Simply the best prices compared to NCIX and Tigerdirect.
Worst shipping department for this order; I paid for air shipping, the items was in stock and is not shipped 1 week after I placed my order... I've been one of their customer for three years now and with this issue I'm not sure i'll be doing buisness again.

Worst on-line experience ever. I ordered a TomTom 930T, they sent me the GO930 and in order for them to do anything they wanted pictures of the box to get serial numbers/SKU codes. Problem is that they themselves did not know which pictures they wanted!!! I had to ask them for progress feedback so they can ask for more pictures! unacceptable.
After sending them two sets of pictures I got fed up with them. Don't have the time to deal with them if that is how they operate.
I could have bought the GPS from BestBuy for $350, I paid $369 to them. So I lost $20 and the quality of service I could have gotten from the local retailer.
Will never deal with them again.

The worst online experience. 10 days after having received my payment through Paypal, they never processed my order and gave me ridiculous reasons. I got refund by Paypal.

Purchased a Thermaltake BlacX and SD card. Great prices. Air shipping for $10. Purchased on Wednesday night, received on Fri afternoon. Great! BUT, NO INVOICE WAS GIVEN. THEREFORE I CANNOT CLAIM MY REBATE. Checked junk mail etc, no invoice emailed. Called customer service but hung up after 2 hours in queue. Tried next day again during opening of store time and still no one picked up. I doubt they have anyone answering calls at all. No response from e-mail. Will not purchase from them again and I suggest other people don't either. Would rather purchase from NCIX or Newegg. Much better e-tailers with great prices and best of all, OOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Direct canada has excellent prices, however thier visa verification service is very timely and slow.
Order processing takes an extra day at least compared to other online retailers, also in my case they rejected my order because my phone number didn't match my visa statement.. well guess what visa doesn't have a phone number on my account, so what am I to do? I had to call in and add a number to my account just so I could pay them.
Why does everyone else allow me to process for the 10 years I have had my visa?
Anyways after several emails and callings, in the end the solution offered to me by the sales rep was to cancel my order.
After 4 days of pissing around JUST TO PAY!!!! that really bothered me alot as in the end the time wasted on the ordeal aggravated me more than a dollar amount.
The guy who answered the phone was being confrontational every single time I called in as well.
Maybe he was having a bad day or in my case (few days) but if you don't like customer service, get a new job ... don't take it out on me, especially when im paying your wages.
Realize you are going to be losing customer service in exchange for direct canada's prices, and may encounter shipping delays. This review was modified by its author, brunediddy, on

Just because it has Canada in its name does not mean it is a trustworthy company. Beyond a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. Not only do they take your money quickly without finishing the order, when you try to cancel it they cannot be reached. You call the phone numbers listed as contact information and 25 mins. later it is disconnected on one line, on the other it does not even go through. Is this company even in business still? Eventhough you never really wanted to do business with this company, no out is given. No phone contact number works. Emails are met with more demands that you assume will correct the problem but only pull you deeper into their unacceptable web of deceit. Then you try to do things the way they wish and alas you are emailed with the unacceptable information that you can only have a DirectCanada.com credit. So I say to myself maybe I'm wrong and go to their website to reorder the item, surprise it is no longer available. So here I sit with nothing but a credit of which there is no seeable way to use, for a company who neither answers their phone nor replies to any emails in a satifactory manner. What a valuable lesson for why not to deal with any company online, but maybe amazon.ca or chapters.ca where real people can be reached to resolve issues. I only hope this discourages someone else from making this same mistake.BUYER BEWARE! Issue may be resolved, I will see. This review was modified by its author, amica123, on

Took forever to process my order. Shipped me a defective one and told me to send it back at my own cost for a replacement. Then they tell me they discontinued the item and I would only get the purchase price refunded and not shipping. This took 5 months to resolve.
So at the end I waste 5 months, spend $30 shipping a defective item back to them. And I still don't have the item I ordered.
Response time very very slow. And lazy they constantly ask me to tell them the whole story all over again instead of scrolling down the message thread.

I ordered an 8 pack of Sanyo Eneloop AA batteries along with a battery charge with an additional 4 AA batts. When I recieved the order, I only got the charger with the 4 AA eneloops, but not the 8pack. I emailed them and they said they would refund the purchase price of the 8 pack because they were "out of stock". They never refunded my money, and to this day, never got the batteries. This company exhibits POOR customers service as they steal from customers and don't deliver. RCMP should investigate as it is not right to STEAL from customers. As if it needs to be said NEVER SHOP WITH THESE CROOKS!!. Other than that the buying experience was fantasic!

