I've never rented lenses before, and only recently found out that it was even a possibility. However, I'm SO glad that I did it, and that I rented through lensrentals.com. Last week was my spring break, and I went to Florida for the first time. I own a Canon Xsi, and all I have is a kit lens (18-55mm), and a 50mm prime lens. So, I wanted to get a lens that would give me a little more zoom, so that I'd be able to capture some good stuff. I rented the Canon 28-105mm 4/L zoom lens, and was completely satisfied with the product, and even more satisfied with the customer service.  
 
I returned my lens without the lens cap (because I left it where I did a photoshoot, and could not get it back until the day after my lens was due to be shipped back). Instead of being overly eager to charge me for a missing item, they emailed me, simply asking me to locate and return the lens cap (which I'm doing tonight).  
 
Even the lens choosing process was amazing. Since I've only been shooting with an SLR since November, I don't know much about lens choice, so they had a "professional" on hand to assist me in choosing a lens. I talked to a real person over the phone, told him where I was going, what I wanted to shoot, and that I wanted something that I could carry around with me and give me a decent amount of zoom. I can't say enough good things about this company. When you get amazing customer service, and amazing products, you want to let other people know that such a place exists. This is that place!

Lensrentals.com is the absolute best. I have rented from them numerous times and will continue to use them for all my camera lens rental needs. This service is a great way to test drive lenses before you invest $1000's. Furthermore the ability to use high priced lenses for commissioned work for just the time you need it is fantastic. These guys saved the day. I am a professional videographer and usually shoot video in SD and HD. I also dabble in photography and have an EOS-20d w/ standard kit, Canon 70-300 f5.8USM. My friend hired me to shoot my first wedding and said he couldn't find anyone else that would do it. I knew from experience that I couldnt afford to loose important shots with my lenses that didnt have Image stabilisation or a low aperature to catch more light. Buying or renting 1 or 2 high end lenses was the only choice.  
 
I researched the 2 lenses I thought would be best for the job. The wideangle 24-105mm f4 IS, and 70-200mm f2.8 IS L telephoto. I was able to ask and recieve informed, professional information about these lenses comparing a wide variety of lenses and situations. In the end the 2 lenses I had selected through research were the ones I choose, and the reasons were confirmed by Roger. Erin was very helpful letting me know exactly when my items would ship and arrive, and for asking that manuals for all 3 items be included, which they were. Thanks  
 
I also rented a 430Ex flash, which I figured was simpler than the 580Ex. I got all 3 rentals for a week, plus 2 day roundtrip prepaid delivery...ordered Monday arrived Wednesday, for under $200. I had plenty of time to practice and get use to the lenses for the Saturday wedding.  
 
I took me so long to decide on these lenses to use for 2 cameras, 5 hours of shooting that by the time I ordered some of the smaller lens rental companies didn't have those lenses in stock. It was a good thing they have plenty of copies of the most popular lenses like the 70-200 2.8 L IS that I rented.  
 
Packing was great, with cases, and 2 lens hoods, and manuals that I requested. I will definately use them again.  
 
Besides me shooting with the 20d and 70-200 telephoto for fantasic bokah, my girlfriend used a Eos Rebel with the wide angle and the shots were also beautiful. Together we are able to get some great shots, and covered all the bases. The families were very happy with all the photos of the wedding and the family and with us and the nice lenses. This was my first time renting from Lensrentals.com and I will definitely be back again. I can't praise them enough.  
 
The customer service was fantastic. They made sure I received the lens in time since I needed it for a trip. They even mailed it out early at no extra cost.  
 
The lens was in excellent condition. Shipping the lens back was super easy since I was able to use the same package/materials for the return shipment.  
 
All emails were answered quickly. And they worked with me to establish the best time and way to ship so I'd receive the lens in time.
