Based on the reviews here, I was deathly afraid of this company but I had already pulled the trigger and placed my order the day before. I ordered a Canon SX10 for $299.00 (plus $9.95 shipping but I had a $10.00 off coupon for a total of $299.90)which was about $70.00 cheaper than any place else (not including the obvious bait and switch outfits)
I must say I have been very pleasantly surprised with my purchase. Shipping was same day and I received the tracking number that night. The package arrived on-time (5 working days) in a sealed canon box that stated "refurbished" on the side. The camera is flawless and operates as expected (so far) and the box contained all promised items. It seems (after reading the reviews) that people who have had bad experiences are mainly people who have encountered problems with the items purchased and needed to return them or have them serviced so that may be where this company breaks down. I will update this review if I encounter any problems.

Placed the order on Friday 4/10 only to find out that the ENTIRE operation was shut down until 4/17. Then I found the same item on a different site NEW not a refurb, for the same price.

I ordered a TomTom 910 from refurbdepot.com after being satisfied with reviews that I had read. The website said that they had the item in stock and would be shipped out in 1-2 days. One week later when the order was still not shipped emailed and they said that it was out of stock and they were expecting a new shipment in the next day or two. Five more days went by and they still had not shipped the order and I called and spoke to a lady who offered no help except they were expecting a shipment in the next day or two. By this time I needed the GPS unit in 4 days because I was leaving for my honeymoon and that was the reason for the purchase. I asked if it came the next day if they could upgrade my shipping to next day because I had been originally told I would have it the week prior with normal shipping and they offered no assistance. I ended up ordering another unit from Tigerdirect.com and within hours it was shipped and will be ariving within two days with standard shipping. Refurbdepot.com is a Sham and offer terrible customer service.

BUYER BEWARE of REFURB DEPOT. I ordered a laser printer after noting that their web page for this printer states "all accessories included", and after calling to ask if the toner cartridge was included. I was told it was. But when the printer arrived it included a note advising the toner was not included and referring me to the manufacturer. Called customer service and received an "apology". With that and a couple of dollars I can now go out and buy a cup of coffee to drink while I order and wait for toner. After reading other reviews on this company, I see I'm not the first person to be sucked in. Oh well! Just another one of life's little lessons.

After reading a lot of your reviews- I was scared to death that the TomTom 930 I thought I got a great deal on would be in less than ideal shape when it got here. Boy was I surprised. I ordered the unit on Friday the 20th, got a shipping notification yesterday, and it was delivered at 1:15pm EST today by UPS. I live in northern MD, so it didn't have to travel far from Brooklyn.
I opened the box- and it was perfect to my surprise and joy. Original TomTom box, original inside packaging, all new accessories in their packaging, the screen of the unit had its original protective film, and it had a card saying it was Road Tested and TomTom approved.
I either got really lucky- or maybe this company is trying to clean up their act. We will see if my unit is working in 2 months, but for now- I am one satisfied customer!

Buyer Beware!!!! My experience with this company was horrific! I ordered an item, they said it was in stock. As it turns out it was, but there were people ahead of me waiting for it also, so it had to be restocked prior to mine being sent out. In the interum I found a brand new one locally for about $40 more which I bought. I went home cancelled my order and began to enjoy my new item. I called the bank to make sure the company would not be paid out of my acct and the bank assured me that cancelling my card would do the trick,WRONG! The item was shipped after my email was "accidently deleted" and could not be found until after the shipping. I was told that would be no problem, just refuse the package and my account would be refunded. Well it's a week later several phone calls, to both the bank and Refurb and finally today I was able to contact customer service. Michelle told me the credit department had started the process and as soon as my bank acknowledged that they got the funds. The bank now tells me that it takes 3-4 days for Refurb to notify the bank of the returned funds. If you buy from them ask every question you can think of, even the logical ones "like are there other people waiting for this same item also?" Note the company has not offered to be accountable for bounced check fees and ignored my request about that too. Buyer beware!!!

I was looking for a no-contract verizon-compatible cell phone for my teenaged son. I came across the refurbdepot website, found an LG phone for a very good price ($39.95). I then researched resellerratings and a few other sites and saw the mixed (to out it charitably) reviews. I decided to give it a try, calling in the order to be sure the item was actually in stock. I was please to get a live salesperson in just a couple of minutes and made the order. The phone shipped very promptly, as promised, in time for Christmas. It worked great for a month, but then found that the charger port had a bent pin, so sometimes you had to wiggle the charger cord before it would charge properly. Not a big problem, but I called refurbdepot, again got an agent on the line quickly, and they offered either a full refund, exchange for a similar phone, or a credit. They didn't have another similar phone, so I returned it for a refund, which they processed w/ no hassle in a couple of days, crediting my credit card. So, overall, my experience with this outfit is positive. I think anytime you by a refurbished product, there are risks (as there are with new), but these folks stood by their warranty and were very good with their customer service.

