I have been very happy with my experience with Puget Computers. They have a wonderful business model that offers a very personalized experience for buying a new computer. First, their website contains a wealth of information designed to assist the buyer in choosing the computer (and components) that best suits that individual's needs. Second, and unlike most computer companies today, they have real people available to assist with any questions or problems. In my case, there was a short delay in the delivery of my computer due to the need to order an additional part. I greatly appreciated the fact that my customer service person took the time to contact me and explain what was happening. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I have been very happy with the computer that I received. Having used it for a month now, it has worked flawlessly and is pretty much exactly what I wanted. Having previously gone through purchasing nightmares with Gateway and Dell, this has been a wonderfully refreshing experience.

This was my second purchase from Puget Custom Computers, and I am glad to have been a repeat customer. From the flexibility they offer in selecting and customizing the best components, to their reviews and input on those components, the process of customizing my computer was superb. From that point on, the customer service and attention to detail was outstanding. Quick assembly and secured shipping rounded out a great experience. For anyone looking to build a custom computer, I would highly recommend Puget Custom Computers due to their great customer service, great, clean assembly, outstanding component selection, and competitive prices. Thanks Puget Custom Computers - I'm loving my new fast, quiet desktop!

Puget Systems did an *excellent* job. I wanted a computer to use mostly for games, and a little for schoolwork. I'm not a big hardware and computer junkie, but was looking for something that was little higher quality than a dell. I drew up a computer custom-made using their webpage, noted some questions and my requirements, and submitted it. Within 24 hours their customer service rep had gotten back to me.
It ended up that I didn't want to actually get my computer until after semester ended. Instead of a high-pressure approach, Wilson (the customer service rep) kept me in the loop without being high-pressure, even kept me up-to-date with unadvertised specials. The thing I liked the best was how he actually recommended a processor that was cheaper than the one I selected, just because it fit my needs better.
The computer was built quickly (within a couple of days) and the entire time I could monitor their site as they posted the benchmarks and results they got from their thorough, precise tests. Quality was assured, as each test was not only posted but also included a short explanation as to what it was.
Needless to say, the computer is awesome. It was mailed by fedex (in Puget's own custom-made packing material). and came complete with a binder showing me all the tests they had done on it, as well as a short explanation of the parts. I know a little bit about computers, but not a lot, but I was still up-and-running in a few minutes.
I really like what these guys did (if the above didn't make it clear), and I definitely want to get my next computer from them, and would definitely tell anybody (not just a hardware junkie) get their computer from them.
One thing I didn't note, building the computer included several options for Operating system (from basic windows to the super-duper-pro editions to linux) and on-board software. It was really nice to not have to worry about paying for Microsoft word and Norton, two products I don't use and don't want but normally come bundled with a computer anyway. (You can still get them, I just prefer openoffice.org and AVG.)

First, let me give a little person background. I've been into computers for 30+ years now and while I'm not a tech expert I do know a motherboard from a video card. I've purchased PCs, Macs, Apples, etc., for all different types of uses and vendors. I've built two systems on my own. Now some might question why I decided to have a system built when I can do so myself - well it's a matter of ease and convenience. On to the review:
I searched a number of different 'boutique' and large (think Dell) vendors while searching for a new system. I game a lot and was looking for a high-end, quiet PC without breaking my wallet. I ended up choosing Puget Custom Computers for a number of reasons not the least of which was their rating on RESELLER RATINGS. The company is about an hour drive from my home and the response time to emails and knowledge level was incomparable.
The site is easy to navigate and no-nonsense (not a lot of flash, pretty pictures, etc). I appreciate that as opposed to other similar vendors that try and 'wow' you with a web site.
From the start my first contact was with Jeff Stubbers with numerous emails going back and forth with questions and answers. Jeff was very paitent with me and answered all of my questions quickly. I created a quote on 5/14/09 and said quote was submitted on 5/19/09 for production. The order was submitted late in the day (after 3pm).
Puget has this GREAT interface set-up in which you can follow your system every step of the way - I haven't seen anything like this on any other website! My particular case was out of stock so it was ordered the next day. Some preliminary testing was completed that day (Wednesday). Once the case arrived on Friday PCC wasted no time in assembly and some further testing. As Monday was a holiday the next phase of testing was continued on Tuesday and then completed on Wednesday about 3pm. The system was boxed and shipped that evening - arriving at my home about 12 noon on Thursday 5/28/09. Six business days from initial order (I did not count the initial order date since it was so late in the day) and I had my new system in hand.
Simple set-up and right out of the box there have been absolutely NO problems. No bloatware - only 3-4 icons on the desktop (including the one for this feedback). After using a Dell laptop for the last year I can really appreciate the ultra-clean set-up. Opening the case you find a extremely neat wiring job and superb airflow. They system is very quiet. I do hear the PSU, but it is by far the quietest system I've ever owned.
Puget Custom Computers is THE premier source for custom systems hands-down! I will not hestitate to recommend them to friends and family. I will certainly update this report should I ever need to contact support.

