After trying several different web pages with bait-and-switch operations, I called their customer service before placing an order. Customer service said the camera was in stock as advertised. Tried to buy a Nikon D80 (body only) for $482. Called customer service again because they didn't send an automatic confirmation email. Was told the model I ordered was the Japanese version and was not in stock. The American version would be a lot more. I told them I'm fine with the Japanese version and was told it would be 4-6 weeks before they will get it in stock. I did not cancel my order and we'll see if they ever honor it, but I'm not optimistic. I can only recommend to stay away from this web site.

Not at all happy.

WildDigital low-balls the price on the web. After you order they send you email to contact becauee "We are required to speak to you in order to verify your billing information". You are connected to some guy who very aggressively tries to upsell you on various stuff. Given the stuff they were trying to upsell me on and the original price, my impression is that that they take accessories out of the box.

I ended up trying to cancel my order. Unfortunately it was "already shipped" and now I would have to pay a restocking fee.

Stay away from these people. They are not honest.

This is a scam business...please be aware of it. The customer service number will never be picked, and even if it is picked you will tranferred to a dead end. I ordered a camera from this site and wanted to expedite the shipping and was not able to do it by even calling them 10 times. I will have to dispute the charge in case they ship it. They are partnered with Broadway photo and seems like brooklyn, NY based. Please do not use this site.....I have warned you.

These people are scam artists. BEWARE. Typical low ball price bait and switch. I should know better that if a price is too good to be true, it is. When I ordered a Canon D9 camera, all seemed well. Then I got an e-mail saying I had to call to confirm address info. No big deal. Well, the hard sell started as soon as the clown finally answered the phone. Ove r priced batteries, chargers, on and on. Pretty soom the price quoted was double what was advertised. I requested to just buy the base camera with what should be included. Two days later another e-mail. Now a problem with a backorder. I call them and pose as a new buyer. They say they have it in stock. I challenge them as to why it is backordered. This crook proceeds to tell me the camera I ordered was the Japanese model and everything is in Japanese. After a few choice words I cancelled the order, paid more with a reputable company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! If you see positive reviews, it's probably those swine at Wild Digital writing them.

I have ordered a SONY Handycam HDR-CX7 Memory Stick PRO Duo Camcorder and I reveived an email from them to call them to verify my billing information. I called June 9th and It told me that they were on Holidays between June 9th - June 10th and will be back on June 11th (like they deserved a holiday). I then waited unpatiently for my camcorder.

I finally called June 11th 9am in the morning. Waited for someone to pick it up for almost 30 mins. I finally get a person and they asked me about buying the camcorder with ad ons. Told me that the battery lasted 15 mins and asked me to order a special 4hr battery for only $189. After I said cancel, he called me a MORON and hanged up...

I should have reviewed the store before even attempting to purchase a product from them. As stated below, they used the same bait and switch tactics on a confirmation call when verifying a different shipping address. Ordered an Infocus IN-37 projector and they started with:

* Do you want a mounting bracket?
* Do you want extra lenses
* Do you want more warranty?
Then asked if I wanted a bulb for the projector? WHAT?!? I thought a bulb comes factory? I pointed out to the customer service rep that they don't advertise the projector without a bulb on their webpage. And even if they did, there were no packages additional to get the bulb added... Customer support was very short and hung up on me. Needless to say, I canceled my order. Shady, very shady!

I called and got a real person quickly. He was courtious and helpful. When he uggested I buy an extra battery, I declined and he was not forceful.

They did misspell my name and I did not receive a confirmation e-mail or tracking info. When I called a week later they found my order and informed me that it had shioped and would arrive that day.

The item arrived as represented that day via UPS. I would buy from this store again based on my experience. I saved about 25% on a Sanyo camcorder.

Low cost Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2K, 10.2 Megapixel, 4x Optical/4x Digital Zoom, Digital Camera (Black). The camera is a "grey-market" camera. The manual was a reproduction of an english manual, and the warantee is not as good as a domestic model. Wilddigital forces you to call them to confirm your credit card. Then they try to upsell you a bunch of accessories you don't really need. They will even lie to scare you into buying things. example: When I called they wanted me to know the battery that comes with the camera on lasts 20 minutes and takes 8 hours to charge, an outright lie. They were more than happy to sell me an additional battery for $89 that would fix that! Their battery, in addition to being grossly over priced, was a 710mAh battery! Almost half the power capability as the one that comes with the camera! Don't even ask about the $300 SD memory they are trying to sell you, it is only 512MB! a 4GB stick only cost me $50 at Newegg. In short, if you are ok with grey market cameras, thats fine, but don't buy any upgrades from them, it is just a pure rip-off!

