After ordering a Canon SD870IS camera we recieved a call from TheDigitalNerds and wanted to sell me high priced accessories. I didn't buy any and the person hung up hurriedly. Three days later the order was cancelled due to out of stock. After checking their site it says the camera is available. If you don't pay the high price for their accessories you won't recieve a low priced product!

I mistakenly looked at the reviews of this store using the search engine site ratings, and did not do my usual check of independant store rating site.
Same as many other comments I see here, I ordered a Canon S3-IS and then received an e-mail to call. The web site said that the camera was in stock. The salesman tried to sell me a case, memory, batteries, the works. I told him that I have the exact same camera but broke it and needed an identical replacement, and did not need extra's. He then tried to sell me a 5 year warranty that cost $199 when the camera only cost $189. I mentioned that it was more than the camera so he dropped the price to $129. He offered 512 MB of memory for $49, then 1 Gig for $99, then 2 Gig for $199. Umm... 2 gig of memory is available at the corner store for $29. He did then offer the 2 Gig for the prices of the 1 Gig, with a case tossed in for good measure, but I needed none of them. He then said that I should not use Alkaline batteries because they will damage the camera. Hmm... why does the camera come with 4 alkaline batteries then? I told him that I understand if they can't sell the camera for that price, but he said that I would be receiving my order shortly. Then today, 5 days after the phone call, I get the following letter from them:
---------------------------------------------
We thank you for your order and appreciate you shopping with us .
Due to the product you ordered being out of stock for 6-8 weeks from today's date. We have cancelled the order . when or if we get the product again in stock soon will send you an email to place an order please do not resubmit your order again . sorry again and thanks for your understanding .
----------------------------------------
What I undersand is this... they wasted my time, so I decided to spend a few more minutes and let people out there know that this store is of the lowest quality and should be avoided like the plague.
During the entire process, I never got upset with the salesman. He is probably making most of his salary on the commissions from the sales of the hyper-mark-up items that he was trying to push. They just simply canceled the order because it would be a money-loser of non-profit case. Their business plan includes wasting lots of people's time.
Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.

Classic "bait and switch". The web site claims their Panasonic DMC FZ50K was in stock and carried a US warranty. It was not listed as refurbished. They were nice about me pointing this out, and agreed that was the case. But as soon as they found out that I wasn't going to buy any of the over-priced accessories, the salesman went to re-check availability. Then the manager got on the lin e and told me the order was cancelled.
Update: The cancelled order was confirmed by email. Since these guys are lying every time their mouth moves, I'm a little worried about them having my credit card number. I have reported this case to the NY Att. Generals website, and urge everyone else to do likewise.

In closing, I would only try doing business with these people if you are a professional proctologist looking for your biggest challenge! This review was modified by its author, R0ger, on

Ordered a camera online, but was instructed to call to confirm. When I called they tried to sell me an accessory kit I did not want. When I declined they insisted that the camera came with a "sample" battery that would last only 15 minutes, which was totally untrue. When I continued to decline to accept their accessory package, they informed me that the price was for a "refurbished" camera and it would be another $40 to get a new one. They claim the website said "rfb" if you scrolled down far enough, but I found them by a price search for a new camera. By that time I'd had enough and cancelled the order.

BAIT & SWITCH con artists. Beware.
I ordered a camera from this web site, providing all information, credit card, shipping etc. Strangely, I received an email that said "Please call scott from our order confirmation department at ext: 207 to confirm your order.
When I called Scott, he told me the camera came with a battery that only lasted 5 minutes and that I needed to purchase the 5 hour battery. I politely declined to which he insisted I purchase the battery and that if I did not I would never have the chance again to purchase the battery, ever. I told him I just needed the camera. At that point he said it would be 8 weeks shipping. I said OK. No Problem. He said he needed to check something else and then informed me that actually, they had discontinued the model and that my order would be cancled.
I am attempting to report this site to the BBB however I don't have an address for this company, just a web site & 800 #. Anyone with
an address, please, please email me.
Thank you, egirardin@hotmail.com

