*Update 2* They sent me the part priority. Good stuff.
*Update* Got over my laziness and sent them an email. There was some error regarding my billing address and credit card company. I "should have received an email" but it must have "gotten lost in the shuffle." Close to Christmas so I will give them that one.
Ordered a laptop to IDE hard drive converter on 12/8. Received the confirmation email with order# and the usual information. Didn't receive any shipping notice and hadn't received it after two weeks so I began to wonder what was the deal here. I checked my credit card and haven't been billed for it as of 12/28. Since it was only $12 I'm too lazy to check up on it but I won't be ordering anything in the future. Did they lose the order or something? An email saying it was out of stock would be nice if that were the case. Oh well, bought a new one for $14 at a local PC shop. This review was modified by its author, jaykat, on

Purchased 3ware escalade raid card. very good value. i will definitely use in the future.

Fast shipping and good customer service.
But beware the "white box" items.
I purchased the 3WARE Escalade 7500-4LP white box kit (http://www.pc-pitstop.com/ide_raid/) which is supposed to include:
- 7500-4LP RAID card
- four 3-position 80 conductor PVC insulated flat ribbon cables
- two Y-split power extension cables
- manual
- drivers & management software on CD
- 3-year warranty
When the package arrived, I only got the 7500-4LP RAID card. After a quick to e-mail to customer service, I got a nice apologetic e-mail response saying that the missing items will be sent Priority Mail. Well, a few days later I received the 4 Ultra ATA cables, one Y-split power cable, a burned CD-R with the software.

I did a search on pricewatch for Vantec Stealth 80mm case fans, and saw that PC Pitstop had about the best price advertised. When I checked their website, tho, I found their price to be higher, so e-mailed them about the discrepancy, and asked if they'd pricematch their pricewatch ad.
I received a nice e-mail from Paul, who said they'd honor the price, and refund my c/c the difference, so placed the order.
After 5 days, I still hadn't received any confirmation of my order being sent, so e-mailed them, asking about it.
Paul responded again, and said they were temporarily out, but expected some in, in about 2 days. He also added that he would upgrade my shipping from Fedex ground to Fedex 2 day, at their cost. :)
It's customer service like this that will cause me to go back to PC Pitstop and shop again. No hassles, no blowing me off, just quick answers, and friendly customer service!
They're also supposed to be implementing a new shopping cart program that will allow shoppers to track future orders.

I bought XP Pro from them and was very pleased with their price...the lowest O've been able to find. My only slight complaint is that it's pictured and presented to be in the actual retail box. Instead, it's the "distrubted with a new PC ONLY" thing...I guess that's no biggie though. I haven't gotten my PC finished yet to test it...but I'm sure it's fine. Anyway, it shipped really fast and arrived right on time. I would buy from them again...and have already recommended others.
**Update**
The XP software works GREAT and so I ordered some rounded internal SCSI cables from them and they arrived very quick and exactly as ordered! Wow! I must say. I found this reseller using Google. I was trying to find some hard to get 50 pin (narrow) SCSI II cables in the round format. I ordered from them on the 14th and later reviewing all my orders I realized I forgot one cable out of the set (The floppy cables) so I emailed them. Same day they responded and said no problem to adding in the cables to the same shipment. That was Friday, today is MOnday I get a knock on my door, its the friendly FedEx man. That was a suprise, Fed Ex's web site said not until Wednesday, which is reasonable. So I have the cables first out of the entire computer setup. I rate these people A+++ !!! Not bad for a company I found off of Google with no clue how good of a company they are. Would definately buy from again!

Good God these people are good. It's only fair that - given the time I spend on this page checking other online resellers - I post when things go right, so I will. I've ordered from them in the past (my baby: a 435W Enermax) and was pleased, and I'm happy to say that I'm pleased with this order as well. I ordered a Lian-Li 15,000 RPM SCSI HDD cooler on Saturday. I don't remember what time exactly, but you can be assured that I don't wake up until at least noon on Saturdays. I had it shipped Fedex 3-Day Select (though I had to check my invoice to make sure). It was at my apartment Tuesday. I'm not sure how it's possible, but who cares because I'm happy. I ordered a 68-pin SCSI cable from them Monday, but only shipped it UPS ground. Think it'll be there tonight already? (It's Wednesday)

PC-PITSTOP has offered me such a personalized service, I couldn't tell if I was dealing with an online reseller or a store-front counter person! Paul, you have resonded quickly to my emails and provided a service level that was above and beyond what you normally see from online resellers.

I ordered on 25-Dec-2002 10:35:03 AM to See what type of Service I would receive during the worst time of Year. Ordered A 550W Coolmax power supply and a Thermaltake 6000 series case as i am building a Dual AMD 2400MP system. Power supply arrive the 27th. The case arrived today 01/02/03. Service was great. Emails from Paul Haley were quick. To order something this time of season you would have to be nuts. They passed the test with flying colors. Overall I would buy from them again and will do so on my next purchase.

This is my first purchase from PC Pitstop. In fact, I never heard of them until they came up during a Pricewatch.com search. Turns out they were 15 miles from my house. I bought an Enermax power supply and I am very pleased with their service and price. They had about the lowest price on this PS that I could find online.
I'm very pleased and will definitely check out their site when I need more parts.

I realized on Wednesday (Dec 4th) morning that I needed a computer power supply by that Friday. I found the item on the PC Pitstop website, and I emailed them and asked if they could ship the item the same day. They quickly emailed me back and confirmed that they could. I then placed the order. Within 90 minutes, I received an email from them with the Fedex tracking number. The item arrived on time and in great condition (good packaging!). This was a wonderful transaction -- no complaints at all.
