I have no problem with the equipment. It arrived in good condition and did what it needed to.  
 
However, this company really needs a dose of professionalism. Notes that I wrote on the bottom of my order were not followed, nor were they even acknowledged to say "no we don't do that."  
 
Also the packaging really needs an upgrade. Taping a box over and over again smacks of "garage business" vs. professional business. Some reusable plastic boxes with custom cut foam would go a long way to make me feel like I could trust the company to be around long-term.

We had a bit of a communication issue which led to me not getting my rental on time and unfortunately missing the holidays but what can you do. Lens was in perfect shape, came with hood and caps, scratch free, looked practically brand new! Thanks so much Borrowlenses!

Outstanding service. Very nice customer service. Item arrived at my office as promised. Item worked great, and I got the results I needed. FedEx shipping label was provided to ship the item back to the store. Price was very acceptable. I will do business with them again!!! A+++++

I rented a Canon 40D camera body and a battery grip. The battery grip was fine but the inside of the body could have been much cleaner. I noticed a lot of debris in the viewfinder. I was not entirely satisfied with their email response when I complained about the debris inside the body on the mirror. I'll probably go with lensprotogo next time because they ship their products in Pelican cases instead of just a cardboard box with foam.

The web order went without any interruptions. Finding what i was looking for was easy and the information per item was on target. Also, i contacted the main office with some questions and they did not hesitated to work with me every detail for delivery and satisfaction. Even they did a follow up to ensure I have all i needed. A very satisfaying experience. They will have my businees for a long time to come, and i will not even blink to reccomend them to others as an asset to any professional.

I recently rented a Canon 16-35mm f2.8L from them. I noted the following during my interaction with them:  
1. the option of 3 day rentals  
2. convenience of local pickup in the bay-area  
3. lens was in excellent condition  
4. option to reserve in advance  
5. good collection of lenses  
6. high shipping costs, which is why i preferred local pickup  
Would definitely try them again. Hopefully as they get popular their shipping prices will reduce.

As always, great customer service! Have been renting from them since they started and have lost count of how many times I've rented from them. How about a get $100 in free rentals after renting $1000 worth? j/k :-)

The service is great, good selection and quality rentals. The did mess up my order, they forgot to deliver the lens to the San Jose pick up point. So I was forced to drive to their office from the south bay to pick it up and drop it off. It's a small thing, but they could've at least offered to take a small portion off my rental or a discount on the next rental. Otherwise the service was good enough to warrant another chance.

These guys are phenomenal!!! Max went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. My wife and I had spent 2 years planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to South Africa. I had spent many hours looking at lenses on line and in stores trying to figure out how I could afford a telephoto lens that would give me some great pictures of wildlife and scenery. The lens that I decided would work, certainly didn't work in my budget! About a week prior to leaving I discovered that I could rent a lens, so I started looking around the net at rentals.  
 
BorrowLenses.com kept showing up as the best prices, so I finally decided to rent from them. I emailed them with some questions before placing my order...it was as though they were sitting there waiting for my email to come in, they replied so fast I thought I was on an instant messaging site! When I placed my order, I had only a couple of days left before leaving so I opted for the overnight FedEx shipping.  
 
The day the lens was supposed to show up came and went, and the lens didn't show...I called FedEx and they said "oops" and promised that the lens would be here the next morning...the day before we left. Our flight was leaving at 6am and we live over an hour from the airport so we were to leave the house at 3am the next morning. The morning came and went, and still no lens! I immediately contacted BorrowLenses.com (by the way, Max was always instantly available when I called them) and was told that they would get an investigaion started. I called FedEx and finally found out that the lens was lost!  
 
As it turned out, FedEx had screwed up royally and when the finally DID find the lens, their only option to getting it to me on time was to put it on a commercial flight and send a courier to pick it up at the airport and then delivery the lens to my home...one hour before our departure! The lens made it!  
 
I don't know how many times while on the trip I said, "Boy am I glad those guys got this lens to me!" But it must have been about a hundred times. The lens worked out perfectly and I am quite proud of the photos I took. BorrowLenses.com went WAY beyond the normal for customer service and provided a lens that more than met my expectations. I would most definetly do business with them again!
