Placed an order on 10/15/2009. Read reseller ratings next day and called to cancel order and was told order was canceled. On 11/6/2009 received email canceled order had shipped. I canceled order and 21 days after order was canceled they ship it out. What a joke of a company.

I purchased a USB Modem from Consumer Depot. It arrived without the driver CD and the RJ-11 cable that were listed as contained in the box. The modem I received was different from that pictured on the Consumer Depot web site, and I received an open box item, which was also not indicated on the page describing the modem. When I e-mailed Consumer Depot to inquire about the missing parts, they offered me a refund if I shipped the modem back to them at my expense. I decided not to throw good money after bad. Also as indicated elsewhere in other reviews here, some people never received refunds that they were promised.  
 
Before ordering from Consumer Depot, consider the following:  
 
The Better Business Bureau rates them with their lowest score, F.  
The Tennessee Attorney General has a case pending against Consumer Depot alleging deceptive practices.  
The charged me $9.99 for shipping. The actual cost of shipping was no more than $3.00(including shipping materials), and that's assuming that they bought the padded envelope at Walgreens.  
 
Buyer beware!

Consumer Depot shipped me a USED printer when I ordered and paid for a new one. I have been trying to get them to refund my shipping charges for FIVE months and they continue to make excuses for why they can't refund my money.  
 
It it had been an honest mistake, then they should not have given me so much trouble. Clearly they were trying to pass off a used item for new - completely dishonest...  
 
They don't answer their phones and don't care about customer service. This is not a reputable company!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

Ordered an XBox 360 for my sons Bday. I opened the XBOX and turned it on and it worked. I gave it to my son on his BDay 13 days later and he started getting 3 red lights on it(Red Ring of death). Since it took me some days to realize it was an issue with the box, I sent it to Micosoft for warranty repair. MS took the xbox because the serial number was valid, but the warranty was out of date. 3 weeks later I got the XBOX back with a message saying they wont touch it because it's been opened by someone.  
 
ConsumerDepot says too bad for you because your 14 days are up, you can take it to a 3rd party for a repair.  
 
Thanks ConsumerDepot for shipping something that should not have been shipped and expecting your customers to know everything about the issues with XBOX360 before they get one. I will certainly not be back, I'll stick with NewEgg.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!! I ordered a cartridge that never worked out of the box. This was bad enough, but when I asked for a replacement they refused, saying that they do not accept returns of faulty items and it was in their fine print. Who ever heard of a store that would sell you something that didn't work and then not replace it. It's just plain robbery.

HORRIBLE people run this site. My son ordered an XBOX 360 "refurb" and it arrived DOA, just a few red lights lit up and the screen said something about hardware problems. We set up an RMA and returned it and they wrote us back saying the box had been tampered with (opened up) and they shipped the faulty XBOX back to us! Then they sent us phony photos of someone elses XBOX with sticker marks, saying these were proof that we removed their "do not remove" stickers. These aren't even genuine XBOX stickers, mind you, they are stickers that consumerdepot added to the unit. They are a bunch of LIARS and THIEVES, and we are in the middle of charge-back procedures with our bank. BUY YOUR MERCHANDISE ELSEWHERE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AVOID THESE GUYS LIKE THE PLAGUE!! I ordered a G drive mini triple and was sent a G drive mini combo. Since I needed FW800---which comes with the triple---and the combo only has FW400, I cannot use the drive with my Mac OS10.5. I've sent several e-mails to customer service, telling them politely that they sent the wrong item, and asking for a full refund. Each time they've come back saying sorry, this item is non-refundable. Finally, they said "it appears you have received the proper item" and I would have to contact the manufacturer "for warranty and support." This despite the fact that on the packing slip it clearly states "USB FW400 & USB FW800".

HORRIBLE!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS MERCHANT! Printer ink cartridge I received was defective and totally non-functional. Merchant REFUSED to exchange, replace, or issue a refund! They even REFUSED to issue an RMA# to look at my BRAND NEW, but DOA out-of-box, non-functional ink cartridge. I have never had a company take such a "sold as-is", "no return under ANY reason" policy, even when I point out that such a stance is in violation of the Federal Warranty of Merchantablity and Fitness that states that all products sold in America must be " fit for the purpose to which it was intended when sold". I can accept a no warranty position, but not a " yes it wont work at all, and we know this, so we sell them as-is, so its not our problem when they dont work" attitude and position. BUYER BEWARE!! Translate no warranty from this merchant as " its not gonna work, we know it, but too bad for you". And if that's there position on no-warranty, I would never take their word for an actual warranty. I may sound harsh, but remember, I was told, no return, no exchange, no refund, no evaluation, no discussion, if you send it back without an RMA we will refuse to accept it, and we refuse to issue an RMA, SO if you send it back, we can/will refuse it.

This company is ran by crooks. I ordered 2 pedestals from this company, one which was greatly priced b/c it was a demo model. Of course they shipped me the full price model and later sent me an email saying the demo was out of stock. I ordered over the phone and the guy told me both were in stock. What the hell am I going to do with 1 pedestal!? DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I read negative reviews and ignored them. Don't make that same mistake, THEY ARE NOT HONEST. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID AT ALL COST. CROOKS, CROOKS, CROOKS.

I bought merchandise worth $984, and they reimbursed me $700. the merchandise was wrong, didn't work and wasn't reimbursed the full amount. i could not get in touch with anyone in person to discuss my matter and the sales person acts aloof to any situation.

I ordered two 1gb rams chips. They sent one 1gb and one 512mb. I told them about the error and they replied stating they don't have another 1gb. I was given an RMA to return but they will not refund the shipping charges for the first item (they charged additional for the 512mb RAM that I didn't want) and I have to pay shipping to return it. Unacceptable. I will not ever purchase from again and I will not refer them.

I ordered two color print cartridges for my hp printer.. neither of the cartridges worked properly.. the first cartridge didn't print any color and the second cartridge prints an extremely faded version of color... barely legible.

Consumer Depot is aweful. I bought 2 remote start systems, and one of them came without the door lock/unlock wire. Since they sent me a defective product the expect me to repackage it, and accommodate all their needs to RETURN the item, they wont simply send me the part that my product should have come with, and they will not just exchange it. They expect the consumer to pay for return shipping ($10) and shipping for buying a whole new product (another $10!!) because they sent me a defective product. Absolutely aweful, never buying from them again! Techforless.com is way more reliable and has much better deals. stick with them

Item totally not as described,packaged poorly,shipped with the battery(defective) and ac adapter on top of the lid for the LCD.Screen has compression marks on it.Returned within 7 days and with the RMA # clearly on the box and they still refused it.If you deal with these clowns and get a bad deal,good luck trying to get your money back from them.Just file a chargeback with your credit card.AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

This company has found a great way to scam buyers! BEWARE! We received a totally defective Xbox 360 and purchased a one year warranty. You cannot be reimbursed for the shipping on defective mdse ($22) or for the $30 warranty, AND you have to pay to send it back. From other reviews I've read, I don't expect to even see the refund. The "fine print" already states that they don't have to send me a new system, just refund my purchase price. Lousy deal!
