Fraud company that refuses to honor it's price match guarantee. They state "buy it at the lowest price, guaranteed" with no disclaimer or conditions. However, when you try to get a price match, they will deny the price match based on ____ (you fill in the blanks). Awful company to do business with.

I was interested in a sink that was out of stock. A week later Overstock emailed me that they had the sinks back in stock (showed 9 in stock). I ordered it (showed 5 in stock).
They charged my credit card the day after I ordered it. Figuring it went through and there were no problems because they charged my card I scheduled the granite counter templaters (they need the new sink and the old one removed) and then had the plumber come out and take off my counters and disconnect my sink.
THREE FULL days after ordering the sink, Overstock emails me and says- order has been cancelled and you have a $5 credit. Chatted with customer service and explained the situation and he said they could give me a $20 credit. Cust. Service said it was a "MISCOMMUNICATION" and they do not have the product--
Customer service SHOULD offer overnight shipping and a WAY better discount on a sink that they actually stock. I still haven't dared to tell my husband that the sink is not on its way. It would be one thing if they discovered a mistake the next day but when you order on Sunday and Wednesday night they notice they do not have what you ordered.
I feel that Overstock does not care! If this is such a rare (as they stated) occurance, Customer service should really be bending over backwards to make it right and find a solution. I am open to suggestions since I have no operating kitchen. In trying to save a little on a good deal on a sink that doesn't exist, it cost me 3-fold in inconvenience and plumbing and labor costs.
Be forwarned! Overstock management should follow up on this instead of ignoring it and letting it go. I ran a business for 25 years and would never treat customers like this, bad feelings spread very far and cost WAY more than a sink would. This is almost fraud--selling items that they don't have. Overstock.com- they do not offer refunds on much of the merchandise they sell, but they fail to make that CLEAR to the unsuspecting buyer until AFTER the purchase has been delivered. I had a LOT of trouble getting a refund from these people on a foam matterss that was very uncomfortable. They even sent me a return shipping tag and an RMA number, then after they signed for it, they started back at square zero. This item is not refundable (all this AFTER they agreed to a full refund). They eventually agreed to honor their commitment, but it was not a pleasant experience. I would prefer to do business with REPUTABLE people like Kohls who will refund ANYTHING that you are unhappy with. And Bed Bath and Beyond promises likewise but I haven't had anything to check them with yet. But I would avoid Overstock, because you are just setting yourself up for a hassle if you have any problems with your order. This review was modified by its author, dand1001, on

TOLD ME IT SHIPPED WHEN IT WASN'T IN STOCK.
I ordered a xmas gift in early december with supposedly 5- 10 business day delivery, and was notified the next day that it had shipped. I didn't check the shipment status until just after xmas, to find to my horror that it had never delivered. So I got in touch with overstock.com who told me they would trace the delivery. Next thing they tell me is they never had it in stock.

I ordered a 22 inch LG Monitor then realized its not one of those fancy TV monitors, so I returned it the same day and reordered a Magnavox TV the next day hoping they might be lenient on their policy.
Well the first mistake I made was I opened it. They have a very screwy return policy that states if you open it and no matter what they will charge you 30 percent and the cost to return it which was a lot as well.
Now what if the off chance I received a defective unit they would still charge me the same 30 percent and the cost of shipping. I actually chatted with a representative online and wasn't much help.
Looks like another business I'm not going to do with the future. It was a loss for me because I bought the TV for a small business and since it was my mistake supposedly I'm out cash. Also takes a total of 7 days to receive anything from them which is a joke onto itself. This review was modified by its author, smulla, on

i ordered a police bible for my state trooper son an email said overstock.com shipped first class on dec 12, 2009 and today is dec 20th and i have yet to receive it. overstock.com says that it won't arrive till january 5, 2010. a first class shipment from kentucky takes almost a month to deliver. yeah right. in the same order guaranteed by christmas i ordered a 3pack 2g flash drive and it shipped on dec 14th and guaranteed by christmas according to overstock.com but now its not coming until dec 28th. their customer service says unless i prove that it was guaranteed too bad. i emailed them their email about the order confirmation and then their story changes. very disappointed in their shipping. first class shipping is the same as priority mail which is 2-3 days and their own website said the stuff shipped over 8 days ago.

Very poor customer service. Rude attitude.
I was wanting to purchase a watch from Overstock.com.
For USA customers it is listed at US$81 + $1 postage.
For an Australian shipping address the price changes to US$106 + $15 postage.
I got a pop up customer service live chat window from 'Nicky' so decided to ask about it.
First I was told the increase in price from $81 to $106 is for the increase in postage cost. I asked isn't that covered in the increase in postage from $1 to $15?
Then I was told it is due to credit card currency conversion fees and import customs duties. I pointed out that both are costs charged to and borne by the buyer.
After this I get pasted the previous response about credit card conversion and customs duties again. It is obvious the rep isn't even reading anymore.
Rep then continues to paste irrelevant info about their company until I close the window.

