I placed an online order (Site-to-Store shipping, which was the only available option, red flag #1) for an iPod Touch, only reason I ordered online, it was like $10 cheaper than the store itself and came with a free accessory kit. When ordered, it said 7-10 days shipping. I was semi-ok with that, I mean I got some free stuff, right? So I ordered it. 3 days later, my accessory kit comes in, shipped by FedEx. Today is now the 23rd, and I'm still sitting here without my ipod. The thing about Walmart and Walmart.com, is it's 2 different companies, they cannot let you take stock from the store, you have to wait on YOUR product to come in. Also, after you order, they give you an estimation of roughly 16 days from your date of order. 7-10 days my butt!! My ipod's status has said "In Transit to Store" from a location about an hour and a half away since yesterday at 7:34am. Trying to call the store and getting someone to look for it is like pulling teeth, all they ask is if you "got an e-mail". If you can afford to wait and wade through red tape, go ahead and order from them, but if you're like me and most others, and want something faster than what you can get it from Hong Kong, STAY AWAY!!!

On December 30th I ordered a childrens bed set and a sofa sleeper from the .com site. I went with site to store to save on shipping, so I figured it would take awhile. Suprisingly, carton 1 of the bed set arrived early at the store, when I went to the store to pick up the item, it was the wrong color. I then asked if they could just exchange it and reship the correct color. In a nutshell, the associates at the store advised me that they couldn't do anything about it other than refund my money. They did not have a contact number for the .com site and didn't know how to address the issue. The other problem was that even though this item is ordered as a set, they charge for each seperate carton. Thus, I only received 1/3 of my money. I immediately called the .com site when I returned home after navigating their voice menus forever. They did try to help out and had me reorder the item and then covered the expense of shippiong the items. This was done on January 3rd. Today I received my order and again it was the wrong color. This time, the .com site called me to tell me that they just found out that the wrong color shipped again and it was a problem with UPC's at the fullfilment center. They would call and have UPS pick everything back up and refund my money. I asked why they couldn't just ship the correct color and was told that due to the UPC problem, they could not do it. If I wanted to wait 2 weeks, I would be able to re-order it online and it would be correct. The sad thing is, they have not removed it from their site or suspended the item pending correcting the problem. I could order it right now and recieve the wrong color again. They offered a $50 gift card for my troubles if I wanted to keep it. Problem is, they have over $1000 of my money between 2 beds and a couch. I will have to wait on a credit for this most recent order and then I have to wait for the initial order to reach the store before I can request a credit on it that I'll have to wait for again. In all honesty, they could keep the stupid $50 and just ship me the correct color and I would have been fine.

We bought a Blu ray DVD player on monday because it was on sale. Yesterday I found the same DVD player in their ad, so today we took our receipt to the service desk. They tell us that they don't give refunds on Black Friday Ads, and even if we returned it we could not buy back at the service counter but would have to get it from the shelves, which had no more.

Three attempts at fulfillment resulted in an order being cancelled, a site to store item not being found, and a 6 AM call to wake me up and make an insulting offer.

NEVER, EVER, EVER do business with these lying thieves.

I bought a Playstation 3 40GB from Walmart.com. I went for the deal that gave me a "free" $100 gift card. The Playstation 3 arrived in a smashed up box. The outer FedEx packaging was just fine. Someone chose to send me a smashed up box that had clearly been opened already. They had tried to seal it back up with wide blue Walmart.com shipping tape. I returned it to the local store. They only gave me $299 back although I paid $399. So, I am out $100 for the gift card. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

if you're planning on buying from them - think again. i ordered twice -- shame on me. first time i ordered a gps unit for my road trip. i picked a 2 day shipping. after 3 days i checked my order status only to find it in "processing" stage. thanks for that one, walmart! second time i had to find out that there is "no cancellation or change" policy the hard way.
bottom line: you will be much happier paying the extra couple of bucks and buying somewhere else, like amazon.

I ordered a Pioneer DVD player on May 29 for delivery to the local store. When I had heard anything since the orderconfirmation I went to the Walmart website and found my order had been cancelled on the 30th. I never recieved a notice of the cancellation. When I inquired they said it had been out of stock but but is now shown as in stock as it had been when I ordered but is supposedly really available if.I want to try my luck again. The HDMI cable I ordered at the same time is still on its way to the store, maybe next week.

I ordered the same DVD player last year and had it shipped to the house. It arrived promptly, but was packaged poorly, just the factory display carton with a shipping label, not in another box.

