After I placed my order for a plasma TV with Nice Electronics, I received an email confirming my order and telling me that: "There is additional information needed to process your order." When I called their 800 number, it turned out that the "additional information" was a high-pressure sales pitch to buy an extended warranty for many hundreds of dollars. After I repeatedly refused to buy an extended warranty, the sales guy finally gave up. He told me that the TV was in stock and that it would be shipped that day. The only thing that happened that day was that my credit card account was charged for the full cost of the TV. The TV was never shipped. I called and emailed repeatedly for more than two weeks (being put on hold for a long time each time I called), and was told a different story each time. Finally, two weeks later, a supervisor told me that they did not have the TV in stock and that he was not sure when and if they would be able to ship. At that point I asked for a refund of the amount that they charged to my credit card two weeks earlier. He promised that they would issue a refund. I am now waiting to see if the credit ever shows up. In conclusion, a merchant who bills my credit card without shipping any merchandise, and who they tells me two weeks after billing my credit card that he does not have the merchandise in stock is not a merchant with whom I want to do business.

Ordered a Sony Vaio TX650 with XP Pro. Not in stock. Would call be right back. never did. waited and waited. They emailed & asked that I call them. I did. They can't get it but how about an upgrade. Fine. Couldn't get it. They finally sent it dropped shipped and as a thanks for my patience were upgradoing me to a 750. When it arrived it was a 650 w/ XP Home. Total bait and switch

Wow, wish I'd checked this site before I ordered! I got a similar story: I made an order and was asked to call in and "confirm" information. I was then given the hard sell and purchased some additional accessories, and then the run-around began: When I enter my order number to reveiw my order status on their web site, I get a message stating no order exists; I was never emailed an order confirmation although I keep asking (about every day for one week) for it; when I call in for information on the status, they keep telling me the order shipped but then they tell me they will email me the UPS tracking number but then they never do, and now that I'm more insistent, they just give me false numbers (one for an order that shipped last year, and one that just didn't exist at all). The latest promise of a "Next Day Air" delivery and a supposed tracking number yielded a "tracking number not found" from UPS... These folks are definitely in business of Wamboozling... As of right now, I have no confidence I'll be getting a "good deal". Next time, I'll spend the few extra dollars and go with a reputable reseller.

I will never shop here again. I ordered a laptop for 950$, and after a week my laptop order was not processed. After calling the rude individuals in customer service, I was hung up on once, and cold transfered another I finally received an email from a rep. After calling he stated that the computer that I ordered was no longer in stock. Being that I had to leave for Europe a week later, I accepted the upsell, however the computer that I order was the exact model on my initial order. I also requested an order receipt, and after calling for four days consecutive days I was given the run around, and I have yet to receive a receipt.  
Do not shop here.

I purchased a laptop through NiceElectronics.com in Sep 2002 with an extended warranty. The warranty was to be serviced by Mack Camera.  
 
I personally will not do business with any company who sells extended warranties serviced by Mack Camera again.  
 
If you want to find out just how shady they are, google the following things exactly as written:  
 
Mack Camera + Complaint  
 
David Horowitz + Mack Camera  
 
If you google the second one, find the Customer DisService section on the page, and then hit the drop down and go find Mack Camera, you will be presented with a story remarkably similar to mine.  
 
The only thing different is that two goons from Mack Camera called me, and asked me no less than 2 dozen times how my laptop got cracked when it didn't leave my house like that.  
 
Buyer Beware.

I tried to buy a TV from them and they kept high pressuring me to buy a warranty. I told them I did not want a warranty. The sales rep would not shut up about it. I told him I do not want a warranty and to just ship it to me. On their site it says orders take 24 to 48 hours. I waited that long and wondered what was going on. I called back to check on the status of the order and he said it had not shipped and then said I have a note here saying that you wanted a warranty with that. And I was like WTF. I said are you not going to sell this TV to me unless I buy a warranty? He said of course we will sell it to you without it and then mentenioned the warranty again. I got mad and told him he just lost a customer. I found the TV later on sale at Best Buy. I will never trust a company that is selling something for a really low price again. I will stick with the big chain retailers from now on.

"Couldn't ask for better service. Price was very competitive and no hassle of having to call to confirm and then have some salesman try to sell you everything else in the store."  
 
That's funny, I experienced the exact OPPOSITE of what you experienced. This company is utter crap and not worth buying from. DONT BUY@!  
 
Word of advice, look at the number of posts the commentors of a store have, if 90% have only 1 post and they're all positive then the store is likely flooding themselves with positive feedback.  
Most legit feed backs will have about 30-50% of their feedback from multiple posters. I think reseller ratings should wieght their responses higher.

I purchased a Laptop from Nice Electronics of which there are numerous emails to and from in particular that relating to their specific confirmation that the Laptop ‘can be serviced in the UK’ under the warranty sold to me, there is also my confirmation that I was purchasing a Sony Warranty which it eventually turned out not to be. First Problem.  
 