On November 5, 2009 I purchased a LG 60PS60C 60-inch 1080p Plasma HDTV from Overstock.com for $1395.99. The TV was advertised at a "one-day" sale price. I found the same TV on sale with other online retailers for $1700-1800, so this was around a 20% discount. After ordering the TV, Overstock sent me an order confirmation identifying the 60-inch TV and purchase price, and stated it would be shipped shortly. Overstock then charged my credit card for the purchase price, and on November 9 I received a shipment confirmation that the 60 inch TV had been shipped. On November 11, I received a call from the delivery agent to schedule a delivery time. I asked the agent to confirm the order -- but she told me they were delivering a 52 inch TV! I told her that was not what I had ordered, and she said she would have to check with Overstock. I got a call the next day from an Overstock agent who told me there was a glitch on their website and had shipped the wrong TV. I told him I wanted the 60 inch TV and he told me there were none in stock. He offered me a $100 credit and a refund. I told him I wanted neither, I just wanted the TV. Overstock went ahead and refunded the money anyway. The next day I called and spoke to a different agent. He again told me they didn't have any 60 inch TVs in stock, and said Overstock was willing to give me $175 credit, but nothing more. I told him that was not good enough, because I had already bought an entertainment center and I wanted to know why I wasn't getting the TV. I also had seen other similar TVs on sale for $1500, but didn't take advantage of them because I thought I was getting the TV from Overstock. The agent again told me Overstock didn't have any 60 inch TVs. The following day I got a call from a third agent, who again told me Overstock didn't have any 60 inch TVs in stock. I corresponded with her several times, and she promised me that Overstock would have given me the TV if only they had a 60 inch TV in stock. That is when I discovered that Overstock has the EXACT SAME TV I ORDERED on their website. It was still on their website as of November 17, being adverstised at a price of $2400. When I informed the agent of this, suddenly she changed her story and now said that Overstock would not honor its contract because it was an "obvious" pricing error that I should have known of on my own. I bought and paid for a 60 inch TV. Overstock took my money and then tried to ship me a 52 inch TV. When I discovered this they lied to me about whether they had a 60 inch TV in stock. When I caught them in their lies, they said they didn't want to honor what is essentially a 20% discount to their competitors. I spent two weeks dealing with a number of rude Overstock agents who misrepresented what was going on to me at every turn. At the end of the day, after wasting my time, Overstock did not want to honor the contract we had made, even though I took actions in reliance on that contract and foresook buying a similar TV for a comparable price from other vendors when I had the chance. Overstock was dishonest and rude, and I will never do business with them again.

Order a LCD TV. Back Ordered first, then charge my credit card. Followed by a cancellation but no refund back to my card.
Should they ship the TV then charge my card?
They must be going backrupt, they must be using my money for a free ride for a week or two.
Never to business with them again.

So i order this 32'' Toshiba TV on a nice online deal and was very happy with the price. (the best online).
It was too sad that they just blatantly canceled my order AFTER CHARGING my CARD and then refunding.
And the explanation = NONE, just an email saying there was in Error in my order.
Will never buy from these guys. Its a Joke

Terrible service. Dehumidifier failed within its 90-day warranty period. Contacted them by live chat and was told a "special representative" would have to call me in 1-2 business days with instructions for what to do. 3 days and no call later, I called phone support. When the rep told me the same "special representative" would call in 1-2 business days I asked for a supervisor. Supervisor said she would call the company 1st thing in the morning and call me with instructions. No call. It's like this has never come up before, or they have been trained to give you the run-around. I believe the run-around option.

Avoid the Overstock auctions. I encountered a shill bidder. He bid the auction up in the last few minutes and then retracted a bid when he went over my top bid. He used a bid alias that had on bid on the sellers auctions and won 32 previous auctions. Both the seller and shill listed the home town as the same. Even the feed back that the shill and seller left each other were very similar. It was a VERY obvious case of shill bidding. I immediately reported the incident to Overstock. Almost 2 weeks and no reply or action taken (I reported more than once to be sure.) Overstock obviously does not police sellers and therefore scammers have arrived. Beware.

Ordered speakers from Overstock.com, they shipped quickly but mounting brackets were damaged. Return shipping not cost effective. I placed review warning other buyers of poor quality. It was never posted to the site. The review was accurate, tasteful and the only reason it would not be posted is due to censorship.
I will not order from them again as censored reviews are not reviews. Buyer beware! This review was modified by its author, kybroker, on
