Ordering easy, turnaround time great. Camera body's sensor completely dirty. Tried calling customer service to let them know, how dirty it was and how much more post processing I was going to have to do, not a care, not I am sorry, we will try and make sure it doesn't happen again.
UPDATE: After I got off the phone with customer service. I decided to send an email to them as well. I was really thinking that I would not get a response. Within an hour I got a personal response from the owner of the company. Not only did he apologize which is the only thing I was looking for, but he gave me all the details of what happened, how it happened. The email was detailed, long, and brought my trust back to the company. All in all I just wanted to be heard. Maybe I jumped the gun too fast to write a review. As they say first impressions are everything, and the receptionist that I talked to was my first impression which was not a good one.
I was content with my email I got from the owner and the apology. About two hours after the email, I got another automatic email saying my money had been refunded for the rental. I have to give huge props to them for making a wrong right and going beyond my expectations.

I placed an order for a Nikon D80 rental for an event on April 12, 2008, the camera arrived on April 10, 2008. The camera arrived ok, the instructions on returning it was not exactly detailed enough, since just simplying calling Fedex for a pickup or dropping it off provided no support documentation that the camera was picked up and shipped back. I notified LensRentals of the early return, so theoretically the camera was shipping and was expected to be returned prior to the week of the rental. IN other words, I used the camera for one day, and then sent it back the following day, the camera arrived on Friday 4/19/08, the only notification was that the camera arrived back safely. The email sent to me originally discussed lens rentals not the specific item itself, a bad copy and paste. Lensrentals should automate some of the emails back to customers, etc. overall, somewhat satisified renting equipment, still waiting for final rental receipt which I have not received as of this morning. Would I rent again, yes, but my rental reservation would be well far in advance to give every one proper time to account for shipping and other items.
Excellent service, got the lens on the day promised. The lens was perfect, felt brand new, like it had never been used before.
My only complaint is that the home page shows that the lens would be shipped 2nd Day Air, my order showed it would be shipped 2nd Day Air, I was charged for 2nd Day Air, but the lens arrived UPS Ground. So I feel like I was overcharged for shipping.
Overall a good experience and I will most likely be renting from LensRentals.com again.

We do apologize for that error. When we changed carriers, there was a 7 day period during which we did not recognize the new automated system sent items by ground if they would arrive sooner. We have since corrected that.
This order was my second from Lensrentals. I love their selection and their prices are competitive. Everything went smoothly and the equipment worked perfectly, except for one thing.
My one objection is the fact that none of their non-L lenses (for Canon) come with lens hoods. I understand that when purchased, the lenses themselves do not included hoods, but I believe the rental company should include hoods for all their rentals. I obviously don't own the lenses that I rent, so why would I already have the hoods lying around just waiting for a lens on which to mount it? Once I rented a $1000 lens for a wedding I did and I really felt that this lens should have included a lens hood for how much I was paying to use it for a week.
Lensrentals, if you're listening, do the right thing and get lens hoods for ALL of your lenses, not just the L series (or brand-specific equivalents)!

We understand the desire - we'd like lenshoods too. But the reality is summed up in the first sentence "their prices are comepetitive". If we add lenshoods, which no other online rental house does, our prices would be 10% higher and we wouldn't be competitive anymore.
But we appreciate the comment. Perhaps we'll be able to add them as an option in the future.
Customer service is great, and the quality of the product & shipping is just as good.
While the prices are higher than at the local camera shop (for rentals), there is a greater selection. The cost of shipping is really what would keep me from re-ordering, unless absolutely necessary.
First time renting from anyone and it was a great experience! The Nikon 14-24 2.8 arrived 2 days early (which I was not charged for) and was in great shape. With the included box and UPS slip, shipping it back was no hassle either. The price was fantastic as well. Definitely will rent again from this store.
LensRentals has a great selection to choose from and I was able to find the perfect lens for my photo shoot. Being able to rent an expensive lens, instead of buying it, helps keep the overhead low - and the profit high. Customer service is excellent, and ordering was easy! Thanks for a great service, and I've already recommended them to several photographer friends.
Lens Rental is the best! I have rented from them several times. It is easy to order, lense always arrives on time, easy to use packing label for return. Great customer service! I recently had to cancel a trip, but lens had already been sent. I had my friend return the lens and I was refunded everything but the postage, which was very fair and nice of them. Highly reccommend this company.
LensRentals is a paragon of customer service. UPS totally screwed up the delivery. LensRentals's Kristin followed up (BOTH by e-mail and by phone) at 11 p.m. her time to fix the delivery and I got the lens the next day.
The lens was in mint condition and did exactly what it was supposed to. LensRentals leaves nothing out on their web site. They're pros! They take care of their customers!
A great company to deal with! All questions are quickly answered and everyone has been very friendly and helpful! The whole process was very easy with the lens shipped to my location and a return address label ready for me for when I returned the lens. Will definitely rent from them again! :)
Very very happy with this company. It is great to be able to rent these lenses to evaluate before making a purchase or just to get that special lens for a one off shoot. the site is easy to navigate, everyone is very responsive to questions by phone or e-mail. The lenses have all been in excellent condition. the last lens I rented was a great lens but after spending three weeks with it I know it's not what I wanted. so the the rental fee was a small price to pay considering i could have spent 1800.00 on a lens I would not have been happy with. Thanks Lensrentals.com.
Another effortless experience. Like new equipment, fair pricing. On-time shipping. Company stays in contact, right up to the receipt e-mail. Will rent again.
