We got a $100 online giftcard for the holidays from a relative, decided to purchase online, and it all went horribly wrong from there. How is it that we can live within 20 minutes of 4 walmarts and it takes 11-17 days to process an order and get the product to store?. We decided after the second day to drive to all the Walmarts and check inventory of our product. All 4 Walmarts each had multiple instances of the product on the shelf and yet we still had no Site to Store confirmation after 6 days. We went back to each store on the 7th day and all the stores had the product on the shelf yet we had to wait once again. On the 9th day ( january 8th ) we got a email claiming to have the product ready and waiting, yeah right as we found out we'd have to wait in a 10 minute line to be told that the associate is new and can't find our product for the next 15 minutes. Walmart Online is broken, stay away.

I too just purchased a game yesterday and had it canceled. I was told it was a pricing error and now they have my personal and credit card information and I also canceled my preorder locally after receiving confirmation of my order.  
 
I have contacted the better business bueru about this and I suggest everyone who had a similar experience do the same. This is an unacceptable business practice.

I have the same problem with jamerican413...pre-ordered some games but the order got canceled which I didn't request. I emailed customer services and they replied with this:  
 
"At the time you placed your order, the price of the item(s) listed below was incorrect on our website. Due to this issue, we have canceled the item(s) from your order. No further action is required on your part regarding this issue and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."  
 
the pricing they have for these games are so good to be true, and indeed they are. this is very poor business practice, using "false advertising" to get people to their site. Walmart, if you want some attention, you got it. But you have just lost another potential customer, as I'll never buy anything from walmart.com again.

I placed a pre-order a PS3 game, Haze, which they had advertised at $29.82. I got an email from them at 8:14 pm:

When I found their number and called I told the lady (Mae) that I took issue with their saying that I canceled the order when I had not. She replied that it was an error on their part and that the order would be canceled and a refund processed. I told her to honor my order and leave it as is. She just apologized (standard "I'm sorry for the inconvenience") and repeated that the order would be canceled. I lodged a complaint with the BBB, for all the good it's going to do. Walmart has lost a customer, not that they care.  
 
Update 1/20/08 ---- Walmart sent me an email: "We apologize for our recent video game pricing error and the incorrect information included in our follow up e-mail correspondence with you.  
 
As we are always striving to provide a positive customer experience, we will be sending you a $10 electronic Gift Card toward a future purchase as an apology for your recent experience. (One Gift Card per affected customer; this card can only be used online at Walmart.com. Look for details in a separate email.)"  
At least they finally owned up to it, but I'm sure it's because I lodged a complaint with the BBB. They did in fact send the ecoupon.

I did not get my package for 13 days, no one ( when I got a hold of them ) could tell me anything. Walmart is going down hill fast. I never liked to shop there and now I don't like shopping at their online store as well.

DO NOT buy from Walmart.com. Their cancellation policy is: You can't. There is no way to reach them. They give you this nice, big box to fill out on their email form, then they ignore it, and send you a stock reply which has nothing to do with your email.  
 
I looked them up at godaddy.com to get a phone number, I then sat on the phone for 20 minutes before I even got the honor of speaking with anyone. She then spent all this time getting my information just so she could tell me she couldn't help me.  
 
The whole process was very frustrating, and not the way I want to do business. I definitely want to be able to get hold of a company that I order from. Otherwise, what do you do if there is a problem???

I ordered a Wistler 400Watt Inverter and had it shipped site to store. The expected delivery time was 7-10 days. After 14 days I received an e-mail stating that there was some "unknown" problem, and that I would be notified shortly with the status of my order. More than two weeks later I received an e-mail stating that my payment had been refunded, no explanation, no instructions for receiving the item. I e-mailed them, and received only an automated message in response, stating that the item was damaged and needed to be ordered again.  
 
Finally after e-mailing them a second time I received a human response stating that I could order again, and they would pay for shipping to my home. I had to wait for the order to process and ship again, but thankfully they did reimburse me. In the end, I was still dissatisfied with the process, but grateful they had at least done something to fix it.  
 
I was extremely dissatisfied with this process. There is no way it should have taken 18 days to discover my item was damaged. I also should have been informed as to what the status of my order was after the item was refunded. To top it all off, Walmart refuses to even deliver the item as per the original order.

