I’ve sworn off PC Nation for good! Their prices are good, but if the order is wrong, regardless of who is responsible, the buyer hangs!  
 
Over three months we have did a little over $10,000 business with them. A couple of the products had to be returned because they were defective. In two cases, though, we have a real beef with them.  
 
1. We ordered a 3COM switch. We were advised by 3COM which model would fit best and we ordered it from PC Nation. When we attempted to install it, we learned it would not work and asked for an RMA. PC Nation took it back, but they demanded a 15% restocking fee, about $165. 3COM was at fault, but was of no help. Things like this happen. PC Nation made their first bad decision with us.  
 
2. We ordered a copy of Trend Officescan SBS (25 users). The product arrived, but would not install since the Windows 2000 SBS server was not going to be configured with Exchange, which Trend Officescan SBS requires. More to the point, the Trend technician and sales staff both told me the product was not supposed to be sold since it had been discontinued. Once again, PC Nation demanded a 15% restocking fee and no credit for shipping, about $30. It also took 29 days to get them to send an RMA and it was several more weeks before we received a credit.  
 
I thought theirs was a competitive business. It may not be a big deal to PC Nation, but they lost a $40,000+ per year customer for $195.

Excellent service. These guys went way beyond the call of duty to take care of my order. Our company was in dire need of specific projectors to be integrated in to a display system which needs to be ready for a major presentation tomorrow. I called them late in the afternoon and asked if they thought they could get the packages out in time for the FedEx priority over-night shipment. It was going to be very close, but they assured me they could do it.  
My order was a pain in the ass because I was paying with a company credit card and wanted them to ship to an address other than the billing address. To make matters worse, I was snowed-in at home and did not have access to a fax machine. Their sales staff spent over an hour and a half working with me on the phone just to walk me through the process for approval, including dialing up my bank on a 3 way call and making sure that each step was handled smoothly. There was simply no room for error, because it was so late in the day.  
In the end, they did a late-drop at FedEX so that the packages could still make the deadline. FedEx tracking shows them on schedule for AM delivery, and I can't tell you what a relief that is. I would recommend PC Nation to anyone who is worried about the online company they are doing business with. I have never used them in the past, but I will continue to do so in the future. They even followed up with me voice to verify that the shipment was sent that night, and again in the morning with the tracking info. Total professionals.

I ordered a PNY Quadro4 550 XGL from them. The website showed "usually ships same day", but it actually took two days for them to get it in the mail. A tracking number was provided when it did ship. The box was packaged well and arrived when UPS said it would. Product works fine. The website was updated later to show "usually ships in 2-5 days".

Order a hard drive for a laptop and they said it would ship that day and i paied for the 3 day shipping so I figured I would have it by wed.of the next week...Now they tell me that it didnt ship on the same day and it shipped on monday now I will have to wait another couple of days for this h/d....They misslead you by telling you that it will ship the same day.....Will never order from them again.....

I put my order trough phone call to buy a toshiba notebook 5205-s703. But something  
wrong when they try to access my visa account, they put wrong expired date on it and it was declined.  
At next day they told me I can not get the laptop  
because they fail to get my money from my bank. and even I correct the error for them that product was out of stock after my call and if wana take it have to wait 2 weeks and pay more 100 USD. I was very angry and thinking of give up this deal.  
I called somebody else in that store and complain it.  
10 minutes later, their sales manger call me back  
and and apologize for it. He promise let me get that product from other warehouse 2 days later in same price. Finally I got that laptop.  
It is brand new. and works very well. I feel they  
do care about the customer's feeling even sometimes got some mistakes. But for it's lowest price it is worthy to order from them again.

Pretty good about letting you know when stuff is out of stock and letting you cancel the order. Shipments always arrive in good condition. We've ordered about five items from them in the last month.

Purchased a Samsung 151s monitor on 1/6/03 early AM. The website said it was in stock and usually ships same day. By 1/7/03 the monitor had not yet shipped. The website said the price was now $20 cheaper than what I paid. I promptly called them and they adjusted the price and said it would ship out first thing next morning. I called back later the next night and the monitor still had not shipped. Customer service was alittle snippy with me and said the warehouse was trying to ship and it would definately be shipped Thursday from NJ(I live in NY). On Thursday night I called back to finally cancel my order except everytime I would get a sales person on the line they could not hear me and would hang up. This happened 4 times on two different phones and it aggravated the hell out of me. Their sales lines close at 7pm cst. I finally called back on Friday 1/10 to cancel my order. A whole week wasted with them. I ordered the monitor from TechonWeb.com later Friday morning and received it on Monday.

Highly impressed with PCNation. Ordered a Brother HL-1450 printer on a Thursday,and the item arrived on Tuesday.Lowest price on the web.The online order tracking process leaves much to be desired.Had to call Customer Service to get order status.The friendly and helpful Customer service more than compensates the lacklusture performance by the IT department.Would buy again.

STAY AWAY FROM PC NATION. This was the worst experience I have ever had. My printer (Canon N1000) was dead out of the box. They would not return or exchange it without a 15% fee and only after 2 weeks of haggling. Canon even tried to intervene but could get nowhere. BUYER BEWARE!!

Ordered the Canon Z45MC camcorder, along with other accessories, with PCNATION SWIFT 3DAY shipment option. I got 2 of 3 items yesterday, 1 day ahead of schedule. The other item is arring next Monday, as scheduled. I am very happy and pleased with its person and online service.

Purchased a Toshiba E310 Pocket PC. Contact button on face panel recessed and loose. MS Outlook 2002 that came WITH the PDA was opened and previously installed, so the product Key could not be registered. WHen I called PCNation, they did absolutely NOTHING for me. They did not even provide me with a phone number to Toshiba, as they brushed off the problem as "not being their own". The rep also kept saying, "I don't know...I don't know...I don't know..." to all my questions about what I should do and how I could go about handling it. He made no apologies whatsoever regarding my faulty product.

I recently bought some photo equipment from PCNation. Their prices were less than most other retailers. The salesman was extraordinarily knowledgeable and pleasant. Because I was about to leave on a trip, he went beyond the call of duty to insure that I would receive my order in a timely manner. The order arrived exactly when he said it would. I would buy from PCNation anytime.

I have been purchasing most our IT hardware requirements from PCNation for over two years. They have pretty decent prices but we don't buy from them soley based on the pricing. We buy from them because of the customer service. Some of our purchases don't end up working out for our needs and I have never had a problem with their returns dept. They are always prompt and courteous. One minor complaint is their site does not always have a lot of product info posted.
