DigitalSuperDeals are con artists. I placed an order for a K10D Pentax Camera over the Internet. I then recieved an email that I had to call to "confirm and verify" my order (even though they already have my credit card, address and everything else they needed). As I suspected, they immediately proceeded to try to sell me greatly overpriced accessories. I kept telling them that I didn't want any accessories. They literally screamed at me "how can you buy a camera with memory and batteries!!" They even went so far as to say that the battery that came with the camera was a "sampler" battery, which is a total lie. Since I refused to buy any accessories, they told me I had to wait SEVEN WEEKS for it to be shipped (even though their Web site said it as "in-stock, ships in 1-2 days"). Needless to say, I cancelled the order.
I ordered a Canon digital camera that they claimed was in stock. I got an email saying I must call them to verify my order and when I did I was told I needed to buy a second battery or a memory card. I told them NO, I didn't need these items and they said then my order was cancelled.I guess the purpose of this company is to sell add ons and if not they cancellyour order.
I still think that this seems to be a dodgy company even though in the end I could cancel my order without problems (I did not get an email confirming my cancellation, however. The person just said when I called "O.K. We'll cancel it".) That was a day later, after I had tried to call to confirm my order as was requested by the return email after my order. When I had got through, the guy had tried to sell me other things but when I was not interested hung up on me. Also, as I wanted to confirm the two day shipping I had paid for, I had called again and he hung up on me right away. I did not get through to anyone that same day wanting to cancel my order, so I cancelled my credit card... A waste of time and money!

thedigitalnerds.com are the same company . I had the SAME experience as most on here . They are a scam ! Tried to sell me every extra part for a Canon Elura 100 . They hung up when I wouldn't go for the hard sell. Had a hard time canceling my order.HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THESE GUYS TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DO BUSINESS ONLINE ? What is our recourse to deal with these crooks?
I called to confirm and he tried to sell me a memory card because "it don't come with one". I told him I already had one and he then tried to sell me a battery. I told him no thanks I just need the camera.
He then tells me it's refurbished and asked if I wanted an upgrade. So I go to look at my order and he starts yelling at me. I told him to cancel my order and he said he did. I'm still going to cancel my credit card just to be safe.
You will find stuff, do your check out... and then be required to CALL for confirmation.
Upon calling, a rude salesperson, the owner, will tell you that you miss some components in your order and IMPOSE additional products on you. Your total will increase by 40%.
If you refuse, you will be insulted (for no reason). The salesman will tell you you shall be charged 20% of the order for a ''cancellation fee''.
The only FEE I paid was to with my bank, to block immediately my credit card...
I have never written a review before, but my experience was so unbelievable, I had to warn others to never do business with this company.
Like others, I ordered a camera and was told to call to confirm the purchase. I received the call on Sunday night and was told the camera came with a 20 minute battery and no memory card. Within a couple of minutes my $ 358.99 order was over $600.
I stated I wanted to think about it and we would talk on Monday. With this comment the salesman got mad and told me that was not possible and called me an idiot. With that comment, I tried to cancel the order and was told that was not possible and called more names.
I hung up and he called back and threatened legal action if I did not proceed with the order amidst more name calling. I welcomed him to proceed with any action deemed necessary but I will not be held hostage and the order stands canceled.
I am contacting my credit card company and the BBB.
I wish I had researched this company before wasting my time and peace of mind.

Buyer Beware - I placed an order for an Olympus SP550 digital camera. Told to confirm order by calling. Item is listed on site as available. Once I called, at no time was I asked any questions pertaining to the validity/security of the online order. Instead, I was asked to purchase additional unnecessary items that I did not need or want. When I refused these items, they hung up on me. I called back to confirm shipment and was told that the item was available and would arrive within 5 days. Shortly after, I get an email that they cancelled the order due to not being available. Don't waste your time with this place. They either are completely clueless as to what they have in stock or utilize marked up pricing on accessories to make up for advertised pricing. The FTC has rules governing the sale of items via the internet. I will be forwarding my concerns about this company to them.

They are fraudulent and use bait and switch tactics, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. They are the worse company I have ever come across!

This company is deceptive and rude. After placing an internet order they require you to call them so they can push other products on you. When I refused to purchase and ask that they proceed to process my order or cancel, the guy said okay I'll cancel. When I called back to speak with someone else, they seen my order notes and said te product is not in stock, even though the website stated differently. I do not recommend doing business with this company.

THis company will commonly advertise a refurbished product, then try and sell you accessories. If you do not buy, they (with an attitude) will tell you its not in stock. Your order will be canceled if you don't buy the more expensive new product or some WAY OVERPRICED accessories...

A great price on a panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 digital camera but if you refuse any of the over-priced accessories (like a 119.95 528 SD card that you can buy for $5 on Ebay) they will cancel your order. I was told that the camera would not work without buying their memory card. (the 1st lie). I was then told that the camera was used and came with no warranty or accessories and I could upgrade to a new one for a higher price. When again I refused I was hung up on and received an email later that day stating the camera was out of stock so my order was cancelled and for me not to replace the order.....
"Due to the product you ordered being out of stock for 6-8 weeks from today's date. We have cancelled the order . when or if we get the product again in stock soon will send you an email to place an order please do not resubmit your order again . sorry again and thanks for your understanding ."
So unless you have nothing better to do that to have losers try to scam you for your hard earned money I suggest staying away from this company.
