I ordered 2 CD's, which Overstock shipped right away and were delivered within a week. However, that was their secret! I received an email with an invalid tracking number, so I could not verify that my order was on it's way to me. I contacted customer service 3 times, and each time got a response regarding an order for "wooden chopsticks" and no answer regarding the tracking number.  
 
I've ordered from Overstock many times before, and this example seems to be the normal mode of operation from them - satisfactory order processing, but systemically LOUSY customer service.

Ordered a bottle of obsession for men. Price was good. They weren't the fastest to ship out or send you a notification email when it shipped but it wasn't bad by any means either. Product came in good shape. I seen a some people have been having bad experiences with overstock but in the two orders i've made i haven't had an issue.

Ordered an '18k Gold over Sterling Silver Ruby Heart Necklace' from Overstock since the picture was looking nice and was cheap. Upon arrival, I did not like the product and returned it. They refunded the total amount including shipping.

I ordered a down comforter and was not satisfied with the quality. I returned it the same day it arrived. They keep half my money claiming it was now used and they could no longer sell it as new merchandise. I will never buy from them again!

Just watch out on fine jewelry. I was looking at a 3 ct diamond ring. It says it is "EGS" certified...There is no such thing as the EGS!!!  
Many of their stones are artificially treated, so if this concerns you, be leery. The top gem labs do not usually certify diamonds that have been treated, and since the "EGS" labs do not exist as far as I can tell, I would not trust any certificate from overstock.com. You get what you pay for and $6000 for 3 carats of diamonds did not seem right to me. Actually, I looked through many of their diamond rings and they all seem to be very low quality. I1 or I2 clarity at best, unless treated.  
As far as positive feedback I will give them this...My first purchase was for this Christmas 2008. The jewelery is beautiful to look at and just as described. I complained about the horrible packaging they sent it in, and they gave me a credit so that I can buy my own box for a decent presentation. I just do not trust them for fine jewelry. I bought $200.00 earrings and they were just thrown in a cheap cardboard box. No label or anything saying they are genuine gold and diamonds.  
Bottom line...Yes, the items I received look just as described...But who knows? Cheap box, no labels...I feel like I overpaid. The way they ship makes diamonds and gold look like silver and marcasite or onyx, at best. I hope my mom doesn't open her gift and wonder what is next. They just don't look real. I really hope they are.  
I guess they are ok for smaller purchases, but I would not buy expensive jewelery from this company.

I ordered an Energy C-C100 center channel speaker, and they sent me a box containing 2 Energy C-100 bookshelf speakers.  
 
An easy mistake to make if you aren't paying attention, I suppose, but completely unacceptable for this type of site which only has limited inventory of each item.  
 
They sold out of the center channel speaker which I really wanted, so they can only give me a refund.  
 
I've ordered from Overstock previously and it went just fine, so this is really upsetting. The moral of the story is CALL FIRST before you order.

says nothing about refurbished, and suppose to have 1 year warranty, so the screen says 11/08, they might change it later.  
 
they sent me a refurb with 90day warranty. 1 year warranty, new tv. 90 day warranty, refurb tv. i would never buy a refurb plasma, b/c there is no telling how much use time they have in it.  
 
i called philips to get a new one, b/c the quality of the refurb was sub par, 10% of the pixels didn't work, a button was missing, and philips says they're not an authorized retailer and will not uphold the warranty. they site says 1 year warranty. They lied on their website, twice.  
 
i wouldn't not buy anything big budget from these guys it's probably all refurb items, and becareful about the warranty.  
 
btw, customer service was shocked that it was a refurb and insisted it should have been new, but wouldn't send me out another. what about the warranty?! great run around from philips to overstock.

Just ordered a book. Delivery was fast (usps via ups) in just 3 biz days and it was packed well. They have good prices too.

I received a quilt from this company today that smells like it was soaked in kerosene. I think it was made in a third world country and washed in some kind of bug spray. The quilt itself was pretty enough that I tried to wash the chemical out but that was a big mistake because the washing didn't make a bit of difference and now my washer and dryer smell like it.  
 
Everything that touched the quilt smells of it too. The quilt is packed up and outside on my porch waiting to be returned. It's about 25 degrees out and I have all the windows open to try to get the smell out of my house, but it's still so bad that my eyes sting and my throat is raw.  
 
I've ordered from Overstock before. The prices are good but the quality has been disappointing. This latest thing, though, is on a whole other level. I would not recommend ever buying from them. This is gross negligence.

I'd never bought anything from Overstock until a month ago and since then the two orders I placed were not only great deals, but they were shipped in a very reasonable amount of time and were new and in perfect condition when received as described.  
 
I'll keep buying if they have what I want at a good price -- at least until they give me a reason not to.  

Will not buy from this store anymore. Ordered a Hoya 72MM UV Pro1 Digital filter. Thought it is a brand new because it is not stated otherwise on their site. But received an open item. It was used. This store cannot be trusted.

I've been ordering through Overstock.com for many years now. Surprisingly all the various items I ordered throughout the years were in good quality, and very low prices. Orders arrived quick, and on time. I have yet to find a negative experience from them...

We have never ordered from this company before,but decided to give it a try. Very fast shipping on some CD's and DVD's. Had a great price on them compared to other stores. Thanks

I have only purchased linens/bedding at Overstock, but every one of my many orders has been perfect. They have great descriptions, fantastic prices, and very low flat-rate shipping. What more can you want? I'll be buying from them again.
