This is a wonderful company and the customer service was excellent. The lens was amazing, but the fact I got it right in time for a wedding I had was even better! I emailed with questions, and they were answered in a timely manner, the lens came packaged very well, and it was so easy to return.

Quick friendly response to e-mails, easy local pickup and return, reasonable price. What's not to like about the store? I highly recommend it, whether there's some exotic lens you're itching to try out, would like some experience with a lens to make a buying decision, or need something special for an event.

Of the three lens rental places I've had checked out on the internet I've rented from two of them and of the two BorrowLenses is the best in both price and service. The other outfit was only a close second but having Borrowlenses available closer to where I live and having lower prices I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone interested in testing a lens before buying or simply interested in getting their hands on a specialty lens for a short time that they would not otherwise buy.  
 
Borrowlenses is very responsive, with excellent customer service. My lens arrived well-packed with the required stickers to simply repack it and drop it off at FedEx when I was done. Simple and painless and the lens was of excellent quality.  
 
I've rented two lenses from them so far and am delighted with both experiences. I'll be buying one of those lenses with confidence because I had the option of this rental.  
 
Also, renting from this online source is far cheaper than renting from local camera stores who do it as a sideline and often charge 2-3 times per week what these guys charge.

Pleasantly easy and efficient service. I created an account and placed my first rental order for a Canon EF 200/2.8 lens at around 6:30PM Pacific. I walked over to Kaufmann's at 11AM the following morning and as promised in the email confirmation the lens and paperwork were there. What an economical way to explore photographic interests with a range of lenses I could never possibly afford. I've already placed my second order for a wide angle lens for next weekend. Thanks.

I picked up the lens I requested in San Jose. This was a simple and convenient process. It also saved me shipping charges. The lens was in new condition and worked well throughout the rental period. The return to San Jose was no hassle and smooth. I reccommend this company and would use them again without hesitation.

I rented from BorrowLenses twice. First time was for a Canon 24-70L lens, second time was for a polarizing filter. Both times the product was in pristine condition and the pick-up options were flexible (in the SF bay area, you can pick up in person or get it shipped). Great company to do business with.
