Well I had a very bad experience with this company!!
I ordered a Canon Rebel XS camera on the 20th of April. On the 12th of May after 22 days of waiting I got nothing! So I contacted them and they informed me that the Camera is out of stock and that they are getting a shipment on the 28th of May! They didn't even inform me that my shipment was postponed that way! I sent them that I am ok with that date!
Later I contacted them on the 28th of May and htey told me that they didn't get the camera in the shipment and that I should wait till June 18th! I waited till June 18th! and then they told me that it was postponed again till the second of July!!! :S:S
On the second of July I contacted them and got no reply! I sent them about 7 emails since then and I got no reply from them! later I get surprised that the site has stopped!! ( I would like to point here to the fact that the camera status was always IN STOCK during all of this period!!!)
I am really disappointed and upset of this company! I got all the accessories that I need for this camera! I paid about 200 dollars for them! and now I have them and don't have the camera that I am obliged to buy so that I Can use these accessories!!
I really don't know what I should do! I live in France! and I feel that I was a victim of this Fraud company!

I made a purchase for a birthday present 10 days prior to when I needed it. Everything was shown as in stock. I upgraded shipping to 5 to 7 days, giving them 3-4 days for processing and shipping things out which seemed like enough time for in stock items. I got an email eight days later stating I needed to call to verify my order (I assumed it was because my shipping and billing address were different). I called them that day and talk to a very helpful individual that said that they should get my order out the next day. About 3 weeks go by and I still had not received a tracking number and the link to track the order in the email brought me to the order page that stated it was still a "new order". I called them back to ask about the status of my order and the individual I talked to wasn't sure so he contacted the warehouse to find out. When he came back on the phone he stated that there was a item in my order that was back ordered and it was going to be in either later that day or the next day. I was told the I would have a tracking number by the end of the day on Wednesday (this was on a Monday). I let it go to the weekend and I still had nothing. The next week I began trying to call every day which proved unsuccessful. Every time I called the I would get the sorry it is not during our normal business hours message when clearly it was. I also began sending emails asking about the status of my order to few different emails listed on their web page with no responses. So finally after almost a month and a half from my original order date and not being able to get a hold of them anymore, I had to call their local police department and have them make a trip there to talk to them and I finally got a refund on my order!! All I wanted was either the product I ordered or my money back... Too Easy!!

Suggestions to future purchasers from them: DON'T!!!
In my opinion it is worth paying a little more elsewhere and getting timely and good service then purchasing from DigiCombos!
If you have already made the mistake and are having similar issues to mine then call their local police department, tell them your issue and have them stop by their business!

I honestly don't think DigiCombos is a scammer company, but the way they dealt with my order made me think they were. Here is the order or events with my order:
1) I place order online and set shipping address to my workplace, as I do for all my orders.
2) They call to confirm the order and shipping [aka attempt to upsell me on items], I decline to purchase anything but the camera body they had for a low low price.
3) A week later, the camera has still not shipped. I call and talk to a sales rep about the status of the order, he says it's still on hold because the billing department needs to call the credit card company. He said that they do this for all orders "over $30 or so". I then ask if ALL their orders over $30 are over a week behind schedule, and he hems and haws about how priority orders go out first. He knows I know that the order slipped through the cracks and is sitting in someone's backlog. He says that the billing manager is the only person who can call the CC company and that he will call me back by the end of the day. I request expedited shipping instead of standard because I have waited over a week for this camera to get shipped out, and he says they can't possibly do that because they are already selling it so cheaply.
4) No call comes at the end of the day, of course, so I call back tomorrow, at 10am. I get the same person, who says the billing manager is not in yet, even though they opened at 9:30. I tell him I will call back that afternoon.
5) At 2pm I call, he says the billing manager is still not in, and does not know where he is.
6) I cancel my order over the phone after finding the body elsewhere for less.

While my issue may be an isolated one, it doesn't give me much hope that a future order will go well. I don't see the point in ordering from this company in the future.

