Extremely courteous contact(yes,a real live person!) within 2 rings.Verified that the merchandise was in stock immediately and assured me it would ship out monday(order placed on saturday)
Also may I add that they pricematched B&H Photo's online price for the receiver I ordered(Kenwood VR-7080) without any hassle at all!
Upon requesting 2 day UPS delivery,the salesperson recommended to just go with UPS ground(free)and save the $40 since they are located in beautiful Montana and shipping ground to Washington state would not take much longer than 2 day UPS.
This is a preliminary evaluation and to be continued(edited) upon receipt of merchandise,but sofar I give these guys a 2 THUMBS UP rating.

Thursday 10 July:Received merchandise.Packaged well within an outer shipping box with padding,although inner factory box was torn and crushed in some places,the merchandise arrives intact and functional and was brand new.
7 days from order 'til delivery and that's including 2 weekend days and FREE UPS ground shipping.

Vanns is a very respectable company to do business with. I bought a new JVC XVSA600BK DVD player for a awesome price due to free shipping. It arrived very well packaged and undamaged. All transactions went smooth. If your not looking into price matching, refurbished items, or used items, then you can't go wrong.

I bought a set of refurbished Klipsch Pro Media 4.1 computer speakers. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time, no problems with the packaging or any missing components. The speakers, however did have problems that warrented sending the item back. I called for an RMA number, returned the package, and got my money back. All in all, the whole transaction went off without incident. They CS people will answer any questions you have.

I was recently looking for a GPS system. I found one that met my requirements that was on sale from buy.com. When I was researching the going online price for this system, I ran across Vanns (of whom I had heard, but never purchased from before). They had it for, like twice the price that buy.com listed it. I also noted Vann's Price Match policy, conspicuously posted on their website. So, (mostly to see if these guys were bogus, or not), I called them up. Like the previous poster, I was refused a price match. In my case, they didn't even bother with the "authorized reseller" excuse. I was told that their policy was an "if we choose to" sort of thing, and that buy.com's price was a lot better than they could do, so I should buy it there (which, in fact, I did). I wasn't treated impolitely, or anything, but I can't help but wonder what businesses are thinking when they employ these kinds of tactics. Nobody's got a gun to their heads, forcing them to price match at all, so why advertise something that they will virtually never honor. They don't have to say, "If you have to ask how much it is, you don't need to look here" (although that may not be bad advice, either), but they could just state that they don't price match internet prices, and eliminate bad customer shopping experiences. I have purchased a dvd player and was happy with the serivce and price. I am now looking for a home theater surround sound system. I have found the system from various dealers. Vann's is not the lowest price but since I have done business with them I wanted to give them the chance to get my business back by using their price matching.
I e-mailed requesting a price match. I was told the dealer I was referencing was not an authorized dealer and I wouldn't get the warranty with the item and therefore they would not match the price.
They are correct in that the dealer is not an authorized distributor but they buy through another distributor who is and the full factory warranty is indeed included.
I said ok and sent them two other price quotes that were lower than Vann's (not quite a low a th the first one I submitted) and both of them were from authorized dealers. I got a very short response back that simply said.
"The price that is on our website will be the lowest price that we can offer at this time!"
So guess what, they lost my business. The item was $35 more at Vanns than the highest of the 3 quotes I asked them to match and when we are talking about a $350 item that is 10% and worth going elsewhere for.

I bought a panasonic dmr-hs2 recorder for a very good price.very fast order prosess.Iwanted to order a nother item and was told it was on back order and and didn't no when they would get it.very responceable peopleto not sell me something then let me wait for it.thank you. I always complain about bad service, but seldom take the time to say something good, so..... I ordered a HarmonKardon 525 from Vanns. It arrived undamaged, well packed, on time and at the exact price I was quoted. No bait n switch or BS sales gimmicks. There shipping cost was a little high but the overall price was the best I could find.
So far so good with Vanns, via Amazon.com.

