This is the second time i have ordered computer parts from DirectCanada. The first time, I ordered a processor, motherboard, memory, cooler, and a video card. Within about 4 days from placing my order, I had the parts in my hand. I found the entire process very easy and very fast. Their customer service is also top notch. Aswell, their prices are on par and sometimes even cheaper than other canadian e-tailers (tigerdirect, ncix, canadacomputers, etc).  
I recommend DirectCanada to all of my friends that are considering to purchase parts online.

If you get a defective product their return policy is very poor. They do not ship replacements, they will only give you a refund with a 15% restocking fee... it's not your fault that you got a defective product but you out money, in my case it was over 60 dollars restocking fee... very frustrating to say the least. Buyer be ware

I love DirectCanada. Their support team is fast, shipping is extra fast and prices are simply excellent! I always receive my order between 24 and 48 hours after my purchase, that's incredible!  
 
Indeed everything is not perfect. I guess they save money on a strategic place: Their website.  
The website directcanada.com is not really ergonomic and the lack of search filters is a pain. The tools to track order status is also very bad and their is no indication when a product from our order goes backorder. There is not much reviews from other customers on the website, I don't know if it's a lack of interrest or if DC is not well known.  
 
But nonetheless, I highly recommend DirectCanada to everybody. I'm checking products on other's sellers website, but I always do my final order on direct canada because of their best prices and shipping speed!

Just because it has Canada in its name does not mean it is a trustworthy company. Beyond a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. Not only do they take your money quickly without finishing the order, when you try to cancel it they cannot be reached. You call the phone numbers listed as contact information and 25 mins. later it is disconnected on one line, on the other it does not even go through. Is this company even in business still? Eventhough you never really wanted to do business with this company, no out is given. No phone contact number works. Emails are met with more demands that you assume will correct the problem but only pull you deeper into their unacceptable web of deceit. Then you try to do things the way they wish and alas you are emailed with the unacceptable information that you can only have a DirectCanada.com credit. So I say to myself maybe I'm wrong and go to their website to reorder the item, surprise it is no longer available. So here I sit with nothing but a credit of which there is no seeable way to use, for a company who neither answers their phone nor replies to any emails in a satifactory manner. What a valuable lesson for why not to deal with any company online, but maybe amazon.ca or chapters.ca where real people can be reached to resolve issues. I only hope this discourages someone else from making this same mistake.BUYER BEWARE! Issue may be resolved, I will see.

Took forever to process my order. Shipped me a defective one and told me to send it back at my own cost for a replacement. Then they tell me they discontinued the item and I would only get the purchase price refunded and not shipping. This took 5 months to resolve.  
 
So at the end I waste 5 months, spend $30 shipping a defective item back to them. And I still don't have the item I ordered.  
 
Response time very very slow. And lazy they constantly ask me to tell them the whole story all over again instead of scrolling down the message thread.

This business is going down in Cust. Services terms.  
 
It's unbelievable how it's impossible to reach them. Even by phone than by "tickets" or RMA online form.  
 
They just ignore us...I've sent 5-6 tickets in the last 2-3 months...I've never been answered.  
 
I tried by the RMA form...they just erased my claim and they didn't answered.  
 
They just want our money...that's it, that's all.  
 
They don't want to take time to answer us, to try to fix the problems we have and to give service. Time is money...  
 
When we have to deal with time limited MIR/RMA/Warranty, it's impossible to be answered in time.  
 
It's what happened to me. I got a DOA VGA card. It was a pain to be answered in time according to their "30-day DOA policy". But I was lucky enough this time and I was able to get refund.  
 
(in other hand, am I the only guy on earth thinking that a DOA should be FULL refunded?! I mean, shipping and stuff. Is it supposed to be my fault if their QC is deficient?! BTW...)  
 
But I wasn't able to reach them to ask for "free shipping on replacement". So I had to pay for the shipping on replacement card even if their own policies says that I shouldn't.  
 
No, really...bad business there.  
 
I have nothing to say against prices though.

I tried to deal with Direct Canada, but honestly it was one of the worst online shopping experiences that I have had.  
 
I placed my order on January 02. That same day I submitted a contact form asking when the order would be shipped and what I could expect. On Friday, January 04 I recieved a response saying that my order was being processed. Of course it wasn't processed at all.  
 
Then two products I ordered suddenly became listed as unavailable. So I submitted another support question. This time I recieved no response.  
 
I used the mastercard that is attached to my paypal account. I always do when I shop online since it allows me to see charges right away. On January 07, when my card had still not been charged, and two of the products I had ordered were now listed as unavailable - I cancelled the order.  
 
After cancelling the order they still tried to charge my card, but I had already placed the order elsewhere. I got a call from the credit card company when Direct Canada tried to charge the card (two $1000 charges in one day was odd for me), and I of course denied it because I had already cancelled the order.  
 