Wow! Not only did they have a discounted combo package that very few other stores carry (a D90 with the 18-200mm Nikkor lens), but they had it for a very good price. The thing that I am impressed with is that I actually made a mistake when I ordered it - it was very late and I had been looking at 50-60 Nikon bundles around the Web. They did an order confirmation request and caught the problem! I'm pissed at myself for screwing up, but thrilled that they caught it and made the corrections quickly and easily!

I spent 2 weeks shopping around and trying to get a good price when i realized that a really good price comes with a really good game , so after understanding that the lowest price is not a real price I discovered DigiCombos , one of the best prices (not the lowest) By far the best customer relation , A guy named Jason spoke to me on the phone for 15 min explaining everything when i straight out told him that I am not ready to place my order yet , his reply "I don't work on commission so whats a difference if i talk to you or the next person" after 15 min of talking i said now let me go shop around his reply "if you have anymore questions feel free to call me" , sure enough i place my order 2 days later with DigiCombos .

DigiCombos is a highly respected Company in my book and will send my buddies that way

A very good seller. I checked the lower priced retailers on here and all had bad reviews (100% bad). If you're polite to them they'll treat you right. Ordered a Canon G9 for 426.00 (free shipping) and got a grey market (Made in Japan) version which I'm totally happy with. VERY fast shipping. They'll try to sell you a thing or two, but they don't press you if you decline. Very friendly to deal with. I like them a lot. Ben.

I bought a Nikon D80. Was overcharged for mailing, the software was broken and it took another 2 week and 3 different people to get the software to me. I then found out it was a grey market camera and now 2.5 months later the lens won't focus and the warranty co. is giving me a hard time. I mailed in the registration, they say they don't have it but you can go online to register. I go online but because it had been 2 mos. The have to consider wether they will honor the warranty. I will never order from digicombos or direct anyone to their site again. If they would take the camera back i would gladly give it to them.

My experience with DigiCombos was mixed bag, but overall, I am happy. I bought a Canon 40D from another online vender on 7/19/08 through Google Checkout. For some reason, Google cancelled it on 7/21/08. Never did get a reason why. I reordered on 7/21/08 from DigiCombos in The early AM, pacific time. Since their site gave an 800 number, I ordered by phone. I ordered the Canon, Body only. Upon placing the order I asked all the questions, Warranty, new unit and etc. I was assured that they weren't like other online venders and that they had 274 of them (new US models) in stock. Their price was very attractive, lower than the first seller that cancelled my order. I was sort of in a panic, because Canon had a $200 time of purchase rebate on this camera that expired on 7/19/08, I wanted to enjoy that rebate.

While placing the order I was indeed worked by Dave, my sales person. He tried to sell me a ridiculously overpriced battery and compact flash card. When I told him I was upgrading from a previous Canon 30D and didn't need them, he backed off, accepted the order, and gave me the order number. I waited a couple of hours and attempted to check the order on line through their tracking system, when I had no luck, I called back and spoke to a supervisor, Joel, who informed that their free shipping called for 14 to 21 days and that I could upgrade. I told him this was unacceptable. He then told me he would upgrade the shipping for free, and it would be shipped the following day, 7/22/08. I checked the status later that evening, and it was listed as pending. By the next afternoon, it's status still had not changed.

I called again, and spoke to Ralph, a customer Service Supervisor. He told me that the order was pending, and I relayed Joel's info from the day before. He promised me, he would get it pulled and shipped the following day. Sure enough, on 7/23/08 I received an email advising me that it had shipped by FedEx Ground and a tracking number was furnished. I received it on 7/29/08.

The Canon box was packed inside another larger box and filled with pop corn. The box was marked as a kit, to include a lens. When I opened it up, however, I found the lens had been removed. The Camera was in the box, still wrapped as it left the factory. All the Manuals, Software, Neck Strap, and Cables were there along with a USA Canon Warranty Card. All the accessories was still sealed in the original plastic wrap. Also, Canon had last updated the firmware on 4/07/18 and I had downloaded it, expecting to have to update the camera. But, this unit already had the latest firmware.

I went to the Canon site, and registered my new camera, and everything was accepted by Canon.

