We were happy with our 1st purchase and bought again, so far a big mistake. The service this company offers in the event of problems is at best LOUSY. Unless something changes soon we will be looking for another supplier for our future purchases.

I have never had an issue with the products from cpusolutions up until now. The product I bought was memeory. When I placed the ram in my pc, it didn't work. Of course this is very upsetting considering I have to return the product and pay an additional shipping fee.

Tech people were argumentative and would not concede that a part was defective even though it was thoroughly tested by a professional and found to be defective. Would not send a replacement part prepaid.

I will never do business with this company again. I purchased 3 motherboards in October of 2001. All 3 motherboards failed in 3 seperate systems that I had sold to a business. It has been 6 weeks since I shipped them the first defective motherboard and still haven't received a replacement. Now they say they wont honor the warranty on the 3rd motherboard because they didn't receive it before the one year warranty period even though I shipped it before the expire date with the RMA number that they gave me. Beware in dealing with this company if you ever have defective parts. I've learned my lesson.

Purchased product online without a hitch. However when I received the parts the motherboard was defective. I called tech support they said the same thing and had me send it in. I overnighted it to them. They called me and told me the board was fine. So they shipped it back to me. I put it all back together and it still didn't work, was getting an electrical whump sound when I powered it on. I'm on the phone with tech support again. They say it's probably a bad power supply and that I should send them the whole order so they can test it all together. They tell me they WON'T be charging me for the assembly fee due to the defective parts. I send them everything at MY expense. After 1 week of not hearing from them I call. They can't find the stuff I sent them. Two days later I get a call that says they found the package, took out all the parts, assembled it and it worked fine. They tell me that I put it together wrong. I'M a systems administrator, I know how to put together a system. They ship it back to me and BILL MY CC $55 for assembly and shipping! When I get the parts its a different case, the same model but a different one. I'm currently fighting with tech support about the charge. They tell me that since NONE of the parts were defective its MY responsiblility to pay for assembly and shipping. Even thought THEY told me to ship it to them and that THEY would assemble it to check all the components! I feel very slighted by this. Bo at tech support basically called me a liar and said that he never said I would get free assembly. I've ordered about a dozen times from these guys without any problems, and have recommended them to several of my friends. But now I'm not sure. The bottom line is they're great if you get working stuff. Another thing Bo said 'well you should have just paid for the Assembly in the first place and we wouldn't have had these problems.'
**Update**
They still refuse to give me back my money. Bo told me on the phone that I would get the assembly and testing for free which I didn't. I guess I should have tape recorded our conversations. In regards to the above about a different case. They shipped it back to me with the same model of case but not the same case. I had removed several of the metal cd covers when I was assembling the case. Well the one they sent back to me didn't have those pieces removed. Thus it was a different case. So the power supply was bad and they won't admit it. Bo basically lied to me and then insulted me. Great Service...NOT!!! This review was modified by its author, smellslikefeces, on

Ordered a barebones system, everything arrived promptly and specified as ordered. However, the power supply was DOA which makes me wonder if a POST test was performed. The tech was good about a replacement power supply which was sent promptly. However the replacement supply was not identical, it was the 20-pin instead of the 24-pin originally sent with the system. I have to give a mixed review; the seller is easy to work with but was inconsistent in sending the components.

CPUSolutions had the cheapest price for an A7V133 motherboard on pricewatch, so I ordered from them and got it in a few days. Unfortunately, I was unhappy to see that the board came OEM, and nowhere on their website did it say this motherboard was OEM. I expected it to come in a retail box.
Well, luckily the motherboard POSTed, but it refused to install my copy of Windows XP with Service Pack 1 streamlined into it. Always froze at "installing network" part, and I also got around 20,000 memory errors in memtest86 (memory is fine in other MBs). So I RMA'd the beast, got a call from Bo 10 days later that said he got his WinXP installed just fine. He did offer me a refund, which I gladly accepted.
Unfortunately, the refund didn't get processed so I had to call 12 days later, they found my refund laying on someone's desk waiting to be processed, and it posted on my account yesterday.
Overall, I was happy for the refund, but disappointed the motherboard was OEM and would not have purchased it had I known beforehand.
I ended up buying an MSI K7T Turbo2 from Newegg, used exact same components and runs my WinXP w/ SP1 perfectly and with no memory errors.
I do not recommend buying a motherboard from this company unless it explicitely says "Retail Box", otherwise you will probably get an OEM version. This review was modified by its author, Seffius, on

Im a hardcore gamer so i know that the big name manufacturers aren't going to give me what I need. I need a system with the utmost power and speed. I also need to have complete upgradability to keep up with the latest games. So I have to go outside the box with a custom built PC. I placed my order at cpu solutions because they were so cost competitive. I started at Alienware and received a comparable system for 500 dollars less from CPU. It was built and shipped in a timely manner. When I received my package it had been tossed about by ups and there was damage to one of my video cards. I wrote an email to their technical support and they immediately authorized a return for refund. The best part was that I was able to buy everything conveniently over the internet and when I had a problem I received a real human response, not some crappy form letter. I'll definitely shop here again.

