I sent a support question via email around 10:00 pm. An hour and half later, they had replied! I was very impressed. Enough to make me want to order my next computer with them. Thanks, ABS.
I ordered from ABS after months of research. While some of the other companies (Cyberpower and all of their affiliates) were a bit cheaper. Their customer service ratings were awful. I probably paid about $300 more for my ABS than I would have paid for one from those builders, but I could not be happier with my purchase. The stainless steel case was immaculate, and the internal wiring is a thing of beauty. There were no parts substitutions either, which is a concern I read about from other vendors. Overall, I am happy I spent my money with ABS, though I may build my own the next time around.
Way back in 2006 I finally decided to take the plunge and buy a real gaming machine instead of buying a new Dell or HP every couple of years. Being married with two kids I didn't have the time or energy to build or upgrade my own anymore. Every penny counts so I did a lot of shopping and research to catch up with "modern" PC technology.
I wanted to not only get good "bang for my buck" but I also wanted a company with a decent reputation for quality of build and after purchase support. My choices were finally narrowed down to Puget, Velocity Micro, and ABS. ABS won out by giving me more "bang for my buck" and having just as good a support reputation as the other two.
I waited until Intel's Conroe chips were available and bought a Ultimate X9 for a little over $2000.00 and it was incredible. It simply breezed through any software I put on it no matter how demanding it might be.
However I started having problems in late June that seemed to have something to do with the motherboard. While I wasn't always able to speak with a tech when I called they always called me back and were polite and professional.
Finally it got to the point where my PC would not even boot up and just give a BIOS error code. With it still under warranty I shipped the whole PC back to ABS through UPS.
Unfortunately UPS damaged the PC during shipping and this began a two plus month saga of frustration.
However, by sticking to my guns and even threatening legal action UPS finally coughed up what the repairs would cost and ABS had my PC on its way the next day. They had already repaired the PC and were just waiting for UPS to finally relent.
Throughout the ordeal ABS was on the ball ready for whatever latest stalling tactic UPS threw at me.
They even updated several parts because the original models were no longer available through them. Then they also upgraded the shipping when a booboo kept it from being shipped the same day as first planned.
The repaired PC works wonderfully and I can again play the most demanding games on the market without a worry.
Honestly I have been very impressed with how much ABS has been willing to work with me and when I look at buying a new PC a few years from now ABS will be at the top of my list.
I had a wonderful experience with abs. My order was easy to place despite issues with a conflict between the shipping and billing address on the credit card used. ABS helped to sort out all of the credit card issues and even provided a conference call with the credit card company. The machine I ordered works wonderfully.
Let me start by saying I am a tech ops sup for a major tel-com company... I first bought a pc with ABS in 2003(i think, been a while) and was plagued with hardware failures, not really ABS's fault but they fixed each and every faulty piece of hardware. So when it became time to purchase another desktop for myself, I looked into ABS but becuase I wasn't lazy about shopping around online but too lazy to build myself, I looked to another builder 1st... That was a complete mistake! I do not have the space allowed to tell that story. Ultimately I decided to go with ABS for several reasons... They are the biggest bang for the buck, they have great CSRs, and they are willing to help you when things go wrong. ABS I will continue to talk you up to my customers and to friends. Thank you!
Outstanding experience, this is the second time in a row I bought a computer from ABS. They were not the very lowest price but definitely the best value. Once ordered, the computer came quickly even though it was near Christmas. It was exactly what I ordered with no last minute substitutions, very thorough documentation. I've had the computer for eight months with no problems so no need for customer service, although my previous experiences with ABS customer service and technical support were very good. I will definitely purchase from ABS again in the future.

The purchasing experiences was a great one. The timely manner in which I recieved my product was great. Ordering was simple and the personel calling to confriming that I made the order was a top notch idea.
Easy system configuration, lots of good options, excellent pricing, fast delivery, good response to some small questions I had about the payment details.
The computer has performed so well that I have no idea what their post-sale support is like.
It did take a lot longer than they had said it would to get my "free express Vista upgrade" but I did get the CD at no cost even though I have no intention of installing the thing, so that's not a real complaint. I believe the upgrade deal was handled by a third party anyway.
All in all my experience with ABS has been a good thing.
If you are looking to buy a true gaming laptop for a decent price, this is the store to go to. Although I ended up going with ABS I originally went with Dell. The system I purchased through Dell was promised to me (3 times) to be able to handle Battlefield 2 (SN: RPM666) and it definetely did not. Only on the lowest possible video setting could it load the game, and lets face it - when you do that TETRIS has better graphics. So the system was instantly returned and for some reason Dell refunded me the price of the system and not the Tax($90+).
Then I went shopping around more and more and eventually ran across ABS, a company I have never heard of. Through the testimonials I decided this would be a safe and sound purchase.
The system I purchased was the Mayhem T1:
AMD 64x2 TL-60
2Gb Corsair Ram
100GB 7200RPM HDD
GeForce 7600 256Mb video card
Windows XP(none of that forced Vista crap)
This system did not come with any "Free & Useless" software, only the things I wanted - yes it's true I do not want a 60 day free trial to AOL, go fig.
The power and streamline build of this system is remarkable, on the absolute highest resolution and detail settings of Battlefield it runs perfectly smooth. Also I can put Command & Conquer 3 on VERY HIGH detail and it still does not hiccup (unless I have 400 ships circling the map but that's my own fault!)
