right. I will definitely order from this company again. A perfect transaction!

I just have to say that reading all these negative reviews frightened me so much, but it was not the same experience with me. I purchased a digital camera and shopped based on price, this store won. I do feel like they are legitimate and was very pleased with the results of my shopping experience. I don't like to hear how you don't want their accessories because you can find them cheaper elsewhere. They made a great deal package for me and I was very satisfied. If you don't realize they are a business and want to make a sale, and suggest additional products you will need, then maybe you don't understand how a business is run. I hope people will take a chance with this store, even if they are a little rough around the edges.

I DEALT WITH MAX AND HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. I ORDERED DIGITAL CAMERAS FOR THE STAFF TO TAKE WITH THEM ON THE ROAD. WE DEAL WITH RENTAL APARTMENTS IN NYC AND NEED A QUICK AND EASY WAY TO TAKE SHOTS FAST AND ACCURATE. TIME IS MONEY AND MAX SAVED US ON BOTH!

Salesman does his best to talk you into more than what you need and was very abbrupt when speaking to and gives you as short an answer as possible. The free tripod that came with the camera is a 4 inch tall POS. Shipping is a WHOPPING 8% of your total. So my shipping was $80 for a 5 pound package!!!  
 
You have to call in the order to make sure you get the US version of the camera you are wanting. Otherwise, you take the chance in getting a gray market camera with no US warranty.  
 
You have to call long distance to get customer service. The 800 number is only for sales. I am paying $80 for shipping and handling and then I have to pay for the phone call.  
 
Plus they forgot the free film that was supposed to come with it, but they said they would send me two rolls because the "forgot".  
 
The camera was well packed and came in perfect condition, but my overall experience when spending $1000 on a camera was less than I expected.

You listed a Nikon D200 (Body Only) for $569. I have call the store each month for the past four months. Still no camera in sight or will there ever be one. Why sell or offer something you have no intention of honoring. That's how it seem on this end. It would be nice to have the camera before I'm Dead.

Will see. Just called and talked to some one about my 5D I ordered on 8/23/06. Waiting around today for the camera. When I called to ask for a tracking number was informed that . If I wanted it in two days I had to buy the USA camera for an extra 700$, What the #@@!!$%% I was getting a Grey market? And it would take 4-5 weeks to receive it. With out a battery or softwear. Can I add that they were rude, and I am going to give you how much money?? So I CLX . hopefully the not so gentleman was telling me the truth when he said OK. Will see not I have to call my CC card. I want to ask how this company recieved 4 out 4 stars from Price Graber's rating list. After reading others problems this cant be??

After going through the same thing everyone else seems to have done (bait and switch) I called back and spoke to a manager "Peter". He tried the same thing, but did finally sell me what I had asked for originally. He was actually petty nice, but still tried to sell me stuff I didn't want. I thought everything was good till I discovered the charge on my bill was 250.00 dolars more than the purchase price. I called to inquie why, I was told the postage is 6% of the purchase price, something I didn't think to ask during all the bickering over what I wanted. So if you're buying expensive equipment you may want to figure in 6% for shipping when ordering your equipment.

Ordered 2 month ago, they sent me the wrong lens with my xti, i returned it but never got anything back so im here now since almost 2 month with my body only, no lens and i cannot reach them on the phone, and the website is down too? what should i do now?  
 

Thay don't anser the phone and thay sold the sit and did not send to me what I order and stole mor than 1000 $ from me ..... never never never trust thim

Total scam. Listed camera at low price and sold necessary accessories. Shipped and billed for the accessories but no camera. Telling me to buy camera elsewhere. Avoid this store.