Well lets say the price were kinda of booggy. Well i bough a althon 1700+ a retail box for 79 and the oem were 69 So i decide to order it i went to surff to another site because i was happy i got what wanted. I checked off different sites like www.newegg.com the price WERE lower then CPUsolutions.com Like the althon 2100 were 80 bucks had me dissapointed . The order Confirmation were good but the only problem was that the Second of the email of the tracking order was kinda of bad the subject of the email was called "no subject" . But the tech was very good. I was on the phone with some customer serivce guy because i had shipped to another destination be side of the billing info. The customer service person had called my house and lefted a message saying, the shipping did not existed. So i called back and wanted to talked to the person of the customer serivce that lefted an message of the email the Guy was very nice was poelite and had to get everything stright done. So he had to called credit card authorization (for secured frud reason) next to 3 minute called back and said "every thing is ok i have contact the credit card authorization and were able to shipp it" then hanged up.I was happy that everything went well

CPU Solutions did a good job setting me up with my new computer. "Bo" at support was great and helped me through some problems that were caused by some software that I loaded on well after purchase. The only complaint that I have is that the case was sold to me as having a front USB port. It does have a port, but it isn't functional. When I asked about it, I was told that it was typical of this case and motherboard combination and it was being worked on. I was told that I would be contacted when they had it figured out. That was about 6 months ago.

I ordered a computer around the second week of May of 2009 and was incorrectly told by the sales person that I could get a free upgrade to Widows 7 when it launched. Although I was misinformed by the person who helped me put my machine order together , CPU Solutions honored the promise and shipped me a copy of Windows 7 anyways.
The computer was shipped very well packed, started up with no problems and other than some operating system conflicts , has not missed a beat, even with the most intensive usage.
I ordered the Intel Core 17, with 6 gigs of ram and various bells and whistles,it has run flawlessly ever since other than crappy Vista 64, and now I have Windows 7!
Thank you SO much , you have a customer for life.

After shopping long and hard for a video-editing desktop, I ordered a custom p6T from CPU Solutions Aug. 3, 2009. I started with a gaming configuration, and the few changes I couldn't make on the Web form were cheerfully accommodated when I called. The computer was delivered eight days later, exactly to my specifications. Very satisfied customer!

I just got off the phone with Todd from CPU Solutions and WOW! Just WOW! Finally! An online computer company that KNOWS what the words "Customer Service" means! Let me explain:
I have been trying to find an affordable new computer for video editing/gaming. I have looked at several other(extremely low rated) online pc companies. Until I found CPU Solutions on THIS website, I thought I might NEVER find an honorable online pc company.
I used the CPU Solutions website (www.cpusolutions.com) to create a custom pc to fit my needs. Granted their website doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" of some of the other online companies, but it contains most of the necessary information.
After much research on my part, I had constructed the machine I wanted but still had several questions. I was hesitant to call CPU Solutions toll free phone number (800-474-4278) mainly due to my past bad experiences with calls made to online companies(on hold for hours/automated phone systems). Boy, was I pleasantly surprised when a HUMAN answered the phone after only 3 rings!
After a courteous greeting, I was transferred to Todd in the Sales Department of CPU Solutions. Todd was VERY helpful. He took the time to answer every single question and concern I had about the system I was wanting to have built by CPU Solutions! He displayed VERY good knowledge of both computers and customer service!
Needless to say, I WILL be placing an order with CPU Solutions in the VERY near future. And if the computer I receive is as good as the service I've received thus far...I WILL be a longterm CPU Solutions customer! Thanks CPU Solutions and Todd :)
Edit: Sorry for the late edit...Received my merchandise on time and as advertised! My new pc works PERFECTLY! Thanks for reinstating my trust in ebusiness CPU Solutions :D This review was modified by its author, eze1969, on
