Well I had a very bad experience with this company!!
I ordered a Canon Rebel XS camera on the 20th of April. On the 12th of May after 22 days of waiting I got nothing! So I contacted them and they informed me that the Camera is out of stock and that they are getting a shipment on the 28th of May! They didn't even inform me that my shipment was postponed that way! I sent them that I am ok with that date!
Later I contacted them on the 28th of May and htey told me that they didn't get the camera in the shipment and that I should wait till June 18th! I waited till June 18th! and then they told me that it was postponed again till the second of July!!! :S:S
On the second of July I contacted them and got no reply! I sent them about 7 emails since then and I got no reply from them! later I get surprised that the site has stopped!! ( I would like to point here to the fact that the camera status was always IN STOCK during all of this period!!!)
I am really disappointed and upset of this company! I got all the accessories that I need for this camera! I paid about 200 dollars for them! and now I have them and don't have the camera that I am obliged to buy so that I Can use these accessories!!
I really don't know what I should do! I live in France! and I feel that I was a victim of this Fraud company!

I made a purchase for a birthday present 10 days prior to when I needed it. Everything was shown as in stock. I upgraded shipping to 5 to 7 days, giving them 3-4 days for processing and shipping things out which seemed like enough time for in stock items. I got an email eight days later stating I needed to call to verify my order (I assumed it was because my shipping and billing address were different). I called them that day and talk to a very helpful individual that said that they should get my order out the next day. About 3 weeks go by and I still had not received a tracking number and the link to track the order in the email brought me to the order page that stated it was still a "new order". I called them back to ask about the status of my order and the individual I talked to wasn't sure so he contacted the warehouse to find out. When he came back on the phone he stated that there was a item in my order that was back ordered and it was going to be in either later that day or the next day. I was told the I would have a tracking number by the end of the day on Wednesday (this was on a Monday). I let it go to the weekend and I still had nothing. The next week I began trying to call every day which proved unsuccessful. Every time I called the I would get the sorry it is not during our normal business hours message when clearly it was. I also began sending emails asking about the status of my order to few different emails listed on their web page with no responses. So finally after almost a month and a half from my original order date and not being able to get a hold of them anymore, I had to call their local police department and have them make a trip there to talk to them and I finally got a refund on my order!! All I wanted was either the product I ordered or my money back... Too Easy!!
Suggestions to future purchasers from them: DON'T!!!
In my opinion it is worth paying a little more elsewhere and getting timely and good service then purchasing from DigiCombos!
If you have already made the mistake and are having similar issues to mine then call their local police department, tell them your issue and have them stop by their business!

I honestly don't think DigiCombos is a scammer company, but the way they dealt with my order made me think they were. Here is the order or events with my order:
1) I place order online and set shipping address to my workplace, as I do for all my orders.
2) They call to confirm the order and shipping [aka attempt to upsell me on items], I decline to purchase anything but the camera body they had for a low low price.
3) A week later, the camera has still not shipped. I call and talk to a sales rep about the status of the order, he says it's still on hold because the billing department needs to call the credit card company. He said that they do this for all orders "over $30 or so". I then ask if ALL their orders over $30 are over a week behind schedule, and he hems and haws about how priority orders go out first. He knows I know that the order slipped through the cracks and is sitting in someone's backlog. He says that the billing manager is the only person who can call the CC company and that he will call me back by the end of the day. I request expedited shipping instead of standard because I have waited over a week for this camera to get shipped out, and he says they can't possibly do that because they are already selling it so cheaply.
4) No call comes at the end of the day, of course, so I call back tomorrow, at 10am. I get the same person, who says the billing manager is not in yet, even though they opened at 9:30. I tell him I will call back that afternoon.
5) At 2pm I call, he says the billing manager is still not in, and does not know where he is.
6) I cancel my order over the phone after finding the body elsewhere for less.
While my issue may be an isolated one, it doesn't give me much hope that a future order will go well. I don't see the point in ordering from this company in the future.

I bought a Nikon D80. Was overcharged for mailing, the software was broken and it took another 2 week and 3 different people to get the software to me. I then found out it was a grey market camera and now 2.5 months later the lens won't focus and the warranty co. is giving me a hard time. I mailed in the registration, they say they don't have it but you can go online to register. I go online but because it had been 2 mos. The have to consider wether they will honor the warranty. I will never order from digicombos or direct anyone to their site again. If they would take the camera back i would gladly give it to them.

