I was a steady customer with Staples when their rewards program was in effect for the free shipping.  
Now that their program has changed it seems their service has changed also.

The company that Staples used was really friendly when we finally had contact and explained the delays better than Staples.  
I still had problems with my order but the warehouse people were really kind and worked to make it better for me. I really appreciated the effort.  
STAPLES: Shipping is important!  
I run a small home business and can't afford to pay next day for supplies. That doesn't mean I want to wait 10+ business days to receive my order either.  
Staples needs to keep all their customers in mind not just the big ticket customers.

I Had purchased the Creative Live - ULTRA webcam and right from the moment I logged in the first time to the moment I got the rebate cheque, everything was smooth. Online order was processed at the earliest and there were regular updates through emails. No hitches whatsoever. Rebate handling was very easy and I just loved the claiming of mail-in-rebate through an online system. That was indeed EASY!!!!!!

Purchased Peachtree accounting software. Great deal after rebate. Package arrived on-time just as they said it would...I have enjoyed doing business with Staples, both on-line and at their local store.

Ok, so I ordered from these guys because they were a dollar cheaper than the competitor. But let me tell you, the shipping is blazing fast. I ordered the item on Thursday evening and it was at my house that Friday at lunch. That was regular shipping too!

Ordered a bookcase (unconstructed), and it came with two left hand panels. I exchanged it for another. Second one came on Friday--this one had no holes drilled in one of the shelves, so also impossible to put together. Needless to say, I will be returning it, and will avoid purchasing furniture from Staples in the future. QC seems pretty questionable.

My first order from Staples arrived the next day and delivery was free. Excellent!

I purchased an instant camera on 12/15/2006. It arrived blazingly fast on roughly 12/18/2006.  
 
Sadly, it arrived DOA and due to some holiday travelling, I wasn't able to deal with it until after the new year. I called Polaroid who told me to call Staples and have them deal with it. I called Staples on 1/12/2007 and they offered to do an exchange. They came to my door in about a day or two with the new camera in hand and picked up the broken one.  
 
It was SO SMOOTH! An excellent experience with Staples. Thank you!

Ordered a file cabinet and hanging folders on Saturday 11/18. It shipped on Monday 11/20 and was delivered the next day. The price on the file cabinet was the lowest of comparable cabinets from the major office supply stores. Shipping was free, although I had to pay sales tax. I just wish a coupon code was available.

Lowest price on hp 8050 printer. Had to pay tax but package arrived in one day from their upstate warehouse. Great printer great prices.

I blame DEALNEWS.com and staples for advertising great deals AFTER REBATE and then not honoring them. After doing some searching around I have came to the conclusion that Staples hardly EVER honors rebates. So instead of boring you with details I am just going to give them worst review of the year. THAT WAS EASY!

I have had plenty of previous good experiences with Staples, ranging from free stuff and discounts with coupons to free next day shipping on nearly everything. My most recent experience merely reaffirmed this impression - I used the online chat to be refunded a shipping fee from Black Friday (since I'm a rewards member), and even though I was past the 2 weeks limit for editing orders, I was still given a credit for the shipping fee.  
 
Experiences like this will keep me shopping at Staples.

I'm a compulsive online shopper, but I only order from the big name stores with good reputations. I've ordered several times from Staples in the past and always liked their service and never had a bad experience until just recently. My last shipment arrived from the product manufacturer (not Staples) in a damaged condition caused by the shipping company. I promptly phoned Staples, as is their claim process noted on their web site, and received fast friendly service from their support personnel. They explained the return policy and later called again with a follow up confirmation of the refund process. The prepaid return postage shipping label was promptly mailed to me and a replacement product was also quickly delivered (this time undamaged). All this was efficiently and effectively taken care of as if I was their only customer. I loved how Staples improved the instant rebate process, but this customer service experience was so good that I felt the need to give them a positive review.

Fast shipping! Items were delivered to my doorstep the next day.

On 12/02/06 I was looking for a Casio Ex850. I found one with low price on the net. I call Staples and they agreed to match that price. While waiting for the camera, I found another website, which had even lower price on that camera; I called Staples, to my surprise, they again agreed to matched the lower price. All the Customer Service personnels were very nice, helpful and professional. The invoice expected delivery date was 12/12/06; I received the camera brand NIB 12/06//06. Staples, in my opinion, has bent backward to please their customer.

Went into Staples about 6 pm on Saturday to buy a USB hub that was on sale for $10 (reglular price $20). They were out of stock. They ordered it and shipped it free. Received it on Tuesday morning 11/28/06.