Well I would like to say that my experience with Refurbdepot.com was flawless. It was probably one of the best experiences that I have had online to date. I know some people will say that this rating is fake and I am not a real customer. I AM A REAL CUSTOMER THAT HAD CONCERNS ABOUT ONLINE FRAUD JUST LIKE YOU. The fact of the matter is that I read some of the rating on here and was a little apprehensive toward purchasing from this company. This put me on the defensive and I prepared myself for the worst. I called the company to verify that the product was in stock and what type of delivery time to expect. This company is located in Brooklyn, N.Y. which also made me suspicious. The price on the merchandise was very good. 1300 dollars for a 52 inch LCD Samsung..WOW!! I asked questions about how the item would be packed and what to do if I needed to return the item. All my questions were answered promptly. So I took a chance and ordered the item over the phone. The order was processed the same day and sent out that evening. The LCD arrived Friday intact and on time from Fed Ex!!! It was packed very well with all shipping papers intact. When I opened the box, I was completely blown away. This LCD looked brand new as if it was taken directly from the factory.. WOW!! This TV in Best Buy would cost around 3000 dollars brand new! I bought this LCD for the SUPER BOWL and received endless compliments from everyone. Even my wife was speechless!!! Refurbdepot kept their word and delivered on time. Please do your research people and ask questions before you purchase. Call your credit card company and ask all your "what if" questions. I will continue to buy from RefurbDepot and will update this site as necessary.

This company is a total SHAM!!! They send out items that don't work and they HAVE to know they do because when you call the customer service they have their "standard" answer to call the manufacturer. We purchased an Xbox, opened it..3 red rings of death and they won't exchange it. PLUS..they send you a form saying you agree to their ridiculous return policy before they'll even give you a RMA code to return it. No other company could send out broken items and then say too bad, we are keeping your money. We are disputing it with our credit card but what a complete hassle and a joke. Oh sure we can return it and they keep 15% and $19.95 shipping and then they'll ship it out to the next customer and that's IF they accept the return. Plus when we looked at the serial # & info..it's a 3 year old system!!! Give me a break! It's a total scam. We are reporting them to the BBB and posting everywhere we can to let others know how they operate. Be smart, stay away.

The Refurb Depot is the number one source of electroics for me and my peers. They have very competitive pricing, reliable shipping, and a solid reputation for service. I've made several purchases with them and the most recent one a Samsug 52" LCD TV which came in brand new condition and i saved about $600 off BestBuy's price

Abysmal. Ordered on Thursday, order on their automated 'order status page' showed as 'processing.' Emailed on Monday, then Wednesday, with no reply. Finally called on Thursday, a week after order was placed, waited on hold for 35 minutes, to be told "Oh, that's out of stock. We emailed you yesterday to offer another model." When I told them they had not emailed, she said "Well." I spoke to another person, supposedly a 'supervisor,' when I called to complain and was told "We did everything we are required to do. If you don't like it, complain to the governor," and hung up. They have, as might be guessed, loads of complaints -- all listed as 'unresolved.' Run from these people.

DO NOT PURCHASE AN XBOX360 FROM THIS COMPANY!! We purchased an Xbox360 March 10, 2008 and as soon as we plugged it in received the ring of death. I contacted Microsoft and they stated the Xbox was out of warranty. I contacted CPS the supposedly "warranty" company and they said to contact Refurbdepot.com as the unit was less than 90 days old. I contacted Refurbdepot.com and they sent a different unit. The second unit worked about 1 month and then we received the ring of death. I contacted Microsoft and sent the second unit to them. They sent it back stating it had been "damaged" and therefore the warranty was void, which it had only sat on a shelf and could not have been damaged by us. I contacted CPS the worthless warranty company and explained to the technician what Xbox had stated about the unit. He instructed me to send an email to them and they would send me instructions back on how to send the Xbox360 to them. I sent the email and received an email back later that afternoon stating the Xbox was not covered through CPS stating it was an Xbox problem. I again contacted Refurbdepotcom and they stated that the date of purchase goes back to the initial purchase date of March 10, 2008 even though this was a totally different unit and that their warranty was no longer valid even though this was a second unit received a month later. This is a scam! Stay away from this company and their supposedly warranty company! We have an Xbox with no warranty from either Microsoft, CPS nor Refurbdepot.com and have never received an Xbox that worked for more than 1 month. We're out $300.00! If you have to have an Xbox purchase a brand new one so that you have a warranty from Microsoft. Stay away from this web site! I contacted the New York better business bureau but of course have not received a response. I'll continue to work other avenues to get this company and their warranty company from scamming other people.

I have purchased two LCD TV's and an air-conditioner from Refurbdepot.com and all of them have been perfect. The 42" LG that I just received was a little scratched up as you would expect from a refurbished product, but in perfect working order, no scratches or hazing on the screen, no dead pixels and I do not see any difference in the quality of the picture from a brand new one.
It did take a long time to get it but a quick e-mail to support revealed that they had been backordered, something they could have notified me about, but otherwise I can find no fault with service or product.