Maybe I should have read some of the reviews about Walmart before ordering from the.

Anyway, I haven't received the item I ordered.

Walmart said 7-10 delivery time what they neglected to say is that their processing time is around 5 days.

Just my opinion but it seems that 11 to 15 days is too long to wait for your item

Please heed my warning, and be very wary of purchasing from WalMart.com. I ordered an MP3 player and a DVD player from them on April 15. The next day I got an email stating that they shipped the MP3 player, but the DVD player was being processed. I also got an email from my bank about some suspicious charges to my account. I looked, and I had been charged $81.28 five times by Walmart.com. No biggie at this point, I call Walmart and they say that they will fix the problem right away. The next day I have twenty charges of this same amount to my account. I call Walmart.com and they tell me that there is nothing that they can do; that my bank needs to deal with it at this point. SO, I call my bank and have them remove the authorizations for all of the pending 81.28 charges. The next day I check my account and have nearly 70 81.28 charges, and my account is severly overdrawn. Walmart.com gives me the "its my bank' excuse again along with "the person in charge of this is out today" excuse. I am appaled at how unprofessional and unsympathetic this company was considering that THEIR computer glitch was draining my account.
I finally had to have my bank issue me a new bank card with a new number as it was the only way to stop their constant barage of charges to my account.
Nothing is worth the inconvienience that I have been through the past few days. Buy your items somewhere else.

And after all of that they didn't even offer me an apology.

Incredibly bad on-line customer experience...Incredibly misleading Customer information and procedures, read on: Placed online order yesterday (Thurs 3/27), in stock item LG 1500-4 prepaid cell phone...bought 1 day shipping for 78 yr old mother's birthday 3/31/08...ordered & paid for pdt on-line...(bank confirms money debited from my acct. at time of transaction 10:53 am)...only after paying for item does WM inform me that pdt will arrive anyday from Fri 3/28 to Tues 4/2...for those scoring at home, that's next day shipping an in-stock item but getting it anywhere from 2-5 days after ordering...

In past 24 hrs, the order ship status has never been updated since its 15 min after order "in process" statement...e-mails to WM on-line help desk have been answered by auto-response, no further information (natch!)

WM On-line Customer Service number 800 966-6546, learned from Cust Rep that ALL Walmart on-line orders are aggregated during the day and not even begin to be processed until 12 midnight of that day!!! So "Next Day" arrival of my Thurs 3/27 order on Friday 3/28 is logistically impossible....for WM to tell me my product will be at my home the next day is a L-I-E...a flat out mis-truth...for Walmart to claim on its website that it does not charge the customer until the product has shipped is a L-I-E. My bank debited my account $79.33 one minute after WM processed my order...I do not have that money today, did not have it yesterday afternoon while the order was waiting to BE PROCESSED at midnight...

Oh, by the way, in my case the Cust Rep said WM will use UPS to ship my product, since UPS does not deliver on Sundays exclude day 3 as a possible delivery for "next day shipping"

I ordered an in-stock item yesterday morning with $14.97 for next-day shipping...as of 12:30 today I have no further information about the order than I did 15 min after placing the order, it's "in process"....

My suggestion, do not order from WM on-line unless you can wait days for their worthless procedures and practices none of which they share with you before you purchase...