So I bought a USA model with a warranty that was brand new, as I expected. It even had the latest firmware, meaning it was recent production. I did not expect to receive it in a kit box, but that was not a problem for me. Shipping took longer than it should have, and they needed to be expedited. Therefore, I am happy with my experience. Would I shop there again? Based on some of these reviews, I don't think so.

I placed an order with DIGICOMBOS on July 23, 2008. Below is the email I sent shortly after placing the order.

Hello Dave, I am cancelling my order with digicombos. I called Discover to make sure the charge does not go through.
the reasons I am cancelling are stated below.
1-I ordered from you the Canon XSi kit with IS lens. You wrapped up our phone conversation with "ok, so you ordered the canon xsi body only" twice. Even after I corrected you saying NO, I ordered the kit with lens. You sent me an email confirmation for the body only.

2-Once I did call you back about the "mistake" you made you agreed to send me another confirmation, only this time the description of the camera changed to: canon eos rebel XSi/KissX2. I did not and do not want the Kiss X2 Japanese version of the XSi.

3-You could not satisfy my inquiry about the warranty being a USA warranty. You said, if it's not, just send it back and we'll replace it.
Well I don't have time to send things back.

4-I asked about a quicker method of delivery other than 7 day ground. You said you would set up the shipment for 2 day delivery at the price of 3 day delivery which would be 20 dollars.
My receipt stated 3 day delivery.

Frankly, I was really hoping this purchase with digicombos would have been an excellent experience. But I feel very nervous about receiving a gray market product that I'll have to send back to you and run the risk of not receivig a refund.

Unless you can assure me in writing that I will receive the exact camera kit and lens I want, which is the Canon Xsi with IS lens [not the kiss X2] then I will stick with my cancelled order and find somewhere else to purchase.

I NEVER HEARD ONE WORD BACK FROM DAVE.
I did receive an email the next morning stating that there was a problem with my credit card and they could not proceed with my order until I called to clear up the "issue". Amazing, I cancelled my order via email to two different addresses, Dave's address and the info@ address yet they still tried to charge my credit card.

I suspected they would do this and that's exactly why I called Discover and told them not to accept/or clear the charges from this company.
Very dishonest and unethical.

In my opinion, I do not trust this company or it's employees. Especially now after the reviews I've read and the experience I had.
[wish I'd read reviews prior to placing my order]

I bought from Beach Camera. Spent 108 dollars more, and already have my new USA warrantied, Canon XSi in hand. Thanks Dave & Digicombos for guiding me to the beach!

I placed an order for a Canon 450d XSi and within an hour canceled it. The salesperson (#125) was pleasant on the phone but tried to upsell me on a battery for $79 claiming the included Canon battery would die in 45 minutes. I was also pressured to buy an extended warranty. These two things did not bother as much as the fact that he also said the camera was not a grey market camera. After placing my order, I read many negative reviews and called back to question him on his statements. He rescinded and I cancelled. I will stay far away from Digicombos. Shame on you dpreview.com for recommending them.

My over all experience with digicombs was ok. Customer services was okay and pleasent. There was just few things that bothered me. Once I placed my order online, I don't understand why they had to call me or I call them just to verify my order. The conversation was only to try upsell me on items I really didn't need. The only thing I have to complain really about is that I places my order before 11 that day and paied extra for over night shipping and got my item two days later. They same day that I purchased my item I called back for an traking or way number. I was told that I would be getting an email with my information which I got two days later after placing my order. overall, I can say that this was a okay transaction. I just wish they didnt try to upsell when you call or they call. That was big turn off for me.

My shopping experience was good. I liked the fact that on the same page I could see offers to all sorts of add-ons for the specific camera I chose. The price was low relative to other online stores.
However, my billing experience was cumbersome. Living out of the US and shipping to a US address has made the process unclear to the seller. I am not recieving my camera on-time for this reason. Nonetheless, was customer service was good and prompt.

A friend recommended this site to me, and I was very pleased with the results. The price was excellent, and the sales representative (Joel), most helpful. An excellent product at an excellent price complete with excellent service; what more can one say to laud one's shopping experience? Will shop again.