I tried to place an order with Direct Canada and when they sent the e-mail to enter the PIN number after they called, that's where everything went wrong. First of all, they didn't call when they said they would to give the pin number, then e-mailed saying my address was incorrect, then when i tried to call their service number, the line disconnected every time, I finally gave up after the 6th attempt. After I tried e-mailing them, they finally replied and said I had to verify what my address was, which was the correct one...so that only confused the issue further, and I did not get a response after I questioned them again as to who to contact. Terrible service!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally received the product after 4 or 5 e-mails, it was shipped quickly but still not impressed with the service for ordering. I ordered a monitor April 25 from Direct Canada. It says on their site that they ship in two to three days. The monitor I have now starts to act up after an hour or so I was counting on the two to three day shipping. A week later I checked their site and it hadn’t shipped yet. I tried to phone Direct Canada to see what was wrong, they didn’t answer. For another week I checked their site daily to see if they shipped it, they Hadn’t I also phoned them every day. I eventually called my credit card company to see if the money went through, it hadn’t. I asked them if they could stop payment to Direct Canada, they said all I could do was cancel my card and they would send me another, which I did.

Ordered a vga cooler from them. When it got here some parts were missing and some had obviously been used. I sent them 2 support messages, didn't get any reply to them, tried to reach them by phone, didn't get any answer either. So I ended up getting another cooler from NCIX.
I've been buying from DirectCanada for 2 years and never had any problems until this time, but I will definitely not order from them again.

This business is going down in Cust. Services terms.
It's unbelievable how it's impossible to reach them. Even by phone than by "tickets" or RMA online form.
They just ignore us...I've sent 5-6 tickets in the last 2-3 months...I've never been answered.
I tried by the RMA form...they just erased my claim and they didn't answered.
They just want our money...that's it, that's all.
They don't want to take time to answer us, to try to fix the problems we have and to give service. Time is money...
When we have to deal with time limited MIR/RMA/Warranty, it's impossible to be answered in time.
It's what happened to me. I got a DOA VGA card. It was a pain to be answered in time according to their "30-day DOA policy". But I was lucky enough this time and I was able to get refund.
(in other hand, am I the only guy on earth thinking that a DOA should be FULL refunded?! I mean, shipping and stuff. Is it supposed to be my fault if their QC is deficient?! BTW...)
But I wasn't able to reach them to ask for "free shipping on replacement". So I had to pay for the shipping on replacement card even if their own policies says that I shouldn't.
No, really...bad business there.
I have nothing to say against prices though.

I have placed 2 orders with Direct Canada. It has been almost 2 weeks and no sign of either. I am beginning to think I've been ripped off. No one responds to my emails and you can forget the phone. They use Canada Post for shipping so I hope CP can charge them with mail fraud. I will know better this week.

I tried to deal with Direct Canada, but honestly it was one of the worst online shopping experiences that I have had.
I placed my order on January 02. That same day I submitted a contact form asking when the order would be shipped and what I could expect. On Friday, January 04 I recieved a response saying that my order was being processed. Of course it wasn't processed at all.
Then two products I ordered suddenly became listed as unavailable. So I submitted another support question. This time I recieved no response.
I used the mastercard that is attached to my paypal account. I always do when I shop online since it allows me to see charges right away. On January 07, when my card had still not been charged, and two of the products I had ordered were now listed as unavailable - I cancelled the order.
After cancelling the order they still tried to charge my card, but I had already placed the order elsewhere. I got a call from the credit card company when Direct Canada tried to charge the card (two $1000 charges in one day was odd for me), and I of course denied it because I had already cancelled the order.
Unfortunately for them, I am a writer. This system was ordered as research for an article - Going Quad Core for Under $1K. The article had already been sold and Direct Canada could have got some good press from it. Instead I ordered it elsewhere and I will not order from these guys ever.
It simply was the worst (attempted) online shopping experience I have had. If they had communicated with me about any problems - the whole situation would have been different.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I did try to call them 4 times on the toll free number listed on their site. The first two times it rang busy. Then next two there was no answer just some sort of odd music started playing. I would definetly recommend calling these guys before even considering placing an order!.

I cannot believe that it would take a week to order and ship the items I purchased from Richmond to Delta. I find it totally inexcusable that it took so long. I have ordered items from the eastern seaboard of North America and they have arrived sooner! The flood of one email after another is also irritating since one expects perhaps two: one to advise status of order and the next with shipping info. If you blame this on Canada Post I think you should find yourself another shipper. I would seriously consider not purchasing from Direct Canada in the future if I could not get better shipping.