This is about walmart.com not the store. Walmart.com has a secret 15-day return policy. I found a great price on a Toshiba laptop for $700 that had good high performance specs 2gb ram, 1.9mhz cpu. vista premium & 12 mode dvd-rw drive. Even though it was listed as in stock and avialable immediately they waited 3-4 days to "process" my order and ship it. then they can't provide tracking numbers but there estimated delivery date was 10 days out. The laptop arrived UPS ground no signature required, left out on my front steps for anybody to steal or see. The box was damaged and it was the flimsy skinny internal box that Toshiba supplies with no real padding or protection but it is printed with all the Toshiba laptop details on it to attrect more theives to my front step. Walmart didn't even take the manufacturers box and pack it in there own box.
There were problems with unable to play DVD's or CD's unable to view any only videos or play any only music, unable to play any MP3 or WMV files I downloaded and Flash Player would not run or install which means unable to view some web content, also intermittent video blackouts and intermittent power offs. I called Walmart and they said I should call Tohiba since there arangement was for Toshiba to drop-ship to customers. Toshiba told me that the lack of packaging and rough handling by UPS (training camp for future NFL punters) probably caused loose cable inside the laptop and that the inner box should never be used for shipping, but that Toshibas contract with Walmart called for no outer box in order to cut costs. Eventually Walmart did agree to issue and RMA and arranged for UPS pickup at there expense. All I asked Walmart for was an exchange, not a refund, I just wantred a non-defective, non-damaged laptop. They accepted the return but did npt process it as an exchange, the proceessed it as a refund. When I called to complain, they dumped my call into the "new purchase queue where they now want to sell me a new one at the now higher price becasue the sale was over. I had to fax them a copy of the ad and proof of my earlier otder to convince them to ship the replacment laptop at the original price.
This one had fewer defects: There were problems with unable to play DVD's or CD's unable to view any only videos or play any only music, unable to play any MP3 or WMV files I downloaded and Flash Player would not run or install which means unable to view some web content. Also the DVD tray was popping out randomly on its own and wouldn't pop out when we pressed the eject button.
I called Toshiba multiple times over the next few days to troubleshoot trying many things, Toshiba wanted me to ship it to there repair depot at my expense, I said no and called Walmart to exchange this defective laptop again. They told me that I was 5 days late for there 15-day return policy. I said no they have a 30-day return policy and it's prionted right on there website. They showed me that if I click for details and read the fine-print there are dozens of catgories of products inclusing all electronic products that have a 15-day return policy. Even though I sent them proff that I had been working with Toshiba tech support in good faith on 4 calls over the past 20 days, Walmart refused any consideration and would not exchange this defective laptop. Even thought Walmart an Toshiba reps acknowledged that Walmart has a contract with Toshiba thay says Toshiba will take all Walmart returns no mtter what date no matter what the casue an unconditional no questions asked return policy, they said that agreement is between Walmart and Toshiba and Walmart will not extend that courtey to any customer. So Walmart told me I'm on my own, that they only stand behind there electronics products for 15 days.
Walmart.com is one of the worst websites to purchase from: NO package tracking, estimated ship dates are way off, estimated arival dates are way off, a sneaky tricky 15-day return policy and many items are available on the web only and not in stores and not shipped to store either.

To be clear, this comment is about buying online at walmart.com, not in-store.

I've placed two orders through walmart.com, both site-to-store (they ship free to a local store and you pick it up). The first order went fine and I was satisfied. The second has been a hassle.

They waited until after the end of the estimated delivery window to tell me that the order was delayed and they had no estimate for its arrival. (This is 16 days after the order was placed.)

Their delay notice said I could call for a refund, but then the service rep gave me a runaround and said I would have to wait for the item to arrive at the store (whenever that would be) and then go to that store to get a refund. My order was a gift being sent to my mother's local store, and I wasn't about to send her into the store to handle my refund problem. But even if it wasn't a gift, this is no way to take responsibility for their delay.

The bottom line for me is that walmart.com doesn't "get" customer service in the online world. They need to look to the excellent service of operations like amazon and newegg for some pointers.

Until they fix their operation, I won't order from them again.

We got a $100 online giftcard for the holidays from a relative, decided to purchase online, and it all went horribly wrong from there. How is it that we can live within 20 minutes of 4 walmarts and it takes 11-17 days to process an order and get the product to store?. We decided after the second day to drive to all the Walmarts and check inventory of our product. All 4 Walmarts each had multiple instances of the product on the shelf and yet we still had no Site to Store confirmation after 6 days. We went back to each store on the 7th day and all the stores had the product on the shelf yet we had to wait once again. On the 9th day ( january 8th ) we got a email claiming to have the product ready and waiting, yeah right as we found out we'd have to wait in a 10 minute line to be told that the associate is new and can't find our product for the next 15 minutes. Walmart Online is broken, stay away.

I too just purchased a game yesterday and had it canceled. I was told it was a pricing error and now they have my personal and credit card information and I also canceled my preorder locally after receiving confirmation of my order.

I have contacted the better business bueru about this and I suggest everyone who had a similar experience do the same. This is an unacceptable business practice.

I have the same problem with jamerican413...pre-ordered some games but the order got canceled which I didn't request. I emailed customer services and they replied with this:

"At the time you placed your order, the price of the item(s) listed below was incorrect on our website. Due to this issue, we have canceled the item(s) from your order. No further action is required on your part regarding this issue and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

the pricing they have for these games are so good to be true, and indeed they are. this is very poor business practice, using "false advertising" to get people to their site. Walmart, if you want some attention, you got it. But you have just lost another potential customer, as I'll never buy anything from walmart.com again.
