I recently purchased an Area51 M17X notebook, what an awesome machine, hats off to Alienware!  
I had it customized to my specifications, taking notebook gaming to a new level.I'm dueling SLI twin Nvidia8800M-GTX, Intel 9000 CPU 2800/800 6m,  
Seagate 320GB 7200 16MB Sata HDD drive, 8X dvd+/-  
NEC optical reader, 1GB intel turbo cache, intel pro wireless, cyberlink webcam, backlite with alien affects(touchpad,keyboard,alienhead). Ops system is Vista Ultimate also added Office 07. If your techy with XP Pro, Vista is a piece of cake!!!!  
Alienware put me together a notebook of a lifetime! I took my Alienware to my Fantasy Football league draft last weekend. Ten team draft. Nine other team managers were really impressed with the graphic's, lots of compliments. By the way, I didn't leave my AreaM17X for one moment, it would have been gone!!! This was an expensive build, but worth every cent. Thanks Alienware!  

I have to admit I was a little timid on order from Alienware. I've been saving for this machine for some time and wanted to be sure I was going to get what I paid for and be taken care of. I did my research, read many reviews, and they seamed to be mixed. But now after living the experience...I would certainly do it again in a heartbeat. Superior customer service! I had some payment issues (all my fault) and I spent some time with a couple Alienware agents on the phone. They quickly helped me resolve the issue and completed the transaction. The online ordering process was a breeze. Lots of options and info to help educate me. To my delight all the packages showed up a day early, safe and sound. No problems what so ever.

Excellant Notebook very beefy and very powerful, i just wish i would have shelled out that extra money to get the dual sli cards in it but overall, i can have all my design programs open on two differant monitors and still play games.

I recently ordered a notebook from Alienware and have found them to be a fantastic company. My notebook shipped very quickly and any questions I had were quickly answered by helpful Alienware representatives. My notebook was in great condition and works superbly! I'm actually using it to type up this review right now!

I love this computer. I was amazed to find that for the specs i wanted Alienware was actually 300 to 500 dollars cheaper than Dell, Gateway or HP. The system arrived and everything runs smoothly no glitches at all. I have owned computer since the first Commadores came out and this is the first time that a new computer hasn't had some issue or another in the first weeks of ownership. The quality of craftsmanship inside is excellent most systems when you open them up are a mass of disorginized cables. The computer in neatly layed out cables run and bundled and out of the way. I cant think of a single thing about the my experience with this computer so far that i have not enjoyed. Excellent buying process and amazing computer.

Online customization of the computer couldn't have been any easier. Multiple options were given for every component of the machine and the price was updated accordingly when changes were made.  
 
Communication about the status of the order was extreme good as well. After purchasing the computer, you could look at a specific webpage and see what part of the productions your computer was in.  
 
Alienware also exceeded my expectations for shipping in a cost efficient and timely manner. The website said shipping wouldn't occur for about 2 weeks after my order, but much to my surprise, they built my computer quickly and with great care and the order was actually shipped only a few days after the initial purchase.  
 
All in all, my experience at Alienware was fantastic and when the time comes for me to upgrade or get a new computer, I plan on using them again. I would also recommend Alienware to my friends and family as they have provided me with the best online shopping experience and the best computer I have ever had!!

The service was wonderful. I called in rather than ordering online because it was a family member's credit card that I used for payment. The salesman I spoke to was friendly and knowledgeable, and he was easily able to look up my saved online cart and sell it to me over the phone. All aspects of the call were handled quickly and professionally and my order was placed promptly. After the sale I received e-mails for every step of the way, from confirming receipt of order/payment to notification of shipment with a tracking number. The package arrived even before the website's estimated shipping date which made things even better. I would certainly recommend buying from Alienware and I know I will for all future laptop purchases.

First of all, the Alienware live chat staff provided excellent support throughout the entire purchasing process. They answered all my questions before I ordered anything, while I was ordering, and even afterwards.  
Alienware has a really neat alert-system set up so that they keep you updated with your order on very minute details. The updating is also accurate.  
One thing that truly amazed me was the speed at which Alienware strived to build and ship my order. It was as if they knew I needed it by a certain date. They shipped it to me about 2 weeks before the estimated ship date!  
 
On top of all that, Alienware consistently has emailed me about service, support, my satisfaction with my purchase, and just generally keeping up with their customers.

I had a great experience purchasing from Alienware. First off, the computer (Area 51 m15x) is PERFECT. It has worked perfectly since I opened the box. Set-up was a breeze, and I've had absolutely no problems so far. As for Alienware itself, I couldn't be more satisfied. My computer shipped way ahead of schedule (by about 2 weeks?!?) and I have had no reason to call Customer service. I will definitely buy another computer from Alienware. Maybe my next desktop?...

My recent purchase of the M15x went as well as anyone could have expected. The status page was updated regularly and my inquiry for an estimated ship date was met with a prompt response and the estimated date I was given was right on. The computer runs beautifully and I have had absolutely no problems with it. I would absolutely make my next purchase from this company.

I ordered the Alienware Area-51 m17x notebook from alienware.com and I am very pleased with their service. I received it within two weeks after ordering it. And everything worked as it should right out of the box. Except the speakers, but a quick driver update fixed that problem. I haven't had the need to contact customer service yet, but I've heard good things about their customer service. I will definitely buy another Alienware in the future.