I placed an order with DIGICOMBOS on July 23, 2008. Below is the email I sent shortly after placing the order.
Hello Dave, I am cancelling my order with digicombos. I called Discover to make sure the charge does not go through.
the reasons I am cancelling are stated below.
1-I ordered from you the Canon XSi kit with IS lens. You wrapped up our phone conversation with "ok, so you ordered the canon xsi body only" twice. Even after I corrected you saying NO, I ordered the kit with lens. You sent me an email confirmation for the body only.
2-Once I did call you back about the "mistake" you made you agreed to send me another confirmation, only this time the description of the camera changed to: canon eos rebel XSi/KissX2. I did not and do not want the Kiss X2 Japanese version of the XSi.
3-You could not satisfy my inquiry about the warranty being a USA warranty. You said, if it's not, just send it back and we'll replace it.
Well I don't have time to send things back.
4-I asked about a quicker method of delivery other than 7 day ground. You said you would set up the shipment for 2 day delivery at the price of 3 day delivery which would be 20 dollars.
My receipt stated 3 day delivery.
Frankly, I was really hoping this purchase with digicombos would have been an excellent experience. But I feel very nervous about receiving a gray market product that I'll have to send back to you and run the risk of not receivig a refund.
Unless you can assure me in writing that I will receive the exact camera kit and lens I want, which is the Canon Xsi with IS lens [not the kiss X2] then I will stick with my cancelled order and find somewhere else to purchase.
I NEVER HEARD ONE WORD BACK FROM DAVE.
I did receive an email the next morning stating that there was a problem with my credit card and they could not proceed with my order until I called to clear up the "issue". Amazing, I cancelled my order via email to two different addresses, Dave's address and the info@ address yet they still tried to charge my credit card.
I suspected they would do this and that's exactly why I called Discover and told them not to accept/or clear the charges from this company.
Very dishonest and unethical.
In my opinion, I do not trust this company or it's employees. Especially now after the reviews I've read and the experience I had.
[wish I'd read reviews prior to placing my order]
I bought from Beach Camera. Spent 108 dollars more, and already have my new USA warrantied, Canon XSi in hand. Thanks Dave & Digicombos for guiding me to the beach!

I placed an order for a Canon 450d XSi and within an hour canceled it. The salesperson (#125) was pleasant on the phone but tried to upsell me on a battery for $79 claiming the included Canon battery would die in 45 minutes. I was also pressured to buy an extended warranty. These two things did not bother as much as the fact that he also said the camera was not a grey market camera. After placing my order, I read many negative reviews and called back to question him on his statements. He rescinded and I cancelled. I will stay far away from Digicombos. Shame on you dpreview.com for recommending them.

I read the reviews, I knew the retailer was questionable, but there did seem to be some authentic positive reviews. I placed the order over the phone so I didn't have to bother with them calling me back to confirm my order. They had no problem selling me a D300 Nikon without purchasing any other accessories. I asked if the camera was the USA model with US warranty and complete with all accessories. He said "yes" to all questions. I recorded the phone call just in case. When I got the camera the box was the "J" model, meaning Japan, meaning Gray Market. Nikon service verified. While shipping was very fast and free, the sales associate flat-out LIED about the camera being covered under the US warranty. Nikon US will not touch the camera, not even if paid to do so. ANY service must be shipped to Japan. I really thought this price was good, but not "too good" as I've seen it at that price occasionally at Dell and Costco. The camera had a LOT of dust on the sensor right-out of the box. I don't blame digi-combos for this, but that is why I contacted nikon serivce to begin with. Also, according to the box the camera came packaged with Nikon CaptureNX which it did not. There was also no registration number. It is either supposed to contain a reg number or a cd and it had neither. And lastly, they placed a USA Warranty registration card in the box with the camera, probalby to fool you into thinking the camera really was covered. The only way to tell if it is grey market is by looking at the box bar code, just above it there is a model: D300 (J)

I ordered a Canon 40D camera for $1045 + 52 shipping. The camera arrived without Canon (or any other) warranty and it was a grey market item. I emailed DigiCombos right away but they won't return my emails. Very bad experience.
EDIT: The camera was USED - but sold as new. This review was modified by its author, Kotik, on

I ordered a Nikon D300 digital camera from this company via eBay. I had to call them to complete the order. When I called,
they were trying to sell me additional items, namely another battery and memory card. They didn't try very hard, though.
Note that the memory cards on their webpage are greatly overpriced.
The camera arrived very quickly and was new in box.
However, it turned out to be gray market with a third party USA warranty.
I haven't decided yet whether I should return the camera, simply because some other reviews indicated that it might be difficult
to get back the money.
Needless to say, I would never buy anything from them again
and I had failed to read the reviews before placing that order.

