I bought a Toshiba laptop from eBuyer and paid for Windows VistaB. Although Vista came on the computer, it crashed on the first day. The recovery CD I received was Windows XP. I contacted e-buyer. Their attitude was unbelievably rude. I communicated with Kathy Smith from customer services and she forwarded a very rude email from someone which said I should have created a recovery CD and company cannot help. I talked to Toshiba which suggested eBuyer should help or I should complain to ConsumerDirect. I contacted Kathy (at eBuyer) again. She forwarded the issue again to the relevant department and said she would get back asap. Next 2 weeks I waited for reply and sent her six emails looking for reply. She did not even bother replying. Perhaps she was told to totally ignore me. This was the worst customer service situation I have seen. Now dealing with ConsumerDirect.
Summary: I just recommend you not to buy from this vendor to avoid a painful experience.

purchased a lowrance iway 100m. the cd was defective. eBuyer.com would not replace it with a working mapcreate 6.3 for my gps. had to call paypal and discover card to reverse my charges, but they were no help either. lowrance finally helped me by 1) warning me to stay away from etailers like eBuyer.com, and 2)they sent me a "real cd" mapcreate for my gps.
so cheers to lowrance, and jeers to eBuyer.com.
WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM eBuyer.com!

They shipped me an EMPTY SHIPPING BOX. When I contacted them, they refused to ship me my MP3 player or to refund me! Unbelievable. I tried reversing the charges with my credit card company, but eBuyer (via Paypal) charged my card again!
I'm now stuck paying $319 (for an empty box!) because I can't dispute the same charge twice with my credit card company.
What a scam. Stay away from ebuyer!

I purchased a Tekkeon Bluetooth Headset from this store. The headset does not fit my ear properly and the sound quality was terrible. I contacted the company to request a RMA# for a refund or exchange. After a couple of days they sent me an email stating that my request was 'Declined'. This headset is completely useless and now I'm out $80! I personally would not recommend this online store.

WORST customer service experience so far!!! I am really discouraged about their store policies on assuring reliability of their products and keeping customers happy. They meet none of them. They would not agree or reimburse for a damaged product from their warehouse.... WATCH OUT FOLKS !!!

Worst online shopping experience ever. I purchased a Motorola Bluetooth HS850 headset, the item arrived appeared to be used, the Motorola logo on the headset is missing and the unit's box is damaged. I went ahead paired the headset with my phone and it is a defective unit. I contacted ebuyer for RMA, since it's a DOA, but they kicked me straight to the manufacturer. I contacted manufacturer and they told me the headset is actually made for Asian market and should not be sold in the US market. It was a bad experience with this online retailer. I should of check their ratings before I made the purchase. No wonder they had such low ratings. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

Have placed large computer-related office supply orders at EBUYER twice, one year apart. (printer cartridges, flash memory).
I would conclude from my own experiences thus far, that dealing with EBUYER is a crap shoot - and your odds are 50/50 of having an efficient on-line shopping experience with no human assistance, vs. a problem with your order followed by a very bad customer service experience. Interestingly, ratings of EBUYER here reflect this same disparity.
For this reason, I would never recommend that folks shop here. One would have to provide too many CAVEATS wtih the recommendation! Certainly, you'd never do your Holiday Shopping here. Pity the soul trying to return a gift!
Yes, you can save money here. But you must measure risk of things going horribly wrong and not having any customer support from EBUYER vs. reward of HUGE savings when things go right.
NO RETURNS POLICY on many items. Check the policy on your item. At best, there's a 20% restocking fee. Often, simply NO RETURNS accepted. If product has defect out-of-box, you have to deal with manufacturer, or accept loss.
They charge your credit card prior to shipping and prior to knowing if there is actual stock.
The website is not current on stock information and in this way can be misleading. Delays of your shipment occur due to this problem too.
I was sent the wrong items and forced to take part in their cumbersome and painful returns process - just an awful experience for anyone.
Extra charges were made to my card without any communication to me (for shipping). And, that was for shipping items that weren't in stock, nor would ever be in stock.
Refused to credit my account when sent me wrong items and they knew they actually would never have the items I paid for in stock. I was forced to wait for them to re-stock the wrong item they sent me before I would receive a credit for EBUYER's mistake.
Extremely poor communication. No courtesy e-mails are ever sent. If you want to know what's going on you have to be very proactive. They do NOT notify you regarding out of stock problems or shipping delays.
You must follow difficult and cumbersome protocol on-line, and read/research many pages on information to self-service your EBUYER problems. "Customer service", when reached, refer you back to the website, where you must suffer through pages and pages of stuff to figure out how to resolve a problem.
Shipping charges are exhorbitant. They charge shipping per item. Lots of differnt items (even if light weight) = HUGE shipping charges.
Use EBUYER for single items with big savings, or for multiple units of single items, and only for items you are very familiar with, and know you will not need to return.
Good luck to you in your gambles with EBUYER. With some effort & persistence, you just might get lucky!

