DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!! I ordered a cartridge that never worked out of the box. This was bad enough, but when I asked for a replacement they refused, saying that they do not accept returns of faulty items and it was in their fine print. Who ever heard of a store that would sell you something that didn't work and then not replace it. It's just plain robbery.

NEVER AGAIN...READ AND SAVE YOURSELF GRIEF!
Dell XPS computer was purchased as "refurbished". It came in non-factory, flimsy packaged and arrived DOA. The unit had cracks and scratches that were mostly cosmetic but much worse than the Dell Factory refubished units. I have concluded that the system was simply "used" and not refurbished. The system had a hardware problem with its media reader that could have been detected if the unit was tested prior to shipping. I know the unit was not tested because the batter operated wireless moused had leaking, dead AA batteries in it. The bottom line was they were not willing to replace the item and only offerred me the chance to return the item at my expense -- which was nearly $70 on a $629 item. It is not clear if the shipping to me (also $70) will be refunded when the item is received at their end. SO I COULD BE OUT $140 ON A $629 ITEM THAT WAS LIKELY NOT WORKING WHEN IT WAS SHIPPED.
SHAME ON CONSUMER DEPOT!!

DO NOT SHOP AT CONSUMER DEPOT!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Consumer Depot is the quintessential mindless and faceless internet retailer, with absolutely zero customer orientation. To begin with, this company does not have the capability to bill to your credit card address and ship to a different mailing address. In today's busy world, and with all of the online and identity security capabilities, there is no excuse for an online retailer to not have this capability.
To exacerbate the situation, this retailer does not have the capability to provide true purchase receipts. So forget about reimbursements if you work for a major corporation with traditional accounting standards. When asked, they responded, "the only thing we can offer is the order details page on our website." If they cared about customer service in the least, they would have opened Excel and made one from scratch. Between this and another order, I spent a combined $750 on iPods to be treated like a faceless transaction.
Throughout this process it took them nearly a week to PROCESS my order. I paid extra for express shipping, but it didn't matter, because their internal process for completing this transaction was the bulk of the delay. When the issue of my delivery address arose, they could have easily picked up the phone and called me to have the matter resolved in minutes. Instead, they were slow to respond via email and continually referred to me as "Dear Customer" even though it was someone manually typing an email in response to my complaint and they clearly had my contact information right in front of them. When I would respond to their emails, it took them sometimes a full day to respond, which perpetuated the slowness in completing this order. When I vented my frustration, they responded multiple times by basically saying, this is how we do business and we don't care about you as an individual consumer.
I WILL NOT SHOP AT CONSUMER DEPOT AGAIN, AND I RECOMMEND ALL READERS TO AVOID THIS WEBSITE AT ALL COSTS.

everything was ok except disclosure on one of the Items I purchased and what came with it also customer service does not get back to you so if you buy from Consumer Depot be prepared to get as is what you purchase also there is no phone support from this company. From a scale from 0 to 10 - 7 on the purchase 0 on customer service.

1] I REALLY did NOT LIKE the non-PayPal checkout procees although they do state this in a less than obvious way on the item offering page. In light of #2 below, I was taking a bigger risk by losing the PayPal buyer protection.
2] The ITEM CONDITION WAS NOT AS STATED - it said "fatory sealed" & not only was it open, but their was a fingerprint on the CD
3] The redeeming fact, however, was that upon check with Webroot, the ISV, the 3 User license key was valid and unregistered.
I think that with a large liquidation company like this one, you simply take your chances. They cannot be accurate all the time and things will happen. In this case, since the key was ok, I did not have to use their complaint process. I have a feeling it would be an uphill battle, but that is simply a feeling and I have not factual basis except looking at the size of the operation.

After a few days of not hearing from them, I emailed for tracking information, with no reply. After a week, I called and was told my items was backordered (while their site originally said "in stock"). They did let me cancel the order however and I found someone who had it in stock.

Purchased Garmin update DVD listed as New/Open Box. When an attempt was made to enter the product key it stated it had been used already (rendering the DVD worthless as it needs a product key code in order to be installed and used). Contacted OverStock Dealz and was told That they would refund my purchase cost (because the item was not new} but, 6 weeks later, I still do not have a refund...nor do I expect they will ever send one. Thanks for nothing...I will take my business elsewhere.

I purchased a SanDisk Ultra II 2gb SD Plus USB card from ConsumerDepot for a price of $9.99, well below the next-available price of $17 (or $13.98 on eBay). Not only was shipping inexpensive (~$4), but fast. I received the product on 01/27/2009, sealed and in original packaging.

Bad experience. Ordered a video game at a low price, but the shipment was missing the CD! Used their customer service link on the website, but have not heard back from them (been a week thus far).

I would never consider purchasing from this vendor again. I ordered an audio tower and the box was extremely damaged and I refused delivery. While they EVENTUALLY refunded my entire purchase price, they tried to put the burden on me to create an RMA, and then suggested I'd probably get a refund after they fight it out with the shipping company, as if I should somehow be in the middle of that fight. There was almost no communication once the item arrived damaged and I never received any thing from them once they issued the refund. I also noticed that the price listed on the packaging was half of what they charged me for the item. This review was modified by its author, dmlindsay90, on

first and LAST time buyer with these folks
purchased several items from them . One , an Infocus IN1 projector comes with a removable base containing speakers and further connectivity inputs.. Got the upper part and it works fine..lower part not present at all
also order multiple floppy drives..got one of 3 ordered
They want me to RMA the entire order at my cost loose my shipping BOTH ways to correct their error. To even get this sarcastically worded response took 3 attempts at their online contact form..don't bother calling the number in FAQ they will not acknowledge anything.
I spend thousands each year on tech of various forms....but I'll spend it elsewhere after this.
The projector was a present for a 5 year old (fits to a Wii)..try telling him that it has to be returned...

I would NEVER recommend Consumer Depot or Overstockdealz to anyone! We purchased an Altec Lansing iPod speaker system online from them that was advertised to be 'New/Open Box'. When we set it up and tried to use it, we found the dock to be broken or bent causing the fit of the iPod not to be stable enough to work. Not one of the cradles/adaptors that came with it made things any better. The only way we could get it to work was to place a tube of hand cream behind the iPod to support it into the proper position. Then the connection worked. My husband and I made numerous attempts to get customer service online and by phone to no avail. We kept getting handed off to someone else by the man we talked to on the phone. No one even acted like they wanted to make things right or help us. We are most disappointed in this transaction. I can't believe this company has any business if this is the way they handle customer service.
