Classic bait and switch. Really good price on optio w30 camera when sales called to "confirm" my order wanted me to purchase items I did not want or need. After they figured that out said item was a "refurbished" and was out of stock. I explained that the web site said it was a new item at that price and that would be considered false advertising. I also added that if a new camera was not available at that price I would be reporting it to the Better Business Bureau. They immediately said they would cancel my order when I said I wanted the camera at the advertised price they said it was not available. STAY AWAY FROM THEDIGITALNERDS CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH

Items aren't in stock and you must call to "confirm" your order only to be offered ridiculous prices on unnecessary items. When you don't buy any of the extras they hang up on you. After a few weeks you call to get status and are told that the item is out of stock. Then, if you call to order one, it is in stock. When you ask them about the discrepancy they hang up on you. These people are dishonest and have no ethical values. They have multiple sites under different names and even a rating site that promotes 5 star ratings - watch out for sites that have matching prices.

Similar story, they advertised Canon SD750 for a very good price. Took the order, then I received an E-mail to confirm the order by phone. When I called, the operator said that this camera is not available and hung up. When I called second time in order to get cancellation confirmation he hung up again. I canceled my credit. I wonder if anybody finally bought something from this company. If they do not really cell anything, then it is clear that they steal CC numbers. It is interesting that this company has an excellent rating on www.everyprice.com. They are, probably, the members of the same gang.

They called me after receiving my order(which was in stock) and wanted to sell me extremely overpriced batteries and memory for a camera. After I declined these extras they canceled my order and told me not to reorder with their company again.

I wish I would have checked out "resellerratings.com" before I dealt with this company. These jerk New Yorkers need to be prosecuted, sued, then thrown in jail for a very long time so they can get what they deserve for yelling and cursing at all of us. I got into a HUGE uneccessary fight with my wife because she placed the order and I thought she screwed up. Later that day we realized that they were just trying to screw us with the same exact story that all the other posts have made. I called the State Attorney General in New York and I filled out the online complaint form. WE ALL MUST COMPLAIN TO GET THEM OUT OF BUSINESS AND PROSECUTED FOR FRAUD. DON'T GET MAD, JUST GET EVEN. I WANT TO GIVE THAT JERK WHAT HE DESERVED!

Total scam. Stay away. Required to "comfirm" order, when I refused to buy an over priced extra battery the order was canceled with the words "Get the hell off my phone!"

This is the biggest scam on the internet !!! They utilize trhe bait and switch method, not unusual for a New York firm. Too bad they didn't burn to the ground during 911. This site is TOTAL rip-off. Ordered a camera and didn't buy accessories, so they cancelled my order. This has happened over and over again. I'm writing a letter to the Attorney General's Office in New York State.

This company appears VERY shady. After placing the order I was emailed that I must confirm the order via phone prior to shipment. Upon calling, the rep insisted I must buy a memory card to go with the camera (it was offered at more than 4x the price I found from other vendors online) even after I declined twice. Next the rep suggested I buy batteries (which I already have). Once he was sure I wasn't about to purchase any of their overly priced accessories he informed me that the camera I was buying was refurbished and would I like to buy the new one for an additional $100? The entire transaction began to feel dishonest at that point and I cancelled the order. The rep declined to send me written confirmation of the cancellation several times before becoming rude and sarcastic and ultimately sending an email confirming the cancellation. I went back to the website description of the camera and no place does it show the camera as refurbished. This is clearly misleading and the business practices appear VERY shady.

Like all the others said...these guys are crooks. If you don't buy the overpriced accessories then they cancel your order saying it is out of stock.

This store is a scam. Purchased a canon G7 from these guys, their website claims they have it available and today claim they don't have it. Have thus canceled my order and are issuing a 20% cancellation charge to me. Do not buy from these guys whatsoever.

I ordered a camera from this web site, providing all information, credit card, shipping etc. Strangely, I received an email that said "Please call scott from our order confirmation department at ext: 207 to confirm your order.  
 
 
When I called Scott, he told me the camera came with a battery that only lasted 5 minutes and that I needed to purchase the 5 hour battery. I politely declined to which he insisted I purchase the battery and that if I did not I would never have the chance again to purchase the battery, ever. I told him I just needed the camera. At that point he said it would be 8 weeks shipping. I said OK. No Problem. He said he needed to check something else and then informed me that actually, they had discontinued the model and that my order would be cancled.  
 
I am attempting to report this site to the BBB however I don't have an address for this company, just a web site & 800 #. Anyone with  
an address, please, please email me.

First I had trouble even placing an order. Ended up getting 4 confirmation e-mails -- one correct, one without freigh, and 2 with nothing in them but an order number. They said I had to call to confirm the order. When I called, they saw that I had 2 orders and I said I only want one (Nikon Coolpix S10). The guy proceeded to tell me that the included battery only lasts 20 minutes so I should consider an extra. I said "is this not an unopened factory box?". He said yeah, but batter only lasts 20 minutes. I said no thanks, I only want the factory unopened box. Then he said "there's no memory card, you have to buy memory card". I said no thanks, I have my own. He then hung up without saying anything. Shocked the hxll out of me.  
 
Today I check my account, and there is another order number showing! So now I'm worried I might get charged multiple times. Call in, was told the new order number "doesn't exist". So I give him yesterday's number that I assume is the correct one. He said "we don't have that in stock so it's cancelled". I said "do you normally cancel an order without telling the customer?". Silence. He hung up on my. Called back, asked to confirm my order, he saw it and said "that's cancelled". I said "do you normally cancel without telling cust ....."' He hung up before I could finish my sentence.  
 
So called back one more time -- this guy at least had the decency to stay on long enough to yell at me.  
 
STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!
