This order was my second from Lensrentals. I love their selection and their prices are competitive. Everything went smoothly and the equipment worked perfectly, except for one thing.  
 
My one objection is the fact that none of their non-L lenses (for Canon) come with lens hoods. I understand that when purchased, the lenses themselves do not included hoods, but I believe the rental company should include hoods for all their rentals. I obviously don't own the lenses that I rent, so why would I already have the hoods lying around just waiting for a lens on which to mount it? Once I rented a $1000 lens for a wedding I did and I really felt that this lens should have included a lens hood for how much I was paying to use it for a week.  
 
Lensrentals, if you're listening, do the right thing and get lens hoods for ALL of your lenses, not just the L series (or brand-specific equivalents)!

I recently rented a lens (Nikon 85mm 1.8 AF) from LensRentals.com and my experience with them was very good.  
 
Placing the order online was quick and easy. The cost was reasonable and I rec'd the lens a day early at no extra charge! The lens was in excellent condition and performed beautifully. I will definitely use their service again.

Excellent selection of lenses - I was very pleased with the shipping speed and packaging as well as the condition and quality of the product shipped.

I am new to DSLR and am researching which lenses would suit me best. I came across LensRentals.com, and decided to give them a try. I ordered a Canon 70-200 f4 IS and 17-55 2.8 IS for a 10 day rental. Got an order confirmation and tracking number within minutes. I had some questions about shipping after the order, and got an email response in a few minutes. The gear arrived very well packaged. The 70-200 looked brand new. Not a mark on it or the included hood. The 17-55 had only very minor indication of wear. The whole process was as simple as it could possibly be. And it's great being able to try out a $1000 piece of glass for such a small fee.  
 
Was so happy with the service I ended up renting again, the 24-70 2.8 L for a week to take on a trip.  
 
I looked at a lot of different lens rental sites, and none seemed to have nearly as many in-stock lenses. And I liked that LensRentals.com regularly sells their used gear and buys new.  
 
Maybe you could save a buck or two at another site, but you are risking getting a worn out pile of junk.

Lensrentals.com is one of the easiest companies to deal with. This is one of those rare occasions when I am thrilled with the customer service and not moved to complain. I emailed them a question outside of business hours and it was answered in less than two hours! The lens I wanted wasn't due back until a Wednesday and I absolutely had to have it by Friday before I went out of town. This was no problem at all. The lens was well-packed, shipping was as low-hassle as could be, and I knew any poor photos I took were no fault of the glass. This was my first rental from them and I would be hesitant to use anywhere else due to the quality of the lens, the fast shipping, great customer service, and overall ease of the experience. Even though I didn't need the insurance, it was a relief knowing I had it in the event things happened. A very positive experience, great lens, great photos, and a very pleased customer.

One word - Amazing. I put the order in around noon on Tuesday, within 5 to 10 minutes I had a order confirmation and a shipping label # already given to me. The follow-up reminder to send the lens back was a nice reminder. The lens itself was awesomely packed and I had no troubles with it what so ever.
