DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SHADY PEOPLE!
My iPod arrived with lots of superficial damage--chipped case and "hold" button and a generally battered look. Soon, I found that the unit would randomly pause/play, even with the "hold" button on.
Refurb Depot wanted me to pay S&H to return it for servicing. I told them that was absurd for an item received in defective condition.
They refused to budge, so I said I'd be returning it, for which they wanted me to pay S&H plus a 15% restocking fee. This is unacceptable for a defective item.
Before they would issue me the required RMA, they wanted me to sign a form accepting their conditions. I've never seen this from another site, and it indicates that Refurb Depot recognizes their shady practices.
MasterCard told me not to sign the form, and this charge is currently in dispute.
The few dollars you think you're saving at Refurb Depot aren't worth the hassle, to say nothing of the shoddy look of their product.

Well, I was skeptical after I placed the order and then saw many negative reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Placed the order for a refurbished HP laptop on a Sunday evening and received the laptop on Friday afternoon. My credit card was not charged until it shipped. The laptop appears to be terrific! I am very happy at this point that I made a good decision and got what I asked for!!

My daughter selected a Samsung T629 phone and she used it less than one day and the screen went bad. I was told by Michelle who was very courteous that I had to deal with Samsung for waranty. Samsung said the warrany expired, and Refurb Depot said they updated the warranty and three days later Samsung still wont honor the warranty. I have had no satasfaction and I called today June 9th and they are closed till Wednessday June 11th.
I am glad I didnt purchase a high dollar item like a big screen tv and get burned

I ordered a FUJIFILM from that website only because they had 3 (three) more in stock and they were cheap. They pulled the money from my credit card, two days later posted a credit. I had no idea what was going on. On April 30th they sent me an email that the package was sent by ups. I checke the ups site to find the package cancelled. I was mad as they withdrew money from my account and wrote them an email asking for an explanation. Thy just answered: we don't have it in stock. They only answered short and in disgrace after I got upset about it. their customer service is bad bad bad. I'll never shop there again. EVER

Contacted to insure they would accept a business check for the purchase. They agreed and activated the order. Sent the check and waited. A few weeks later the check was returned with a note indicating they didn't accept personal checks. Contacted the company and again indicated it was not a personal check and so sent it back. Again waited. No contact, no information. Finally contacted company again and this time was told items on the order were backordered. Items were not specified. Contacted for more information, finally was told the computer was backordered and unknown when available. Company suggested a more expensive item but would not do any work until extra payment arrived. Classic bait and switch. New York needs to clean up its businesses. We will not do business with a NY company again.

I purchased an x-Box 360 for my grandchildren in December 2007 from Refurb Depot. They sent the unit in a timely fashion except that in one month it went out. I called them and I had to send it to them at my expense and it took a month to get one back. It was broken when I got it. They refused to fix it. I purchased an extended warrenty at the time of purchase and they didn't stand by that either. Now I am dealing with Microsoft. Folks, educate yourself and never buy anything from this company. I am out 325.00 and still no working X-Box! They tell you that Microsoft will fix the unit up to one year. This is a lie. Microsoft will only repair free a unit form the original owner, not a second owner. This company will not stand behind what they sell so buyer beware!!!

Why on earth did I purchase from these guys without checking resellerratings.com? In regards to having separate shipping & billing addresses. They require you to fax authorization including a photocopy of the front and back of your credit card. Ummm NO!!! I called my credit card company and they said, Ummm NO!!! So I canceled the order but here's the funny part, I checked my credit card balance online and guess what, there is a charge on my card from refurbdepot.com. You've got to be kidding me. Stay away from these guys, there are plenty of other places to shop online without this hassle.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They are also know as Comtech Direct or Comtek. They have an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau. They pulled a bait and switch on me. I ordered an Apple Ipod Nano 8GB (2nd Generation) being advertised for $186.50. Instead they sent me a refurbished 3rd generation that sells for a lot less. Now they want to charge me a 15% restocking fee on a system that I didn't order. Please complain to the Better Business Bureau, the New York Attorney Generals Office and the FBI fraud department. The principal of this business is Jacob Rosenberg, President; 1449 37th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11218; 800-660-4443. Ongoing!!!

I have never written a bad review on any merchant because I know sometimes bad things happen. But these people tops my worst list. After ordering a Canon MF4150 printer is when the nightmare started, and when I found out what kind of company I was dealing with. After numerous emails and telephone calls to customer service for a week trying to find out the status of my order, I was told that I could not cancel the order and that when an update was available they would email me. How rude. The following week, out of the blue, the printer arrives. I open the Canon MF4150 refurb printer only to find out that it was missing an all important part, the toner cartridge. Who sells a printer that will not work when it arrives. At first I thought it was a mistake. I emailed them after I was unable to get through on the telephone and was informed that because it did not say I was going to get a cartridge, then I wasn't going to get one. Who sells a printer without a cartridge! These people do. What is it going to be next; if we didn't say it would work when it arrives in the print, then you shouln't expect it to work. By the time I purchase a new cartridge for this refurb, I could have bought a brand new Canon MF4150 from Amazon.com for the same price with all the parts, instead of this refurb junk. I have never dealt with such rude and unprofessional people in my life. Do yourself a favor, and a few headaches, stay far, far away from these people as you can. You definitely can do better ANYWHERE else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buyer beware! I placed an order on Nov. 30. On Dec. 4, my credit card was charged and I received a "shipping info received" tracking no. On Dec. 7, after the shipping status had not changed, I emailed customer service. On Dec. 9, I received a reply saying the item was not in stock and my credit card would be refunded. No apology, no explanation on how the order can be completed, shipping notice received, and THEN over a week later being told the item is not in stock. I cannot help but think that if I had not inquired, I never would have received any sort of communication at all. As this was a Christmas present, time was of the essence and now I have to begin my search anew. Now I can only hope that my credit card really does get refunded.

Refurb Depot is an outstanding company. I recommend them highly. I purchased a Canon digital camera and Sahrp 46" Aquos LCD HDTV, both at great prices. Excellent customer service, as I prefer to shop on-line then order over the phone. Delivery was ahead of schedule on both.

purchased a xbox elite from them and never recieved the item. On the site they say the item was shipped after 2 weeks of nothing. I emailed/called them and then they told me the item was on back order!!! Why would you put shipped when you have not have the item in stock. Thats BS! They sell items they dont even have!!! I threaten to reoprt them to the IFCC and BBB if i didnt recieve my full refund which they did refund. They was lucky. Hell i might even report them for bad bussiness. BEWARE of a possible scammer!!! i will not deal with these guys again!!!NEVER!

Another broken piece of equipment...
The unit was NOT ‘factory sealed’, had a manual that was photo-copied, and used parts. I do not understand how the product I received was so far removed from accurate advertising. Not to mention this was a birthday present for my nephew. As is true with all the other postings I am also being defrauded under the guise of a return policy which lets you buy broken equipment and pay to restock it for someone else to purchase. I have been sending emails back and forth with them for three weeks with no results. They stand behind the return policy if not to totally perpetrate false advertising of 'factory reconditioned' equipment. Store is located in Brooklyn which as as always a prime location of false store-fronts and fake permanent address locations. Save yourself a LOT of grief and stay far away from these criminals.
