I was extremely satisfied with service from Puget Custom Computers. The service representative was extremely helpful (never trying to talk you to a higher priced component and usually recommending a lower priced component that would meet your needs just as well). You are able to track the status of your order on their website. The packing of the computer for shipment was incredibly well done. Every screw and cable and CD/DVD was included as well as vendor contact information for all of the components. I was able to configure a system exactly how I wanted it. The have a great selection of options and you know everything is going to work together since they verify and do a complete burn-in and testing before the computer leaves their building. I would highly recommend Puget Systems to anybody. I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Great company to deal with. I ordered my computer on September 11, 2009 and it arrived on September 19th. Very fast and reliable service. I have a high quality and dependable super Genesis I + computer now. I highly recommend this company and the people I have dealt with, Jeff and William.
Thank you very much,
Fred

The people at this company go out of their way to help and actually know what they are talking about. They will establish a personal relationship with the customer. That shows much respect!
Their product is very high quality and discerning. I will always check with Puget for my computer needs.

It was shipped quickly, it works great, and they provide simply the best feedback for "Should I get this or that?" questions ever. When you're buying a computer, get it from puget. (Note: get the peripherals somewhere else to save on shipping.)

I wanted a fast computer and searched many online custom companies before choosing puget. I could not ignore all the great reviews and their sales staff are the best. Always responded to my e-mails within hours or minutes , not days. This is what finally tipped me in their direction. Why should I wait for a sales person to get around to me? Answered all my questions and helped me set up my dream machine. It arrived in good time, I watched it s build progress daily online, and I set it up and it runs beautifully!! It is so quiet I can not hear it at all, have to check the lights to make sure it is on! All in all a most excellant experience and will definately come back when I need a new computer and am telling all my friends and family.

My first windows PC after a few Apple computers. I have to admit that it was mainly a gaming decision. Anyway I did the usual wandering on the internet looking for something to perform well but not get carried away on the $$$ Anyway I found the puget systems website which I was user friendly. I setup a configuration and set it in for some advice and tweaking and got a prompt response. I was able to call down to their location to check out the case I was interested in and then requested my computer. I was able to check the status of the build and was notified when the computer was ready. They gave me the computer and all the bits and pieces and documentation. Have been enjoying the computer )no problems so far) It was a good experience dealing with Puget systems which is why I am posting up a good review. The only negative I thought was that it was a little freaky to experience such nice customer support. :0

What can I even begin with, its hard to say. Service from start to finish is so above and beyond I couldn't give them a high enough rating. From the binder that comes with all the test's ratings to all the pieces you'd ever need to run or modify the computer, they leave nothing to chance and seem honestly passionate about their craft and the satisfaction of their customers.
I heard from them in the first few hours after requesting a preliminary evaluation of my system setup I did online. From their I was surprised and impressed by the sheer honesty of George's remarks. He went over a few things he thought landed in the 'excessive' category, and once assured it fit what i needed we put it into production.
Only question left in my head is service quality for necesary repairs (if and when they occur), but as of yet, I can't see me giving them a negative review if their standards continue on this kind of level.

Magnificent company from the initial rapid contact to the sound advice. They keep in touch and allow you to be fully part of the design and build of a new computer. Should you actually need tech support you call them and get someone on the phone immediately who actually knows what they are talking about. Astounding concept.
Thank you Puget you built me a fantastic machine.

I'll try to get to the point with all of this. I've been a PC gamer for a long time and always made sure I had great components for affordable prices. However, I was out of the computer loop from 2004 to 2009 because I had a Dell that worked just fine until it crashed one day and never turned on. Five years is a good run but I noticed it started having trouble with gaming around 2006/2007. So I set out to find out what great gaming PCs exist today.
Since so much has changed in five years, I had to do about a month's worth of research to figure out what I should get and who I should get it from. I originally considered Dell and Alienware but after checking things out like the website BBB.org, I realized that Dell is slipping and Alienware is just a name. Other places like IBUYPOWER.com and Cyberpc.com seemed great but I later read up on horror stories about them. I then checked out Apple and found out they make great computers (in various ways superior to PCs) and can run games with a dual boot operating system. However, unless you have a really fat wallet, they may not be right people to go.
I eventually came across the Puget Systems website, I never heard of them before but I figured browsing wouldn't hurt. Then William, a Puget rep, contacted me via their website IM messenger. He was very nice and asked if there is anything he could help me with. I told him I was looking for a gaming machine and had some ideas want I wanted and we both created a free quote. He even helped me in lowering the cost by mentioning certain things I would not need. During my research, I must have e-mailed him at least 40 questions about Puget and other computer stuff. He always answered back within 24 hours (so long as it was during the work week).
When I finally decided to order the computer, it took Puget only about a week to build it and run the many tests they conduct to ensure it's a quality item. Then it took another week to ship to my location. The computer came to me and ran perfectly. This is astonishing because Puget is in the state of Washingston and I live in New York. The machine came clear across the country via ground shipping and arrived in perfect condition. This is primarily due to how Puget packs their computers. They always double box, use styerfoam padding on all corners, and they even include additional stuff like extra parts and a binder containing all the tests they conducted along with software.
To rap things up, it is always the cheaper route to order parts and build the computer yourself. However, if you are someone that doesn't know how or doesn't have the time, Puget is the way to go. They offer more and better components then Dell or Alienware. Have a great selections of cool and quiet cases. They even make computers that are great for music/photo/video editing. These guys are professionals. They are slightly on the pricey side but not as expensive as Apple. I'd say it's a good compromise.
Another plus, their warranty is awesome. If anything happens to your product during shipping and it arrives broken. Within 30 days, Puget will cover the shipping costs both ways. There is always a risk in purchasing custom computers since they are fragile and can damage during even the most protected form of shipping. But Puget has a very low failure rate and they double their efforts if something misfortunate occurs. I certainly would consider buying from these guys again. Note, I've only had my computer for several weeks which is not a great deal of time to really see if the computer checks out, but so far so good. Definitely check these guys out. I checked out all the major boutique PC dealers out there before going with Puget. Here are the major factors that made me decide on Puget, and why I would highly recommend them to others:
1) Ratings. Far and away the best ratings and reviews.
2) Customer Service. Everything about their site centers around first class service. They clearly state the brands of the components that they use, and the flow of their custom configuration system seems to encourage potential buyers to engage with their Customer Service Reps before the actual purchase. After submitting my configuration and detailing my intentions for the PC, I was quickly contacted and was told that I would be better off with a ***cheaper*** video card. Now that's service.
After placing your order you can track every step of the build and testing of your PC through their site, including benchmarks. This intrigued me and I found that I kept checking it several times a day. It comforted me to know that Puget was taking the time to do everything right and not just rushing my order out the door.
3) Design. I'm not a gamer, and even if I were I wouldn't want a ridiculous-looking (imo) gamer case sitting in my office. While Puget certainly offers these to those who want them, their Genesis line is very sleek and classy--they look great in either the home or office.
4) Results. All of the above services resulted in a quality product that was delivered on time and set up quickly and easily.
I will definitely use Puget again in the future--maybe a laptop next year?

