Great customer service, one of the items (a MP4 player) came faulty, and it was replaced for free; getting answered in 24 hours to all the inquiries I had made.
Free shipping, enthusiastic wrapping so objects don't get damaged, cheap prices, I've had a great experience so far with this shop.
I've been buying from DealExtreme for some time now and I am impressed that their delivery times and customer service has improved by leaps and bounds. Many of the products are unique and I consider them a fun place to shop without worrying about replacment for defective items.

Dealextreme.com is a very very fast and well supplied
site. Since today I've bought a lot of things from this site that I use for my hobbies and DIY things receiveng them in time, safe and sound every time even if I'm in a nation with strict customs. Their customer care is excellent and answers every time fastly to all your tickets. Time ago it happened that
i received one of my item defective and they fastly sent me a replacement. I'm very satisfied with thei prices and their service. Buy with confidence!
Excellent prices, quality products, package received in excellent condition. Package was received 20 business days after the order was placed which was expected and within their listed shipping time line.

I'm very satisfished with DX. With the last order one my things was malfuctionion, and i sent notice in DA. they ansvered very very fast and provided free replacement. Not nothing bad to say. Free shipping is also good, would be nice if it's were a bit faster, but there is always the EMS, but it's kinda expensive.
bottomline: very very very good gadged shop, will order more things from there, nothing bad to say.
Very competitive pricing and good after sales support. DealExtreme was kind enough to ship me a replacement for one of my purchased products which went faulty over a month or two.
ordered 2 'camera video pens' (pens that have tiny video cameras and USB flash drives inside).
the first one broke in 5 minutes of use. the metal button (the ONLY button on the unit) fall INSIDE THE UNIT (!) and now its not even fixable (its a sealed unit, user can't even get inside to reseat the button).
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. they are slow and difficult to deal with. I now have a $40 'pen' that doesn't even turn on and won't even function as a usb flash drive.
I feel totally ripped off. I will not order from them again. is this typical china quality? if so, I won't order from china again, either! ;( ;(
UPDATE, aug-29-2008: I mailed back the 2 pens, as per the seller's instructions. the address is in FLA which was a lot easier to mail to than china (which is what I had first assumed). I will update again once seller has received the RMA and processed it. so far, the seller has been responsive and I give the seller a better review for their service. the product I bought from them is poor but as a seller, they are working with me on it.
final update: I mailed the package back to their FLA address and did receive a credit back to my paypal account. this ends this transaction.

I've used DealExtreme for lots of gift ideas and have always found it to be a great site, with speedy delivery, awesome prices and great service overall!
Customers own attentiveness is required though, as there is so much items with varying quality. But the review system and discussions within the site work very well!
Their FAQ's indicate:"How long does it take for back ordered items to get sent?
Items that are unavailable will be placed on back order, and the remainder of your order will be shipped." Not true; my order has an item backordered and, despite my repeated request, the remainder of the order has not been shipped.
I understand they offer free shipping and so are reluctant to break up shipments; I would be too - on the other hand, perhaps they should change the FAQ to reflect reality.

rrabbitsucks, apologies if any inconveniences caused. Usually we will fulfil partial shipment for the orders if there were any items will caused a long time delay, so if you have noticed such items included in your order, please contact us to request the partial shipment, cause we unable sure if you would like to have the partial shipment, usually our system will send you an email regarding this issue, I believe you also have received an email title as 'contact us for further detail'.
I had a problem with one of the items on this order (didn't work). I contacted dealextreme and after I explained the problem they agreed to replace the item for me. That is how things should be, but some other companies do not do it without an argument. Well done dealextreme. Great prices and customer service!
I placed an order for $67+ on July 22 and had hopes of placing a bigger order if things turned out OK. Then I noticed that an item description had changed on the invoice on site, not matching what I'd ordered/PayPal item list. I contacted customer service asking to get what I wanted but was told by evelyn that my order was already shipped, sorry. The invoice didn't state so and it seemed awfully fast, considering how long they said it would take to fill orders. But I thanked evelyn, said I appreciated fast order filling, and that I'd like a coupon for 10% off to order a flashlight to use the different from what I'd ordered batteries. Suddenly I quit getting responses. In a day or two, the invoice showed all was shipped. Soon, however, one item was changed to "waiting vendor supply" or something similar. It seemed they rushed to say items were shipped when it was not so. I asked why evelyn had not responded to my last customer service entry and a few days later got "we can give you $1 off or a gift." Looking at their gifts for giving a review, I decided they were near worthless.
Eventually the item that was changed to waiting vendor supply came in the mail unregistered but with a customs declaration of "Gift." I thanked them for the gift but noted I hadn't gotten a refund for it and that the main part of my order hadn't arrived. It still hasn't. I wrote them but got no response so started a PayPal action. They did not respond on the PayPal site but there was new activity on the site Invoice indicating stopping of action due to PayPal complaint, though I don't know what action it could be since I was never told and previous indication was that the order had been completed.
A few trinkets arrived on Aug. 9, but nothing in my order. I mentioned this to them but got no response.
It appears that the company does not want to work with me to fix things, thus this review.
They brag on their low prices. For generic and unknown brands, this may be true, but the items are made in China so what would you expect ordering from there? Known brands like Sanyo cost 2X or more what you can get the items for in the U.S., though, so I'm sure DealExtreme is making plenty of money.
Sorely disappointed after the glowing reviews here.
Update Aug. 15 (3 days after last text): DealExtreme still has my order paused, given no refund, but has upped their offer to $3 off a new order. I replied that the current one needs to be resolved first by filling completely and expediting delivery to me. Then I'll drop the PayPal dispute.
Update Aug. 26: After I sent pictures Tiffany admits mistate Aug. 21: "Our packer must mixed up your order with another one, we're really sorry for this mistake made by us." Raindy, who has never responded to me here, sends me an e-mail yesterday in response to the pics: "Thanks for your assistance, bob, so would you mind let me know which items are missing now? I will arrange for you." I wrote, Attn: Raindy, but Tiffany responds today: "the above items you mentioned has already been shipped [delivered Aug. 9 (no, the aforementioned trinkets only in the tracked pack)].... Please let's know if you have any received them " For the umpteenth time (prior in e-mails to DX) I have not. Apparently won't, the way this is going.

I start buying from Dealextreme since 2 1/2 months ago. No doubt almost all items are the cheapest I had seem, and shipment are pretty prompt and fast. Tracking is also available via the web. So far I am a pretty satisfied customer, yet to encounter any disappointment at the moment.