Puget Custom Computers provided the best experience I have ever had when buying, not only a computer, but anything. They were extremely helpful and communicated with me throughout the entire process. They let me know if the custom components I was choosing worked well together, and what I could get by with downgrading to lower the bottom line price. They kept me informed during the building of the machine and asked for my permission before making any changes. The PC's they sell are obviously a little pricier than the average consumer buys, but the money is put to good use. The quality, friendliness, and professionalism of the employees is unparalleled in any business I've dealt with. I will recommend them to everyone.

I began looking for a company to build me a new PC in April, after my Disability Decision became final. After looking at 3 different company's I settled on Puget Systems.
I started my process by going through their website and specing out a custom machine. I then put this request in for a quote and a tech review. I told Puget I was going to be using this machine for the next 6 years at least and needed something that I could rely on.
Surprisingly, within a day, a tech person got back to me and talked to me concerning my quote and all the different components I had chosen, why I had chosen them, and if they were the best for me. We actually re-designed my system based upon my needs and use and came up with a lower costing system!
The only problem I had with this order was the US Government dragging their feet on giving me my Disability Backpay. Once I did get that though, I ordered this machine and waited paitently. About a week into the process it was discovered that the GTX295 Cards wouldn't be my best choice, so we changed to the lower costing 285's. A few days later, I was emailed telling me that we were going back to the 295's because the 285's didn't have the necessary connections I needed; and they would keep the cost the same as if I kept the 285's!
I received my computer today, unpacked it, set it up, turned it on, and it works.
Let me be perfectly clear about this. I would, and I will, purchase from Puget Systems again, not only are they helpful, but they know what they are doing and are concerned with their customer needs. In my opinion, you'd be foolish going anywhere else then Puget Systems for your next Custom PC!

Two weeks ago I purchased a new Laptop from Puget Computer systems.
Again, using their easy to use Customization Web App, I was able to get the exact Laptop I wanted.
Puget Systems again was the best company I've ever worked with. The Laptop was estimated to be delivered on July 15th, but the Laptop arrived on July 8, a full week early. The sales people were easy to work with and quite knowledgable with everything.
I still say that Puget Systems is THE BEST place to get your next Desktop or Laptop!

By far the best company I have done business with in ordering a custom PC. I was so sick of buying a DELL or any PC from another Manufacture and having it preloaded with all the programs you don't need. The whole experience with Puget was positive and the system works perfectly. I love the extra special service you receive, such as a nice binder with all your system's info in one place, backup CD's, warranty info, etc. A very nice touch.

During the entire process of configuring my custom PC, I received excellent support. My questions, submitted via e-mail, were answered quickly, sometimes within minutes. I was impressed by the quality control process which allowed me to monitor the assembly and testing process. Each step was posted online with the name to person performing the test. I was also impressed by the benchmarking and testing performed. Puget Systems provided not only a PC superior to any "off the shelf" PC I could have bought, but also provided superior packaging and shipping. It was also a nice touch to include a bound set that included a "getting started" guide, quality control information, benchmarking test results, warranty information for each component as well as the original invoice.