I GIVE WAL-MART A RATING OF 8.5. THEY WERE FAST AND FRIENDLY IN THE RETURNS DEPARTMENT. ALOT OF TIMES YOU GET PEOPLE WHO HAVE LESS THAT KIND ATTITUDES, WHICH CAN CAUSE YOU TO NEVER SHOP AT THEIR STORE AGAIN. BUT I RECEIVED THEIR UNDIVIDED ATTENTION AND KINDNESS. ONE CAN CALL THIS TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THANKS SISSIE

Ordered a portable A/C-Heater combo (about $450) from Wal-Mart.com on 6/18/07 and selected "Site-To-Store" to save $$$$ on S&H. It took two weeks to arrive, not bad...but still believe that's a little too long to wait when the temp. has been over 90 degrees F recently. Anyway, that's one thing I wasn't too happy about because I could've bought this from another online store and have it shipped to my house sooner (in about half that time).  
 
My other complaint is that I got an email on 7/2/07, two weeks later, stating it's ready for pick up at the store. When I arrive that same day, I'm told that it's not there yet and is probably still on the truck that hasn't arrived yet. I asked the "knowledgeable" employee why would I get an email stating it's "ready for pick up" on an item that wasn't even there, but of course she had no clue. I didn't complain to a manager (which I should have), but I did send an email about this experience to help@walmart.com. Who knows if they'll ever respond and apologize. *shrugs*  
 
The next day, my wife went down there (since she had a day off) and it finally arrived. My only good thing to say about this experience was the employee was kind enough to load it in the car for her. It's heavy, over 60 lbs. and I unloaded it when I got home from work. Now, let's hope that this freakin' portable a/c-heater combo works because it's gonna be 90 degrees F again today. If it doesn't work or was damaged during shipment, you better believe I'm gonna return it and edit my review/complaint here.

I placed an order for a Garmin nüvi™ 350 GPS Receiver on June 18th for $369.54. I received an e-mail right way with my order information. Notice that a hold on funds was placed for $500.00 against my card. Web site stated 7-10 day you will receive an e-mail when the item arrives at the store.  
Today, I arrived at the store to find out why I have not received an e-mail. The store could not answer my questions and told me to call the 800 number on the website. Using the automated order tracker I was informed that the item was to arrive at the store on 7/11 then I was disconnected. Had to call back to get a live person who told me the item did not ship until 6/26 and that it appeared that my unit had been on back order (while all the time it was featured on the main web page). Check tonight, I find that Wal-Mart has charged my account for the item I have yet to receive.  
 
I asked that my card be refunded as I wish to cancel this order. I was told that as it had already shipped to there store, I would have to wait until it arrive at the store, take my e-mail telling me that it had arrived and ask for a refund from the store.

Ordered a digital camera from Walmart.com on June 12. Was called on the 15th to confirm my order. Also received an email from Walmart.com stating I would receive two more emails confirming shipment of the camera and arrival at the store, as I opted for the "site to store" delivery option. As of June 26 I had not received any notification, so I called Walmart.com trying to find out why. CSR said camera was shipped out on June 19. Asked for refund, was told it was not possible. I then went to the local Walmart where the camera was to be sent, and no camera had arrived after seven days of supposed shipping. Decided all I could do was wait until Thursday June 28, the last day of my "delivery window." Went to the local Walmart again, and no camera. Had manager of said Walmart call Walmart.com. Still nothing could be done, for the camera was still in transit, although new CSR confirmed that the camera had not been shipped until THAT DAY, June 28. So, I don't have a camera after more than two weeks and I can't get a refund until the camera arrives. Needless to say, I will never order from Walmart.com again, and will probably never shop at a local store either.

The ordering process was painless. Had called prior to placing the online order to get a couple of preorder questions answered. Customer Service person was knowledgeable, and courteous. Order went through without a hitch. Order tracking process was straight forward. Packing was OK. They could have used a box half the size of the one used. Item arrived as promised and in good shape. Will consider using them in the future as need dictates. Will be watching the “site to store” service as it becomes available in my area.

I've ordered stuff from walmart.com many times - both shipped to home and "site to store". I've never had a problem with them.