The machine was shipped on time without delay and was packaged as if someone was sending crystal through UPS around the world, if anyone uses UPS for their company they would know it's kinda scary. But ABS compensated by sending my laptop in a giant foam box. The machine booted flawlessly and I was instantly amazed.
The only time I called Tech support was when I could not get the system to connect to my wireless network, building error? No. I did not know I actually had to power my antenna on but it was nice of the ABS techs not to start laughing:)
I have recommended ABS to anyone shopping for a REAL system and will probably purchase a 17" laptop from them when they decide to put an AMD platform in one.
PROS:
SPEED: It's fast, anytime anywhere.
COST: After shipping I was still in the low $1500's
SUPPORT: Fast, efficient, and they do not talk down to you. Also they speak perfect English so that eliminates a certain fustration element. When trying to return my Dell laptop I had to go through 4 people before I found a rep that was actually from Texas that I could understand.
QUALITY: My wife knocked the laptop off the table, twice, after a heart attack the first time and a stroke the second, it still booted up fine, no loose connections/ram/processor/video/etc. Very Very well built.
The ONLY CONS of the laptop.
Heat: It definetely can get hot fast, a LOT of power in a small package generates heat fast, get a laptop cooler and it's perfect($20)
Battery Life: I believe I have an 8 or 9 cell LiIon Battery and still only get about an hour and a half of battery life, but once again it is expected with a system that demands all the power(just have to have it plugged in basically). Imagine a Enzo Ferrari with a 3 gallon gas tank, then imagine it connected to a fuel truck.
Go buy a machine from them, even their "bottom of the line" systems and it will still out perform 90% of the competition. Thanks ABS for saving me headaches and getting me in trouble at work for playing video games!
My purchasing experience with ABS was great. But even more important is the availability and quick turnaround time of the very helpful customer/tech support, that has helped me keep a deadline in a very important moment. I use an ABS computer as the backbone of my production system.
System:
ABS Stealth X9 Firefox Elite
NOTE: ABS uses nothing but "High Quality" hardware parts in their systems & the installation is extremely professional & clean.
Pictures do not do justice for the systems you build.
I ordered the Ultimate X9 Firefox Elite.
When I received the new system I couldn’t believe just how beautiful it looked and how expertly crafted & well put together this was.
This system not only met the specifications listed on your site for the configured system I ordered, but surpassed them as well!!!
I tested all the specs using Sandra Engineer XI to make sure I got accurate results.
This system is very FAST & Powerful!!! I haven’t as of yet found a game that I can’t crank all the graphics settings to KILL that the system can’t handle.
Also, for the last week I’ve been diligently searching for a problem or weak spot in the system but to no avail! This system is Rock Solid.
I am extremely pleased with my purchase from ABS & will highly recommend your company to anyone whom asks me about this beautiful, powerful computer system!!!
EDITED: ONE YEAR LATER
Nothing has changed at all. This system has NO Weak Spots Anywhere...
This is Still by for the best pre-built computer gaming system I have ever owned!!!
Over 1 year now and it's still extremely Fast, Powerful & Reliable!
Icing on the cake is that it's a Very Good looking system that's pleasant to look at too.
(I have a HIGH Technical knowledge of computer hardware & software)
Over a year later after HEAVY usage with 0 hardware problems or failures...what more could a customer ask for!?
Sincerely one happy & satisfied customer;

I purchased a computer from them on Sept. 2nd 2006. Although it took them awhile to ship it out due to them running out of packing materials I received the computer relatively quickly after it was shipped. I have had the computer for almost a year now with no problems. I highly recommend this supplier and will make purchases from them in the future.
I am satisfied with ABS. I called a few times for tech support and they helped me each time. The only problem I had is that tech support was busy sometimes so they did not return my call until the next day. I would buy a computer from ABS again.
I purchased the Ultimate X8 stealth extreme from ABS. Everything about this computer was great. It was expertly crafted and has just enough blue LEDs to make the computer look purposeful but not over the top. Every wire and cord in the case has been zip tied away to make the case clutter free and look clean. The computer is incredibly powerful and fast. Every game I have played so far can be maxed out without any flaws in FPS. Plus, the 19in widescreen that was on sale is amazing looking.
Abs also has great customer service. They have helped me out every time I have called (which is about 5 since I bought it). I am very satisfied with the computer and would recommend anyone to purchase one.
Even though the computer is solid, I do have some complaints. Unfortunately, everytime I call tech support they have to call me back. There never seems to be anybody that is readily available to assist me, but when they do call back, they help out alot. Another complaint is that the computer was shipped and some of the liquid cooling was in the computer by the optical drives. It was just a few drops, which was probably attributed to the heat and it was condinsating, but it had me nervious at first. Another complaint is that they shipped the monitor out a day after the PC. A minor annoynce because I had a spare one, but I would have rathered get them both at the same time. Another problem was the backup copy of XP did not come with the computer. It must have been a mistake because they sent me 2 copies of Heroes of Might and Magic. The last complaint is the copy of Rainbow Six Vegas was dented and unusable. I contacted ABS and they said they will replace Rainbow Six and send me out a copy of the XP restore disc.
Besides these minor complaints, everything else is great and I would still go to them over Alienware or Cyberpower. Their prices are competitive and have great customer service!