First I had trouble even placing an order. Ended up getting 4 confirmation e-mails -- one correct, one without freigh, and 2 with nothing in them but an order number. They said I had to call to confirm the order. When I called, they saw that I had 2 orders and I said I only want one (Nikon Coolpix S10). The guy proceeded to tell me that the included battery only lasts 20 minutes so I should consider an extra. I said "is this not an unopened factory box?". He said yeah, but batter only lasts 20 minutes. I said no thanks, I only want the factory unopened box. Then he said "there's no memory card, you have to buy memory card". I said no thanks, I have my own. He then hung up without saying anything. Shocked the hxll out of me.
Today I check my account, and there is another order number showing! So now I'm worried I might get charged multiple times. Call in, was told the new order number "doesn't exist". So I give him yesterday's number that I assume is the correct one. He said "we don't have that in stock so it's cancelled". I said "do you normally cancel an order without telling the customer?". Silence. He hung up on my. Called back, asked to confirm my order, he saw it and said "that's cancelled". I said "do you normally cancel without telling cust ....."' He hung up before I could finish my sentence.
So called back one more time -- this guy at least had the decency to stay on long enough to yell at me.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!

DigitalSuperDeals are con artists. I placed an order for a K10D Pentax Camera over the Internet. I then recieved an email that I had to call to "confirm and verify" my order (even though they already have my credit card, address and everything else they needed). As I suspected, they immediately proceeded to try to sell me greatly overpriced accessories. I kept telling them that I didn't want any accessories. They literally screamed at me "how can you buy a camera with memory and batteries!!" They even went so far as to say that the battery that came with the camera was a "sampler" battery, which is a total lie. Since I refused to buy any accessories, they told me I had to wait SEVEN WEEKS for it to be shipped (even though their Web site said it as "in-stock, ships in 1-2 days"). Needless to say, I cancelled the order.

I ordered a Canon digital camera that they claimed was in stock. I got an email saying I must call them to verify my order and when I did I was told I needed to buy a second battery or a memory card. I told them NO, I didn't need these items and they said then my order was cancelled.I guess the purpose of this company is to sell add ons and if not they cancellyour order.

DigitalSuperDeals.com is the offender.
Ordered one Canon ZR-850.
Called as requested to confirm order.
Tried to up-sell me a $125.00 battery.
I requested that they ship the camera.
Was actually cursed and hung up on.
Called back to cancel the order and was told I was being charged a fee of 35%.
I canceled my card before they could strike.
A really bad show of internet commerce.
This outfit is one to avoid.

I have never written a review before, but my experience was so unbelievable, I had to warn others to never do business with this company.
Like others, I ordered a camera and was told to call to confirm the purchase. I received the call on Sunday night and was told the camera came with a 20 minute battery and no memory card. Within a couple of minutes my $ 358.99 order was over $600.
I stated I wanted to think about it and we would talk on Monday. With this comment the salesman got mad and told me that was not possible and called me an idiot. With that comment, I tried to cancel the order and was told that was not possible and called more names.
I hung up and he called back and threatened legal action if I did not proceed with the order amidst more name calling. I welcomed him to proceed with any action deemed necessary but I will not be held hostage and the order stands canceled.
I am contacting my credit card company and the BBB.
I wish I had researched this company before wasting my time and peace of mind.

I wish I would have checked out "resellerratings.com" before I dealt with this company. These jerk New Yorkers need to be prosecuted, sued, then thrown in jail for a very long time so they can get what they deserve for yelling and cursing at all of us. I got into a HUGE uneccessary fight with my wife because she placed the order and I thought she screwed up. Later that day we realized that they were just trying to screw us with the same exact story that all the other posts have made. I called the State Attorney General in New York and I filled out the online complaint form. WE ALL MUST COMPLAIN TO GET THEM OUT OF BUSINESS AND PROSECUTED FOR FRAUD. DON'T GET MAD, JUST GET EVEN. I WANT TO GIVE THAT JERK WHAT HE DESERVED! This review was modified by its author, sabiob, on