Attempted to purchase Nikon D40 on 12/12/07 paying for 5 day shipping. Three days later "Dave" calls and wants security code from credit card. Tries hard to sell 150 dollar battery. I decline. 12/19/07 they call wife to "verify shipping address." Now the only way to get it here is by shelling out another 70 dollars for expedited shipping. Can you say Shake Down Job! I cancelled the order and will now get my childs gift from an honest E-tailer.

Exercise extreme caution with this outfit; hopefully my experience can help you. I saw their ad in a magazine and ordered a Nikon D80 with 18-200mm VR lens with "USA" warranty. Needed a phone call to complete order, during which they try to upsell more stuff but were overall polite; confirmed that it was new gear, closed box, with USA warranty on the phone. Arrived on time as promised...packaging however was poor and all internal boxes were slightly dented. Immediately noted they sent me the 55-200mm lens instead of the much more expensive 18-200 VR2. Also, the D80 had an open box with a home-burned copy of the PicturePerfect software in it! A red flag for a "grey market" reimported camera. This was confirmed when I called Nikon and they could not register the serial number, and offered no support for the camera. Digicombos includes a yellow "USA Warranty" card which is a third party warranty, the quality of which I have no idea (the warranty company's website was unrevealing). So I called to return everything (they have a 10 day return policy). Their "customer service" was closed for days!! I finally got through to sales who gave me a return address and promised a full refund. I returned everything unused via fed ex tracking; it arrived 3 weeks ago and despite 3 phone calls to "customer service", each promising a refund within 1-2 business days, I have yet to receive a dime in refund. This week I will be calling my credit card company to dispute the charges. Please save yourself a lot of grief and hassle; I ended up buying the camera from a reputable online outfit for a comparable price, full Nikon USA warranty (which means you can bring it to any Nikon dealer for service) and an extremely helpful, responsive, and polite customer service. Shop carefully...

Where to start...I ordered a Sony A-700 combo. Almost NOTHING I received matched the pieces shown on the webpage. The camera flash was different, the memory card was different, I purchased an extra battery and it wasn't even compatible!! Several other this as well but this one is the worst....The lens I received had the factory Sony seal broken and parts missing inside. Still I decided to give them a break until I took the camera on a vacation. After loading the pictures on the computer I noticed there are two smudge looking spots inside the lens. I am now convinced this is why it must have been returned. I am not sure if they will take care of me or not. Very disappointed as this is a $499 lens and basically not usable.

Placed order online, called them on the 9th September to confirm, sales tried to sell $40 battery on me for more then tripple the price, declined. have sent a few emails as no charge on card appeared. Then asked about warranty etc and requested order be cancelled until clarification. Heard nothing more from company. Maybe if you don't take the upgrade sale, they loose interest in client. Have since purchased from B&H Photo, already shipped in 1 day. Digicombos have lost me as a current or future customer. This review was modified by its author, sharkykzn, on

I ordered a Canon Digital Rebel XSi from Digicombos on the 4th of May. The next day they sent me an email saying I had to call and confirm my order. I called and gave him the necessary information, and also asked if it was the USA version of the camera and if it came with an original USA warranty, and he answered both to be yes. Afterwards he tried selling me another battery, claiming "the battery supplied by Canon in the kit lasts only 45 minutes", which I know to be BS.
The next day we receive a call saying I need to confirm my order, despite already having called it in the previous day. I called and confirmed it again, apparently he was having trouble billing it because my credit card was SOMEHOW under my old address, at which time I did not even have a credit card.
After that, the order was finally shipped on May 8th, and was attempted to be delivered on May 14 at 3 pm. Noone was home at that time, nor would be on the next 2 consecutive business days, which is when they would try to deliver again.
I called FedEx and they said I wouldn't be able to pick up my package at a local FedEx/Kinko's because it was Home Delivery. I finally arranged to have it delivered on Saturday, May 17. The funny part is they called saying they thought we were a business and that is why they delivered early, not sure whose mistake that was.
Saturday, May 17, 13 days after placing the order, I receive the camera. To no surprise, it turns out to be the JAPANESE version, NOT the USA version. (Kiss X2). I opened the box to find it has NO ORIGINAL WARRANTY CARD, but some 3rd party "USA warranty". Thankfully, everything appears to be in perfect working order, and it has all the claimed accessories that come with it, minus the ""Great Photography is Easy" Booklet and "Do More with Macro" Booklet", which I didn't need anyways.
I checked on the Canon website, clicked "Arrange a repair", and entered my serial number and purchase date, and it says the camera is under warranty. So good news, but I am VERY disappointed in DigiCombos as a seller, as they lied to me about the camera being the USA warranty, and it was a large hassle having to call to confirm my order, TWICE.
I would not recommend this seller and won't be buying again. You get what you pay for, I bought the camera for under the MSRP and I paid the price.