Order a Nikon rangefinder. Got an email next day to verify the order which is their method to sell you bogus warranty and ridiculous priced accessories. The guy says the item comes with 3 month warranty when it actually comes with 1 year and says that the battery that comes with the camera only lasts 20 minutes, and tried to sell me both. I kindly declined.
Then it took 3 days after that to ship the item.

In all in all, I got the item at the best price beating the second lowest priced seller Amazon by $60. Not a good buying experience, but that's what you have to endure to get the best value.

STAY AWAY!! NOT WORTH THE AGGRIVATION!! TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!! Wild Digital is part of the Broadway Photo / A&M Photo World, Regal Camera, Prestige Camera, Preferred Photo, Royal Camera group of scam artists. DON’T USE ANY OF THESE COMPANIES—THEY ARE ALL RELATED AND USE THE SAME TACTICS.

All these companies have the same website design, the same ads, the same product descriptions and the same listed prices. They suck you in with seemingly great low prices but in the end, if your time, blood pressure reading, and faith in your fellow human beings are worth anything to you, you will ultimately pay far more than you expect. You will actually come out ahead by paying a little more up front at a reputable vendor. This is the important point and the reason you are researching these companies at this site. The $100 you MIGHT save by going to these people is simply not worth the time and aggravating effort you will have to expend in trying to make them live up to their end of the bargain. You can read about my ordeal if you have time, but the short answer to your question about which vendor to choose is in the old adage: “IF IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS.”

16 Jan—Ordered a TomTom 920T GPS from Wild Digital at their advertised price of $459 after first confirming from Jonathan that they had several in stock. The price was over $100 less than their nearest competitor and I decided it was worth the risk…

17 Jan—Received an email from WD stating that the item I had ordered was “currently unavailable”. I called to find why I had been told the opposite when I placed my order. At this point we got into the Bait and Switch game—the advertised model was a non-US model with Asian maps instead of US and Europe and by the way, didn’t I want to order the upgraded 4 hour battery instead of the 1 hour battery that was included… I had done my homework with TomTom’s tech reps and knew the battery ploy was BS. I told him I didn’t want the extended battery and ask him for customer service. After holding for 30 minutes I spoke to Gabriel who was surprisingly cordial after I explained the issues. He apologized for the mix up and said they did have the US version in stock but that Wild Digital's cost was $490. He would let me have it at that price and would throw in a screen protector and a cleaning kit (each “a $10 value”…). He sounded sincere and the total was still way less than any other place so I agreed. I got a shipping confirmation and tracking number late that night.

21 Jan—Received a TomTom 920—not a 920T. The T indicates an included Traffic antenna and is worth $100. I was also charged a $7.88 “Insurance Fee” that I was not told about and that I didn’t authorize. I called WD Customer Service and spoke to Gabriel again. He apologized and gave me a return authorization number, stating that they still had 920Ts in stock and would priority ship one to me right away. I returned the 920 via the USPS at my cost.

28 Jan—Called Customer Service because I had yet to receive a tracking number—much less the actual GPS via “Priority” shipment. I was told that the returned GPS had just been processed and that the new one would now be shipped.

1 Feb—Received a TomTom 920!! Once again THE WRONG MODEL!!! I called CS again and spoke to Marlin who was very apologetic, told me UPS would pick it up on Monday (4 Feb) and he would “overnight” the 920T.

5 Feb—Still no pick-up. Still no delivery. Called and spoke to Gabe again. He said UPS would pick up the 920 on 7 Feb and he would overnight the 920T.

7 Feb—UPS picked up the 920.

11 Feb—Spoke to Michael and ask WTF my GPS was. He said they had just processed the return and would overnight the 920T—Does any of this sound familiar??????

14 Feb—Spoke to Jessie WHO SAID THEY DON’T CARRY THE 920T!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! After explaining the situation to him again in words of one syllable, he said it had actually shipped out on the 12th—or maybe on the night of the 13th! No, he didn’t have a tracking number to give me but he was sure it would arrive later today. Or tomorrow.

15 Feb—After a solid month of agony, frustration, lies and hours on hold I finally got the damn GPS I ordered. I would gladly pay more than the shitty $50 I ended up saving to have that part of my life and sanity back.

Save yourself. Don’t order anything for any reason from any of these companies.
