3/24: Package was not delivered within "guaranteed" time frame. I am still awaiting this book for a class & am falling behind in the meantime. Emailed customer service on Thursday (3/22); still no response. Wal-Mart’s shipping method is confusing: UPS transfers package to USPS; once in USPS' system, there is no specific tracking info available--not even an updated ETA. Customer Service unresponsive.

Update 3/27: I have still not received my package (from an order that was placed on 3/14). I have since received two emails from Customer Service, but they have failed to offer quick resolution to the issue. They asked that I wait until 2/27 (today) to contact them again (13-days AFTER placing my order), and if the package has still not been delivered, they would then assist. Now that I’ve waited the specified time, I’ll send an email out this morning and will post an update once I receive resolution.  
 
 
At this point, I am a Dissatisfied Customer. This package was guaranteed to be delivered one week ago & I am falling very behind in my online class. Most e-tailers would have sent out a replacement via expedited shipping by now, as the item is only $17. It is no wonder their ResellerRatings score is so low. I guess because they are “Wal-Mart,” they feel that a few neglected customers won’t hurt their business.  
 
Wal-Mart Customer Service has so far been useless & has only dished out canned responses to my inquiries.

I ordered a blu-ray with overnight shipping because it was a late gift, and the item was recieved 2 days later. This was not a problem because it came in time, but I was told it was due to processing time. You would think that if an item is ordered for overnight shipping they would expedite the processing of it. Also I ordered the item at around 8:00am to try and get it the next day. Oh well decent service and I would do business with again if needed because of stock but not otherwise.

I ordered a bluetooth headset from Walmart.com on Feb. 2nd. It is now Feb 12th. and no headset. I used their standard shipping option which is called "UPS Mail Innovations". I called Walmart.com's customer service and waited on hold for 15 minutes just to be told that the CSR could not tell me the status of my order because it was shipped by the US Postal service. I was offered the choice of either A Credit on my credit card or to have the Item re-shipped via UPS again. I took the credit and told the CSR that I would not order from Walmart online again. She just said OK and thanked me for shopping at Walmart. No apology, or anything. I would suggest that people NOT order from Walmart.com

I've contacted them but haven't gotten a meaningful answer about what the problem is.

My daughter used my credit card to pay for a ring that had each of the kids birthstones in it for christmas. I was told if we ordered it buy 12-05-06 it would get here by 12-22-06 so i figured we would order it almost 2 weeks early just to make sure. Just today the week we are supposed to get it, i get a email from wal mart saying it wont be here and that also it cant be cancelled. Then they go on to say because of the nature of the problem they cannot promise me a ship date at all. So i call the help number and they told me it cant be cancelled even before shipping and that they are looking at mid to late january. I am sure my daughter will be very pleased with this.

I ordered two jackets from Walmart. The price was reasonable including tax and shipping. It was expected to arrive between 11/9 and the 11/16 but BOTH arrived on 11/7!! Incredibly fast service and the packages (while not cleanest from the outside visually but I think that's the product of UPS treatment) were undamaged inside. Will keep Walmart in my checklist of sites to use.

I ordered a Sauder library from Walmart.com with promised delivery date of 9/6/06. On 9/5/06 I went into the UPS tracking site to determine if it was on time. I found that the item had been damaged and returned 12 days earlier. I had recieved no notice of this from Wal Mart. I called customer service and was advised that as the item had been damaged in shipping it could take up to 3 weeks to determine what could be done and then they would contact me to find out what I wanted to do. I asked why a replacement could not have been sent out while they sorted out their claim with UPS and why no one even notified me that the shipment would be delayed. The "customer service" person told me that that was their policy. I canceled the order and reordered with another company at a higher price. I sent WalMart an email advising of this issue and received no return comment.

This is my second order from walmart and both orders were shipped very quickly. They are a good alternative to amazon for books, cds, and dvds. Their prices aren't always competitive, though, when you add in shipping and tax.

I ordered my camera at night on the Tuesday, the 6th with 2-3 day shipping. On the 8th they contact me and say they need to "verify" my order since it was over $500. Now it's the Friday the 9th and the order still hasn't shipped! They even had the audacity to change the estimated arrival date on the website from 6/9-6/13 to 6/13-6/15. I called customer service and they said they can't do anything, but if the order arrives after 6/13 I should call them back. Totally unacceptable processing times for such a large retailer (or any for that matter)...customer service tried to give me the runaround instead of offering overnight shipping for the delays. I will update this review when it comes in.  
 
UPDATE: The camera shipped the same day after I got confirmation via UPS Ground (even though I paid for 2-3 day shipping). UPS actually was amazing and had it to me on Monday. I give UPS props but wal-mart's ordering process and customer service still get low scores from me.

Ordered Halo 2 for XBox. Everywhere I looked the game was priced at $29.99. Wal-Mart.com had it for everyday price of $19.82. Game was listed as shipping in 3-5 days, it shipped in 2 days. Game shipped via US Postal Service. Arrived six days after order was placed, everything as advertised.  
 
SECOND ORDER  
Ordered a ring for Mother's Day. Although it would not arrive in time for M.D. the website made that clear. It was due to customization of the settings. The site said it would take 6-8 weeks to ship. Shipped in three weeks and arrived exactly as ordered. I am very happy with the site so far.

General Situation:  
I ordered a PSP, accessory kit, memory stick, DVD player, and DVD car kit. These items were presents for my daughters for a good school year. I made the order and decided on site to store shipping since my wife drives right by a Walmart on her way home every day. The total was $587.43. Walmart billed my credit card before shipping the items, (which they said they would not do) and the only shipped half of the items. The other half was "on order with a problem between Walmart and the supplier". I found replacement items and asked for a refund on the two items that had not shipped. I was then told that the items had shipped, and I could not get a refund until the items arrived and I did it at the store.  
Shipping:  
I ordered the items and was given a series of expected shipping dates, with the longest one being May 12th 2006. On May 13th 2006 I was informed that two items had not come in, and no one could give me a revised shipping date.  
I am still waiting now, and there is no expected arrival date for the remainder of my order. I will never again use site to store shipping with Walmart. I guess I got what I paid for, since site to store is free.

Placed an order. Realized there was one more item I wanted so I cancelled the first order and placed another. They have an option to cancel orders so I cancelled just 10 minutes after the original purchase. I even sent an e-mail to customer service to make sure to cancel the order. I don't believe they make any effort to cancel orders. About 24 hours later that order shipped. Now I have a double shipment. They take orders but won't cancel them.

Wanted to order a GPS for wife as a gift. The web site showed it in stock, and after a week or more, was finally shipped. Was exactly what I ordered and all went smooth. Best price I could find on net on the particular GPS.
