Be very careful with these people! It took me 3 weeks to get my order. I stuck with it because of the 'fantastic' deal I was getting. For 3 weeks I was given much misinformation. I was told on at least 3 different ocassions that my order had shipped... it had not! Finally on my last day of patience with this company (exactly 3 weeks since I had placed my order) I sent an email to immediately cancel my order & within 1-2 hours I received a phone call from the company stating that the order was definetly in this time & that it was going to ship that day. I told them that if it was 'absolutely' in that I would not cancel the order... they assured me that it was really in & going to ship that day. I was very concerned about this because I was going to go to a 'huge' computer expo that morning to make my purchase. Well, a few days later I finally received my order, an HP Pavilion 763c. I have now had this computer for almost 2 weeks & have been very, very happy with the deal I got! P.S. This company has very poor customer service, esp. over the phone... they act like they could care less about my order situation, etc... each & every time I would call I felt like I was disturbing them! I would still order from them again, but only if I could get a 'great, great' deal again.

Ordered a Technics CD player online. Got back an order acknowledgement with the wrong credit card expiration date (not my fault; I checked). Sent three e-mails trying to get confirmation of the order being processed or problems, with no response. Called "customer service" and was told I'd be called back in 15 to 20 minutes. Waited over an hour, no response. Sent another e-mail saying respond in 24 hours or cancel the sale. Anyone care to guess what happened next? Maybe they're cheap, or maybe they're fly-by-night. It's a fine line. Anyway, no more for me, thanks.

I bought a camcorder and a laptop from them.. they pulled 1600 dollars from my credit card, then sent only the camcorder. then, they pulled an additional 360 dollars (this is a debit card too) which caused my mortgage to bounce. I never got my laptop and had to call my credit card company to get my money back. Don't EVER buy from these people!!!!

I bought a camcoder about a couple of weeks ago. They said it'd ship in 2-3 days. Now, it's been about a week and a half and it hasn't even been shipped! I've call them and been told that it'd be shipped the next day and I was told that about 3-4 times now. So I know they're lying. The customer reps are very unpleasant also. I don't see how they can conduct their business like this and still around. Beware of this site.

BUYER BEWARE... this reseller deliberately omits any information about who they are and where they are located on their website.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION... the parent company is Comtech Direct, Inc, located in Brooklyn, NY.
Be very leary of any business who attempts to hide their true identity and geographical location. Obviuosly, they don't want angry customers walking in on them in person. While my transactions with them have not been adverse, I am certainly aware that I am lucky in that regard.

RefurbDepot is actually Comtech Direct Inc. I ordered a fax machine which I needed as soon as possible. After 6 days I had not heard from them or received it. When I called they said someone would call me back. They didn't. When I called again, they claimed that they just ran out and were going to call me today. I don't think their response was credible and agree that they should not be allowed to transact business
on the web.

I purchased a Sony MiniDisc Player RefurbDepot.com. The shipping was fast. The Product arrived in perfect condition. In fact, they had the lowest price. I will do business with them again. Thanks RefurbDepot.com!

Rip-off, Fraud, Scam are only a few of the nicer words that I would use to describe this company! There "modus operandi" is to sell you returned goods at a discount and then when you try to send it back as defective tell you to send it to the manufacturer for service. If you ask for a refund then they will charge you a 20%-30% "restocking fee." I have been trying to resolve the charges that they put on my credit card for over 2 months now. I wish I would have found this site before I ordered from them. YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED - BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!

This is a terrible company. I ordered an HP Pavilion notebook from them, and received a defective notebook. First customer service agreed to replace the notebook, then turned around and refused - after I had already shipped it back. It seems their practice is to resell defective products and demand that customers have the original company's tech support fix them. If you want to buy broken equipment and try to fix it yourself, then by all means make your purchases at Refurb Depot. Dealing with customer service has been a nightmare; my credit card company is currently solving the dispute for me.

I purchased a Nikon Coolpix and a spare Compact Flash memory card. The camera arrived with a Smart Media memory card for which they will not issue a RMA. On the phone they say 'they are working on it'. If they stick me with a $50 memory card I can't use, I won't buy from them again. Update 11/02, the credit card company got me the refund on the part I didn't order, but I probably won't take a chance with this reseller again. This review was modified by its author, CW01, on

HERE IS A SURPISE!!! I ordered an Olympus C-2100 for $415 plus a Mack 5 year warranty from Refurb Depot by phone at around 10AM on August 5th. I opened the conversation by telling "Joe" that I just wanted the camera and warranty and that I needed 2nd day air. He called out to someone to verify the 2nd day air at just $17 and then placed the order. NO ATTEMPT TO SELL ME ANYTHING ELSE!!!. I received a confirmation email when I got home that evening and another email with the UPS tracking number the next morning.
The camera arrived at my door at 9AM on August 7th, exactly 48 hours later. It is a perfect C-2100 with not scratch on it, all software and equipment in the factory refurbished Olympus box with a 90 day Olympus warranty. Refurb Depot sent a copy of the invoice along with the Mack Warranty paperwork. The invoice even had a pink sticker on it reminding me that the Mack warranty card had to be sent to Mack within 30 days.
My wife has spent time checking the camera out and it works perfectly.
The only minor problem we had with Refurb Depot was the poor packing of the shipment. We felt they could have protected the camera better.
I guess this proves that you pays your money and takes your chances.
We are very happy.

Ordered a digital camera from them and they said they shipped on the 25th when in reality they were lying. It didn't ship til a week after that.
Found ResellerRatings a little too late or I wouldn't have ordered from them at all. I will refuse the package when it gets here and request a refund.
Stay away from this company.

I don't have an invoice number, I ordered a Fax combination, it didn't work, trying to send it back. Requested a RMA# several times. Wish I knew of this site before I purchased ANYTHING from this company. Never will again. reported this company to the IFCC, which the FBI and several law inforcement agencies "patrol" the websites. Hoping I will get some answers. There is much more to this story. But, I am so mad that every time I think about it my blood pressure goes through the roof. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I should have know better.
