I placed a pre-order a PS3 game, Haze, which they had advertised at $29.82. I got an email from them at 8:14 pm:

I tried to call them but the number is incorrect!! I sent an email in reply:
Hello,
I do not know why I received this email. I did NOT cancel my order! Please keep my order as-is.
I got another email from them an hour later:
THIS IS BEING SENT FROM AN UNMONITORED MAILBOX. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT help@walmart.com.

Refunds
If you paid by credit card or debit card, this credit should appear on your
next credit card statement.
When I found their number and called I told the lady (Mae) that I took issue with their saying that I canceled the order when I had not. She replied that it was an error on their part and that the order would be canceled and a refund processed. I told her to honor my order and leave it as is. She just apologized (standard "I'm sorry for the inconvenience") and repeated that the order would be canceled. I lodged a complaint with the BBB, for all the good it's going to do. Walmart has lost a customer, not that they care.
Update 1/20/08 ---- Walmart sent me an email: "We apologize for our recent video game pricing error and the incorrect information included in our follow up e-mail correspondence with you.
As we are always striving to provide a positive customer experience, we will be sending you a $10 electronic Gift Card toward a future purchase as an apology for your recent experience. (One Gift Card per affected customer; this card can only be used online at Walmart.com. Look for details in a separate email.)"
At least they finally owned up to it, but I'm sure it's because I lodged a complaint with the BBB. They did in fact send the ecoupon.