Unfortunately for them, I am a writer. This system was ordered as research for an article - Going Quad Core for Under $1K. The article had already been sold and Direct Canada could have got some good press from it. Instead I ordered it elsewhere and I will not order from these guys ever.  
 
It simply was the worst (attempted) online shopping experience I have had. If they had communicated with me about any problems - the whole situation would have been different.  
 
Edit: I forgot to mention that I did try to call them 4 times on the toll free number listed on their site. The first two times it rang busy. Then next two there was no answer just some sort of odd music started playing. I would definetly recommend calling these guys before even considering placing an order!.

I've often ordered from Direct Canada because they have low prices and usually have the item I'm looking for in stock. Most of the time, I have been satisfied with the service I got and even been impressed at the customer support. That's why I've been very surprised at the way I've been treated by DC in the last two weeks.  
 
It all started when I ordered a graphics card that was defective (snowy image in games, large colour bars, ect.). I placed an RMA request and got the RMA number very quickly. I then sent the item in a timely manner... but messed up by sending it back on an identical looking box for the previous graphics card I bought from them (SLI setup). I've been waiting for a refund ever since... and customer support even stopped answering my e-mails 5 days ago. The only thing I know is that I messed up with the box. I sent them the various numbers on the sticker of the right box... but that was a week ago and I still haven't heard from them since! How long can it take to process an RMA request???  
 
I am now trying to find a contact other than customer support (the only one to be found on their site) so I can finally get this item refunded and order a replacement.  
 
If you ever have to buy from them, know that they will charge a 15% restocking fee on ALL items, even the ones that are defective and are returned under 10 days. This is the most astonishing thing ever! They do pay for the shipping for the replacement item (as they should)... but that does not explain the 15% fee on a DOA item.  
 
If I can avoid it, I will not order from Direct Canada again. Local stores will refund the full ammount or replace a DOA item at no charge... which is how things should be.  
 
 
EDIT: By a bizarre coincidence, Direct Canada finally decided to proceed with the refund only minutes after I posted this. And contrary to the legal text on their site, they didn't take a 15% restocking fee. Also, the shipping will indeed be free, as promised. So I felt it important to edit my feedback to reflect those events. At least all this got finally sorted out... although many days too late. So all is well that finishes too late... or something like that. :+P

Only small problem i had was their order tracking system didnt seem to be updating correctly until i sent an email in asking about my order. Wasn't too sure about the store because there's not many reviews, so I came back here to say I've had no problems with my 1st purchase.  
 
Price wise, I couldn't find any better online in Canada. Is this finally our Newegg equivalent???  
 
Verified the order with their automated phone system on Sunday, and Tuesday morning the Purolator guy was ringing on my doorbell ;)  
 
Can't comment about the service because I didn't need any, but as things stand now, I will definaly buy there again.  
 
P.S. They need to upgrade their website's look ;)

I made three purchases from Direct Canada so far, and from now on, I will put this store on the top of my online store list.  
 
Prons:  
1. The lowest price for most of their products. When I want to buy something from online store, I always go to shopbot to compare prices, and I almost always found their prices are the lowest.  
2. Very fast processing and shipping. I ordered >10 computer parts in this order, and they shipped out everything on the second day. Later I placed two other orders. Both were shipped in the same day and I received them on the second day (air shipping to Ontario). Items were very well packed and all arrived in good condition.  
3. Very nice service. I like to use their online message system to communicate with their customer service and I have been very satisfied. Their response is much faster than I expected, usually within 2-4 hours after I send my messages. I sent like 10 messages in my purchase and they were always patient.  
4. Refund works well. I requested a refund for two unopened items. It is very easy to create a RMA online and I just got the full refund after about 4 business days.  
5. Free ground shipping for purchases over $300. A bit slow though, but considering that otherwise you have to pay ~$50 for shipping if you ordered a lot, this is still a great deal.  
6. No pst outside BC!  
Cons:  
The only thing I don't like about this store is their website. They usually don't provide detailed introductions to their items. Sometimes there are even no pictures for them. For some items, you can only refer to the titles and item numbers in order to figure out what they are. I hope they realize the problem of their website and improve it. With that being done, they will surely gain more customers. However, one of the reason for the lack of item description, I think, is that they keep renewing their stock so they don't have time to add description to all items.  
 
Overall, I am very satisfied with this store.

Great store. Could this store be the newegg of Canada?  
 
Honestly, great prices on a product that was unavailable anywhere else (8800GTS) shipped out in minutes, was at my door (in Ontario) the next day via 9$ Air mail.  
 
Great service if you ask me.  
 
Their phone support, on the other han, leaves *a lot* to be desired...
