I have purchased from J&R.com several times and so far have received excellent service. The items ordered arrive on a timely manner and in perfect condition. Only once have I had to return something and it was not due to defect of the item; received prompt and polite service and the corresponding refund within a few days.  
I particularly buy from J&R since they ship to Puerto Rico without problems; many online vendors don't-- even though Puerto Rico is part of the United States and has the same shipping alternatives and prices as in the states.

They work to answer any questions you may have about the product and if the operator does not know the answer they find out for you. Each time I have used J&R the order has been sent out the same day I placed the order and it has been packed very well and reached me on or before the day they told me it would. WE purchased a Hp Officejet Pro 8000 on Sunday, October 12 at about ^ PM PST. the Printer arrived on Monday, October 19. the delivery was within the promised time frame. The printer was just as advertised at the lowest price available on the net as of the time I placed the order. A great transaction with a company that delivers on its promises.

Horrible company and I will not order from them again. I ordered a computer and printer 1 week ago and have not received it. First I was not allowed to have a different shipping address than my billing address though I am not home during the day. Second, when I called several days ago to find out why there was nothing being done with my order (it just said it was pending, J&R said there was a backorder on the printer. They should have contacted me to ask if I wanted the computer at least. The order would have sat there for weeks had I not called with no communication. I told them I would not be home to recieve the shipment from UPS during the day and they said they would hold it for me at the UPS site. Instead today Oct 21st UPS tried to deliver and I was not home (Duh). When I called UPS to get the order held at the UPS site. I was told I did not have the option because J & R wouldn't allow it !!!! Unlike any other UPS shipment I have ever had in my life! Unbelievable. So now I still don't have a computer, in fact it will be sent back to them I guess. I am really angry and will be repeating this review anywhere on the internet I can.

I have purchased several items from J&R Computers recently and each has been a great experience. The quality excellent, price very competitive and shipping speed and packaging second-to-none. I have no hesitation at all recommending J&R Computers very highly - at the top of the range of on-line stores.

Everything about experience was perfect.  
I was searching internet for a unlocked cell phone - when it struck me I should see if J&R, who I buy other electronics from, would have one. I found a number of great deals. When I called Customer Service,to see whether the phone came with a battery, I only had to wait 5-10 seconds even though it was a Friday night. The customer service rep, Jason, answered my question and gave me his extension in case I had any follow up questions.  
I ordered a cell phone, at a good price, and it arrived quickly. The phone was as advertised and worked perfectly.  
One reason I shopped with J&R is because I knew that if there were an issue, that it's the type of company where the issue would be straightened out without a fuss.