Invoice was for a iOmega 250GB External HDD, but item shipped was a playstation 2 starwars DVD. Request to send the correct item was refused, was asked to reorder the item again. When asked about the policy which covers incorrect shipment, there was none and was told it was standard policy, which was whatever the CSR found it convenient on each of the 2 separate calls made. Now the CC has a block in the amount of the purchase and dont get my credit back until the return shipping is mailed and ebuyer gets back the merchandise. A very bad shopping experience, wish they had cancelled the whole order if there was a mistake, they had 5 business days to correct it.
Will not do business again as any creditable business will atleast take time to explain to the customer the terms or honor the right order, but they were simply indifferent.

Ordered Gotcha Force Gamecube and received these two jumpstart 2nd grade english for kids. They screwed up my order and now they want me to correct their mistake for them. Ebuyer wants me to send the software back to them and insist that I enjoy going through the hassle. I do not drive and I have to ship this back UPS. UPS is one mile away and who the hell would want to walk a mile with this box. Do not shop at their site. Terrible customer service and poor item order accuracy. I will never shop at this site again and I will warn all my friends about this site. How do you screw up an order when there's no similarities between gamecube game and 2nd grade jumpstart english software?
Only order from this site if you like receiving mail and going through the hassle of returning the items back to them. Call them, retrieve RMA number, wait, go UPS, send package, pat yourself on back, and thank ebuyer for the trouble.
This is what I found out:
Here's the deal I figured out after calling them. Apparently, what happened is that some items got crossed in their database with the same item number. The phone agent didn't explain it well but that's the gist of it.
My interpretation was that at some point they had Gotcha Force but sold out some time ago, then more recently another item got put in (the Jump Start software) with the same item number. But the info for the old item wasn't completely cleared out, so that's the mix up.
That explanation doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I don't see why an item number would ever need to be used for two different things -- each item should always be unique.

Caveat Emptor! Ebuyer.com might have excellent prices and service when you buy but if you need to return something or actually speak to someone who is helpful, RUN FAST. Their system of Enotes (emails) can be answered within 3 days. If you call Customer
(dis)Service, beware. I spoke to a person who was so rude and just kept repeating the tired line he was trained to give people who are steaming and frustrated. I advise that you pay a small amount more for a company that actually cares about you after the purchase. Only after putting the purchase into dispute with American Express and then threatening to write to the BBB of Arizonaand leaving a voice mail for the president of the company, did it seems to get them moving. They also have a hefty restocking fee if they apply it to your return. Check other review sites to see that they are a good company after the sale. I would NEVER buy from Ebuyer.com again.

I'm the purchasing for a small computer shop. We purchased a nearly $1000 HP Laserjet 2840 from this company, and had it shipped next day air at great expense. Ebuyer cancelled the order without email notice, and when I investigated the problem by logging into thier website, we had an account message saying that the promotion for this printer was over, and that they had only a specific amount of printers at this price....I was getting the bait and switch feeling here, so I will not do business with this place again. Bought it directly from HP for nearly the same price, WITH Saturday shipping!