I ordered a fairly high-end gaming system(I7 overclocked, Intel SSD, 260GTX, 6gigs 1600 DDR3). Jeff was very helpful in making some suggestions to my configuration (while at the same time not trying to over-sell at all). He was also very accommodating when I told him I'd be adding a few parts myself.
Once the order was placed, the build time was very fast, and all steps in the very comprehensive process are viewable in real time.
Shipping was even faster, and actually came one day sooner than the estimate.
Product arrived in a package that reminded me of Fort Knox. VERY well packed. Once unpacked, the packing materials can be nested back in the shipping box in about 2 seconds (for easy storage). They also include every extra part that comes with all of the components, down to the very last bolt.
Computer booted up right away (always a relief no matter who builds it). I then shut it off, opened the side of the case, and wouldn't you know they had pre-wired it for my additional video card and my addtional hard drives! I popped those in and I was good to go. I would also like to mention here that the wiring and assembly of this system is the best I've ever seen by a wide margin. It's beautiful actually.
So, I booted back up, and the first thing I did was check for installed programs. Pretty much just the OS and AVG (which I had requested). No crapware! Excellent.
Computer is fast and quiet and flawless. I'm rockin' every game at triple digit frames, with all settings maxed.
I did have a few questions to ask Puget during the entire process, and Jeff was very speedy and very helpful in answering my questions.
A+

Ordered custom system on Sunday, shipped on Wednesday. Attention to detail and company philosophy are extraordinary.
I didn't care for their shipping option. I probably will not order from them again because of that. This review was modified by its author, Mskiles314, on

Received extremely helpful assistance from Teri in Customer Service. I had questions about when my order was going to ship as it was being custom made and Teri not only promptly contacted the warehouse for updates on my order, but also followed through with providing a tracking number when my order shipped. This level of customer service was very much appreciated!

I am pleased to say that I recommend this company without hesitation or reservation. I am rarely one for writing reviews, but this company deserves my praise. There are three things in particular that I think stand out and make this company so exceptional: customer service, the options and quality of parts and builds, and their shipping.
Puget's customer service is, quite simply, outstanding. Where more and more businesses are cutting their customer service centers and because less accessable to their clients, Puget has done the opposite. They are not just accessible, but are polite, helpful, and prompt in their replies. Like an annoyingly over-involved parent, I emailed my representative constantly, bugging him with a hundred different questions. He answered them all, and he answered them quickly. I truly appreciated this aspect of the company.
Puget's online custom-build system was also very impressive. Not only do they have descriptions for each part available in every category, but they also have their own personal reviews explaining why they do or do not like a particular product. And, if they didn't have quite what I was looking for, or I needed to adjust my overall price, they worked with me to find the best build for my needs and price point.
And lastly, though it seems like something that wouldn't be given much thought, there is the packaging material. I can honestly say I have never seen a better packaged box than the one that my new computer arrived in. This let me know that Puget cared even after they got my payment, that they wanted me to get my product safely. It arrived in beautiful condition and I am deliriously happy with my Puget computer. Thank you Puget!

My brother recommended Puget Systems to me because he had been very, very happy with the quality of his new computer and especially with Puget's customer service. I researched the company and found that they have a commitment to old-fashioned values in regard to taking personal care of their cusomters. I also found their prices fairly comparable for the quality of workmanship they produce. I ordered my laptop from them recently and had a positive experience. I had several questions along the way, and every one was answered quickly, thoroughly and in a friendly way. Although a parts shipment was delayed to them which delayed the completion of my laptop, they worked things out to get the computer to me as quickly as possible. I've been really happy with Puget's service and with the computer itself. I also appreciate their one year warranty for free parts and their lifetime warranty for free labor, if I should need it. I'd definitely order from them again, and will recommend them to others.