I was very satisfied with the service provided by Vann's.com. They were courteous and efficient, and with the free shipping, their prices are quite reasonable when comparing with similar busi-nesses. Mark was especially pleasant, and an honest person to deal with. I would definitely shop there again.

All I have is praise for this company. I can't say that everything with my order went perfect, but sometimes it's how a business reacts to problems that really shows you how good they are. I ordered a 60" Sont TV from Vanns. I was a little nervous about ordering such a "large ticket" item from an website (especially since I live in NY and the business is in MT!), but I saw their price, read their reviews, and decided to take a chance. They had the TV for $300 less than I could get it here (not count sales tax!), plus free shipping, AND no interest/no payments for 2 years! I ordered on a saturday, and by Monday I got info that it would be here on friday (6 days!). Unfortunately, when the truck arrived on Friday the driver told me that I probably would not want the accept. The box had been crush ed to the point where it was split open in two places. I refused delivery and then called Vanns. They apologied for the problems and treated me very politely. They said that they showed another TV in stock and it would probably shipout Monday, but that since the next week was thanksgiving week, I probably would not get it until after thanksgiving. Add to that, the next day I get my first Vanns credit card statement and it says that I have to make payments. I called Vanns on Monday morning, and the person there again treated very nicely, apologies, and said that she would lok into it right away. I got an e-mail from her by the end of the day saying that she took care of the problem and my purchase was not under the no payment/no interest promo. By friday of that week I still did not have tracking info on the TV, so I went to the Vans website to get their phone number and noticed that the price of the TV had dropped $300! I called them, told them I had not recieved the tracking info yet and thast the price had dropped before I even got my tv. The operator said she would do some checking and get back to me right away. she called me back within 30 minutes with the tracking info (the TV would be here Monday) and told me that they would be crediting me back the $300! On Monday the TV arrived without a scratch and the picture is amazing. I can't say enough good thing about how I was treated but their customer service. Each one I talked made me feel like they were very concerned and wanted to help me resolve any problem. I will definately order from them again (I wish they would build a store in NY!). Very happy with transaction. order Sony trv27 on Monday, it was delivered on Thursday. Great price, no problems, Mark in sales was very knowledable and offered shipping suggestions that were fast and saved me money. Got 3 e-mails within 10 minutes with all necessary tracking and billing info.Will use again!

I was looking for a product and found Vanns web site indicating that they have a Competitive Price Match. I filled out the form with all the information from the other source as requested. There reply was "I'm sorry we cannot match that price. The site you listed below is not a authorized dealer for the product you are looking at" The company is a authorized dealer. It seems that the price was too low to match. Look elsewhere you can find a better price for the products other then buying it at Vanns

This company out in Montana deserves all of the positive ratings it gets. Their website is informative, easy to navigate, and provides an honest shopping experience. I purchased a Sony DCR-TRV950 digital camcorder totally on-line (no phone calls) and quickly received four follow-up emails providing order status! Their special sale price was good and the free delivery made it even better. Highly recommended!

I ordered a Panasonic portable DVD player. They had the best price, and as a first time customer, I used a discount coupon from their website. They kept me fully informed from the inception to the final shipping of the player. Package came on time, very well wrapped, and works fine. I spoke to them on the phone to confirm that the player was in stock as noted on their website, and it was.I then ordered a few days ago an extra battery and a case. I found the battery much cheaper at a few other websites. Vanns wants you to give them an opportunity to meet or beat a better deal. I submitted the cost that I found, which was $50 cheaper, and within a few minutes they responded that they would meet the price, and they discounted the carrying case too, which surprised me. I would most definitely do business with them again.

Ordered a Kenwood Home Theater system (HTB 544). It was delivered on time. However, one of the speaker was found damaged after unpacking. They emailed me a pre-paid UPS label on the same day I reported to them. After shipping the speaker back to them, I waited three weeks and it's a resasonable turnaround time considering they don't have it on stock. I think
VANNS offers pretty good pricing and they are very responsive. I will do business with them again when there are some good deals I need.