I had ordered the Sennheiser noise cancelling headphones from ebuyer.com last week. I was wrong in trusting them once again. The headphones which I received were absolutely in an open package and the original packaging of the product also showed some damage. I won't buy from them again and would advise other buyers to be cautious. You could end up receiving an used product from them!!! I'm never going to buy from them again for sure.

BUYER BEWARE !!! BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM !!! OUR FAMILY RECEIVED AN EBUYER 'EBLAST' EMAIL. IN THE EMAIL, THEY LISTED A HONEYWELL AIR CLEANER FOR $4.52 THIS WAS AN IMPULSE BUY EMAIL AND WE RESPONDED AS SUCH. WE ORDERED 12. NOT EVEN REALLY KNOWING WHAT IT WAS, BUT THAT IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD DEAL...AGAIN, WE ACTED ON IMPULSE. ABOUT FIVE DAYS LATER WE RECEIVED AN EBUYER BOX. UPON OPENING IT, WE NOTED WE WERE NOW THE PROUD OWNERS OF 12, YES 12, HIGH-TECH VHS VIDEO HEAD CLEANERS! "WHAT IS THIS?" WE THOUGHT. WE WAITED ANOTHER WEEK OR SO TO SEE IF THIS WAS SOME BIZZARE MISTAKE AND THE ORDERED ITEMS WOULD ARRIVE, AND THE UPS PERSON WOULD PICK UP THE WRONG ITEMS. NEVER HAPPENED. I CONTACTED EBUYER VIA EMAIL, BY FAX, ETC. OVER THE PAST TWO WEEKS...AND...NOTHING BUT TROUBLE HAS ENSUED. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THEY SAID THEY MADE A PRICING MISTAKE ON THE AIR CLEANERS...NEWS TO US...SINCE THEY NEVER CONTACTED US! THIS IS BAIT AND SWITCH, PURE AND SIMPLE! ORDERED AIR CLEANERS, RECEIVED VHS VIDEO HEAD CLEANERS. WHEN I DEMANDED A REFUND, THEY WANTED ME TO REQUEST A RETURN AUTHORIZATION FOR THE AIR CLEANERS, BUT...THEY NEVER SENT THOSE! WAS I SUPPOSED TO 'PRETEND' I RECEIVED THEM? TO THIS DATE, THE VHS HEAD CLEANERS ARE NOT LISTED UNDER MY ACCOUNT. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, THEY SENT AN EMAIL TODAY STATING THEY WILL PICK UP THE HEAD CLEANERS AND CHARGE ME A 20 PERCENT RE-STOCKING FEE !!! I SWEAR IT'S TRUE. HERE IS THE EXACT QUOTE FROM THEIR EMAIL...
"If you would like us to pick the product up we would be happy to do that, however, you would be charged the 20% restocking fee as stated in our returns policy."
WHAT? THEIR MISTAKE, NOW I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT? AND, NOT RECEIVE A REFUND?
I WILL BE CONTACTING MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO DISPUTE THE CHARGE OBVIOUSLY. AND, I'LL BE CONTACTING THE ARIZONA STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE FOR POTENTIAL FRAUD. THIS IS SO SILLY. THEY NOW TRY TO BLAME US, THE CUSTOMER FOR THEIR MISTAKES.
STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE...RIP OFF !!!

Ordered an in stock item. Item was listed as "in stock" with the web sites "live update". received an email claiming item is out of stock. I checked the web site and it claimed item was actually in stock and being picked. Then a couple of days later received another email stating order has been canceled because of being out of stock. went back to the web site and was listed as in stock. I sent an e note to them and they responded that the item was out of stock and was canceled. but I could wait for it to show in stock and reorder at that time...NO THANKS!