I purchased a computer from Puget a few months ago. From the start of my dealing with the company I could tell it was different.
I actually called them because I googled a question about computers and their company name came up having written an article addressing my specific question. (I can't recall what it was). The person who answered the phone spent as long as it took to give me the answer I needed. He didn't even know me. There was never a mention of purchase or soliciting by him. He just gave me information. It was very impressive.
I have to tell you that every dealing I've had with this company has been impressive. Purchasing a computer nowadays is a very daunting experience, at least in my view. I naturally had lots of questions. I made many calls to them. Each time whoever answered took as much time as was necessary to clarify what I was unclear about.
I finally purchased my computer after a lot of deliberation. It arrived incredibly well packed (overkill maybe) and even included all the parts that the various components in my system came with but were not needed (screws, extra cables, etc.) Also included was a book with a summary of all the tests that were performed on my computer before it was shipped to me. I don't even know what all the tests are, but there were many. There was also included a log of the computer's assembly listing who did what and when. Absolutely incredible!
The customer service after the sale is also incredible. I've had need for some technical support. I always get someone right away and the person is willing to spend as long as it takes to help me resolve my issues.
I cannot say enough in praise of this company. It is rare to have a company with such an attitude towards quality and customer care.
I can't imagine ever buying future computers elsewhere. This is one hell of a great company. And to think I found it purely by accident.

After years of dealing with product from the name brand builders I wanted to try a custom PC with specs specifically for me but, more importantly, with quality parts, construction, and reliability. No bloatware was also a big plus. When I found Puget Systems web site I was a bit skeptical that a company would really walk the talk these guys were putting on. After all, they were up front about their charges, what the do, what their terms are...even how they think...and there were no gimmicks. So I checked reviews, stellar. I looked for anything hidden or too "spin doctory", found nothing. I was interested enough to do some test configurations on the site to see what was available. Within a day I was contacted with an offer from the company for help. I was only passingly interested in help but I asked for a review and was given ways to NOT SPEND MONEY based on what I needed. Honesty and service at the expense of profit...wow! But the proof is in the pudding. After several weeks of gut checking, research, deep thought, and an internal risk analysis I decided to take a shot. I could not be more pleased. The price was reasonable and competitive (not cheap, but reasonable which is what I expect for quality stuff). I received exactly what I ordered in very protective packaging. I opened the case just to check things over and I must admit it's the most impressive build I've ever seen...and I don't have a window for show. These guys take pride in their work and treat it like an art form. I elected not to purchase an OS since I already have one...so I did hit some snags on setup/drivers/etc. but that's nothing new. I've had the system for a bit over a week now and I'm more excited now that I was when I received it. This is one "gamble" that really paid off and I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend this company. The philosophy is sound, the pricing and business model is good, the quality is good, the service so far is good. Only time will tell the reliability of the equipment and the long term service quality but I felt it necessary to provide positive feedback for a high quality company in the a world where fleecing the customer is the norm.

When my XP box from ABS started to act up, I spent a couple of week researching computer builders who could provide a cutting-edge system with XP installed. I had some very positive responses from Puget Systems, and placed an order on April 7. The system arrived about ten days later, and I am completely satisfied. It's well-built, super quiet, fast, performs well for business and games, and I would definitely order from Puget again.

Decided to go with Puget Custom Computers after doing about 3 weeks of research, I compared iBuyPower, Alienware, Dell XPS and Puget. After three weeks it was very clear that Puget was the way to go. I ordered my PC (4000.00) and worked directly with one of their specialist with a bunch of questions prior to my purchuse (Wilson) he was absolutely fantastic and gave unbiased reviews of some products I was thinking of. I finally decided on the PC but about a week in I decided to switch out HDDs and they did it right away, no fuss, no problems.
I cant say enough about the fantastic service start to finish, amazing quality all around.

I can't say enough good things about this company. The entire experience has been incredible, from their excellent website to the individual attention and guidance throught the buying process to the finished product. I have bought PCs from several retailers, some high end, and can't think of a single reason why anyone should buy from another company over Puget.
