This seller is truly a piece of crap. Ordered a Cannon 990 IS for $225.00. Received two e-mails demanding that I call in for order confirmation. Responded to both that I would not subject myself to a high pressure sales pitch to buy accessories. They called me! I confirmed the order and refused to buy memory cards for $150.00 plus. Suddenly the product is out of stock. The web site says it is in stock and ready to ship. They are truly a piece of crapl.

Was promised merchandise was in stock and we would receive it in 7-10 days. My credit card was immediately charged - on the charge it was from "Camera Wiz" not Techondigital. We never received an email acknowledgement of order. I emailed customer service a few days later to check status - no response. We called on 11/2 and they said the camcorder shipped. We called on 11/7 and they would not speak to us - hung up when we asked about order. Another week or so went by and we called and they said they couldn't get the camcorder - NO credit was issued on my charge card. I called again today 11/19 and as soon as I inquired about a refund they put me on hold and would not pick up the phone again. I'm disputing the charge for item not recieved with my credit card company and will never do business again here - NO customer service whatsoever and were very rude on phone.

Basically, same story as everyone else here. I had to call about a camera that I ordered. I was told that the 1 for $199 was a grey market and that $100 more gets me warrantee. I said no. called next day and asked if I would get the $185 price they are now showing, they said OK and that I will get email with shipping info in 24-48 hours. Next day got email saying item will be out of stock for 6-8 weeks and they are cancelling order. Like an idiot, I have now gone back to www.lowpricedigital.com and chose 86th Photo and video that appears to be the same scam.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM TECHON DIGITAL!!! Bait and switch routine and a waste of your time to even look at for buying anything from them. Sony Cybershot DSC-T700 $245.00 - NOT!!!  
Rude, liars, crooks, Etc. Got heavily preasured to buy accessories. When I declined, I was informed that this was not a USA model and that the USA model would run $350. Canceled my order. Contacted customer service and got hung up on twice within the first 15 seconds. Called a thrid time and was told to call back later to talk to a manager. Called back the next morning to talk to a manager. I can't tell you how rude and stupid these people are. Tell you what, give them a call at 877-425-9933 and see for yourself.

Unbelievable! Techondigital staff are rude, unhelpful lying scammers. My experience was exactly the same as others writing above! They lured me in with a cheaper price on a Sony Handycam, then tried to oversell me on expensive accessories, lying about how the factory battery would only last minutes or that the cheap price was for the Japanese model! When I tried to return the battery, it has taken 2 weeks so far of calls and I still haven't received my money back! These people are criminals--DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM no matter how good the price sounds. The money saved is not worth the hassle.

Total scam artists. Wish I'd found this site before ordering instead of looking at the totally fraudulent everyprice.com. I had the same experience that others here describe: confirmation phone call with rude, pushy, lying sales guy trying to upsell me. He tells me, "Enjoy your camera," then promptly sends me the order cancellation email as the camera has of course just gone out of stock.  
 
I can't think of any possible reason to order from these people. Just buy from somewhere else.  

Rip off artists. Will not ship until you speak with someone on the phone. Then they want to sell a battery for 4x the real cost. Tell me Nikon's OEM battery is inferior and the camera will only work for 10 minutes. Then I was told the SD card has to be bought and all others will not work. When I said no I was then told it was on back order and will ship in 3-4 weeks. I said I will wait and then he tried to offer me other cameras. Quite obvious that they sell it for $90 less than the cheapest competitor that they will not turn a profit and never ship it. When I called back to cancel I was told I bought a foreign model and for just $30 more he can ship the USA model. Asked to cancel again and he hung up the phone. 2 minutes later I got a canceled order email.

I can't add anything more becuase what I read was EXACTLY what happened to me. They tried to sell me a battery and when I refused, they said "enjoy the camera" and hung up. One week later, they tell me my camera is out of stock, although it currently states it is available on line. I replied that if I do not get my camera in 5 business days then I will report them to BBB and ecommerce. Big scam...they're a bucket of used tampons.

I usually read lots of product reviews before I purchase anything. Now I have learned to read merchant reviews. I too made an online purchase and was told to call James to confirm the order. He tried to sell me an extremely overpriced battery and SD card. When I kept refusing, he finally said "enjoy your camera" and today I got an email cancelling the order. Stay away from this company.

For Techondigital. Bought camera. Got the confirmation call and sales pitch for battery pack (mine would leak and ruin camera), and sd card (mine was too old wouldn't work). He did actually say "Enjoy your new camera" and hung up. Next day cancellation email, he has my number, and I will do dilligent reseach of company before I give out information again.

Like so many other reviewers, I was led to Techondigital by everyprice.com, where of course it had lots of glowing reviews. I ordered a Canon Powershot SX110 for $199 plus shipping - about $30 less than the next competitor. I got the "please call James to confirm your order" message the next day. I didn't return the call right away, and on Wed morning they called my house 4 times in rapid succession(I always screen calls at home), and hung up when they got the answering machine. At that point I became suspicious (only complete jerks do that), and did what I should have done - real research.  
 
I sent an email to cancel the order - which they did acknowledge, but after what I've read in other's reviews, I will cancel my credit card as well.

Like most of the reviews I read after I made my purchase I called to confirm my order. When I talk to someone they tried to sell me a a memory card for $130. I new this was way out of line but he continued to insist this was a new type of high speed card that this type of camera had to have in order to work properly. Like an idiot I finally agreed even though I new better. After I received the order I did not even open the box and refused delivery because at this point I knew that I've been screwed.To cut my loses I sent it back and it still cost me a 20% restocking fee. I will never buy from this outfit again. I will also check the return policy in the future.

Same as the others. Bought the video camera and they called me to confirm and tried to get me to buy all these accessories. He said the original battery would only last for 15 mins and I needed another one. The battery was suppose to be about $30 but the one he was trying to sell me was $129. I agreed because who wants a battery that lasts 15mins? Then he tried to sell me a charger for the battery and I declined. Then he said he would give me a lot of accessories (charger, tripod, straps, etc) everything for $429. Took me a while but I finally agreed. Then he tried to sell me a warranty then I got fed up and told him to cancel the order :)

Seemed like a great price. But like everyone below said, they called me to sell me $$$ accesories. Even when i said i'd take the Japanese packaging version of the camera with the crappy battery and no memory card, they wouldnt let it go. At that point they pushed me to buy the American model for more then most stores had it listed.  
 
Waste of time, luckily J and R had it in stock and offered reasonable price.

Placed order on item they had in stock. when I called them they told me that my order has been cancelled because they do not have the item in stock. what a rubbish!I shall never order from this company again. They advertise it at a much lower price just to get people's credit card numbers and to waste customers time.