Further emails are to Mack Camera dealing with the Warranty who finally accepted responsibility and agreed to refund the cost of the warranty but not the Computer.  
 
The Sony laptop purchased was clearly on the proviso that I also purchased a Sony International Warranty in the event there was a problem it was serviceable over in the UK.  
 
On receipt it was not as agreed and furthermore the warranty sold did not cover problems I had in the UK which incurred me in additional cost and inconvenience returning it to Sony USA on 2 ocassions.  
 
To conclude the Laptop finally ‘gave up’ on the 11th of March 2005. Fortunately all data was able to be recovered through the loading of a reduced windows operating system. Given my problems I had no option but to buy another laptop from another source.  
 
I consider I was mis-sold the warranty and as a result the Laptop.  
 
In view of the above I have requested a full refund to my credit card and consideration of additional costs I have incurred and the inconvenience caused. NO RESPONSE TO DATE.

Pricescan said they had the digital camera I was interested in stock. I placed the order on line and two days later got a call. The usual bate and switch. When I turned down all of their offers I was told the camera would be shipped in 3 weeks. A waste of time.

WATCH OUT! STAY AWAY!  
They will talk you into all sorts of "extras", lie about the price, say that they will give you free shipping and then charge you for it all. Man, what a nightmare. I'm sure that they will charge me a restocking fee when I return all of the stuff. They are the used car salesmen of the internet...never, ever buy from them.

Bad experience with Niceelectronics. Ordered a Fuji FinePix F10 digital camera from Niceelectronics. The price was very good. Two days later I received a call from a sales person hard selling over-priced accessories. After waiting for 3 weeks for the camera, I called Niceelectronics customer service. They explained they never had the camera and had no idea when it would be in stock. I felt like an idiot waiting anxiously for a camera that wasn't coming. Shameful business practice.

Terrible service. Ordered the camera on November 23, it's now December 5 and still no shipping notice. I was told the camera was in stock when I ordered it and my credit card was billed at the time of the order. The camera was not in stock and still isn't two weeks later. I was told that the backorder would arrive yesterday and it still hasn't. They have lied to me on three occasions, they billed me for a camera they did not have and have not made any effort to communicate or refund my money. Would never do business with this company again. Just hoping to get my money refunded.

I called this company at 9:00 pm to place an order for an Apple G$ laptop they had advertised on their website for $1240.00. I spoke with a sales assistant manager named Allen. He tried to upsell me by telling me their was a much better deal with an upgrade to 1 Gig and that I would recieve a free 3 year warranty, carrying case and this new model laptop was much faster and better than the one I called to order. I fell for it and ordered. I called Apple direct after and was told the price I paid was inflated! I immediatly called the Nice Ecectronics back to cancel my order. They apparently closed for the night,as I could not reach anyone,....but they did charge my credit card that night! I sent them 2 emails telling them to cancel the order. I also NEVER got an email confirmation of the order. I called first thing am 9:30 the next day when they opened. I was told to cancel the order I would have to speak with Allen at ext 314 again. First they told me the order shipped already so I demanded a tracking number which they of course did not have. I called them liars and demanded my order cancelled. I called back customer service and was told no my order had not yet shipped. I again asked them to cancel and was told I would be charged $100 fee. I told them that is no where in their terms and conditions on website. I had just ordered 12 hours ago! Finally Allen said he cancelled my order and the cancel number was 2005 which I thought was a weird number. They proceeded to charge me by sending the bank invoice and removing it from pending to charged! This morning I filed a claim with my bank to investigate this and get the money back. I certainly hope they have not shipped this computer or it will be going right back to them ceritified. I also filed a complaint with Department of Consumer protection. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM! They lie and try to overcharge you!!! They are not even supposed to charge you until they ship and time and time on this website I read a lot of poeple like myself were charged immediatly. Ugh what a bad experience.

Very rude staff. 0 out of 10 for customer service. Excellent prices, but cancelled order after over 30 days waiting since I recieved a different answer everytime I called on where the $3000 order was.  
I would not recommend Nice for any purchase.

THEY WAIT UNTIL YOU CALL THEM TO COMPLETE YOUR ORDER, THEY TRY TO CONVINCE YOU TO BUY DIFFERENT OR ADDITIONAL ITEMS SO THAT THEY CHARGE YOU MORE, THEY LIE TO YOU WHEN ADVERTISING THOSE ITEMS, NO RETURNING, THEY CHARGE MORE THAN 10% IF YOU WANT TO RETURN, THEY ARE NEVER REACHABLE BY PHONE OR E-MAIL.  
I GOT A LAPTOP A MONTH AGO AND THEY SENT ME SOMETHING I DID NOT ORDER, I TRIED TO RETURN IT, THEY DON'T ACCEPT. THEY STILL HAVE MY MONEY AND THE COMPUTER. NOW I'M WASTING MORE TIME ON FILING COMPLAINTS!  
NEVER EVER SHOP AT NICE ELECTRONICS!
