I ordered a Gigabyte Radeon 9800 Pro on 10/21. The website clearly labeled the product as “In Stock”. 2 days later I checked the progress of my order. My order was listed as “Pending”, and the product was listed as “Back Ordered”.
On 10/28, after a full week of waiting, the order was still “Pending”. On a hunch, I checked my credit card and found it had been charged on 10/23 for the full price of the “back ordered” item.
I sent an email requesting an update. The next day I received an email stating FTI Computer would not be renewing it’s stock of the video card and my order would be canceled. The next day, my credit card still has not had the $328.95 charge reversed.
While responding to my email within 1 day is excellent, everything else I have experienced from this company has been very poor.
1) The website incorrectly listed a product as In Stock
2) They changed the status of my order WITHOUT notifying me
3) They charged my credit card immediately, even without having the product in stock
4) They didn’t promptly credit the charge back to my card once the order was canceled.
I will not place any further orders with this company.
*****UPDATE*****
2 weeks after my credit card was charged, I still have not received my refund for the product that was never shipped. Without immediate action from this company, I will have to have my credit card company forcibly reverse the charges. This review was modified by its author, cfbboyce, on

same as
01/26/03 4:51 PM and I quote:
"As was the case with someone else who posted earlier, I ordered an OEM ATI Radeon 9700 Pro from FTIcomputer.com. I thought I was ordering a card clocked at standard speed (325/310). What I got was something clocked at around 297/267. That wasn't what I wanted, of course."
Yes, it had Infineon 3.3 or 3.6ns mem modules that doesn't allow speed of 325...
only that I confronted them and required a full refund including s/h. They agreed to do that. They got the card on 02/24/03, promised to issue a refund by the end of the Feb. Come 03/10/03 there was no refund so I called them and they refunded me on 03/14/03 WITHOUT s/h. I called them back and they stated it was properly clocked! I disputed the diff with my CC company and filed BBB complained.

I was also duped by these guys for a NON Pro Radeon 9700.I ordered a Radeon Pro, and recieved a very low clockspeed core/mem of 263 Mhz. I was able to raise the clock speed a little, but nowhere near what a Pro runs at.My card has Infeneon 3.6 ns memory chips. They do not respond to emails.I forwarded all the the info to Maximum PC's Watchdog. I hope they will let other gamers know that these guys are stealing big bucks from the consumer.

Ordered a Gigabyte Maya II Radeon 9700 pro from this company, as it seemed to be the only place that had them in stock / and at a good price. Well, after receiving it by UPS, I opened the box and immediately things seemed fishy. The card was in a non-sealed, wrinkled bag (as if it had been used previously and put back into the bag). A quick inspection of the card confirmed my fears. One of the capacitors on the board had broken away from the pcb on one side. Well, I still decided to give it a try. The card worked but I noticed a few periodic artifacts. So, I got an RMA number from them and sent it back via USPS "signature confirmation." That was ~ten days ago as of this typing - I'm still waiting on the credit. Please avoid this company.

Im not loading the board with negatives. But i do hope these get to the owner. A fellow tech locally just emailed me from the site. The female asian salesperson in the front or on the phone(load tone) is a complete rascist. He brought a relative who speaks korean and mandarin chinese because he was building him a system (he is a berlitz translater for the UN). They ended up not buying anything after waiting 25 minutes for someone to address them.
He told me the translation was This review was modified by its author, Tommyz1052, on

Thought the ChainTech GeForce 4 TI 4200 I was getting was a good deal. Boy was I wrong. The card came dead on arrival. I had to pay an additional $10.00 to send it back. During the time it took them to get things sorted the price of the card dropped an additional $2.00 so that was ultimately $12.00 lost. The cost of which I could have originally just gone to a local store and gotten the next card up and saved about a months time.

ordered parts and Sunday took especially care to check availability - all was listed as in stock. Shipping was stated to be within 24-48 hours both on vendors web-site as well as price-watch. >By thursday I had still not received anything and called the company only to be told they had not sent my order and would not get some of my parts until next Monday. I was never advised of the delays nor was a partial shipment sent.
I felt very uncomfortable with the way the issue was handled and cancelled my order, and I will never deal with the company again.

I purchase a Radeon 7500 from this company, the card description stated that the card had a DVI port. On arivel, the card had no such port and was just an LE version of the better, card. Attempted to get an RMA 3 times with the company and was refused. They insisted they had sent me the right card. They even changed the Web sites description of the card. I would never buy from them again!

I will never do business with this company again. I found them through Pricewatch and ordered a motherboard/cpu bundle. The order took more than a week to process and when I arrived the motherboard didn't work at all. I called to get an RMA and got one after 5 phone calls. I sent the broken items back to them and didn't hear back from them for close to 3 weeks. By this time was tired of getting the runaround. I told them to credit my card back the purchase amount. It has been 2 weeks since then and my card still has not been credited. I called them again to see about the credit and was tranferred 3 times before I was sent to the RMA department where I was put on hold for awhile and then was told that I should call back later since the line was busy. I called back later to try again and the voicemail told me that the RMA line was busy and disconnected me. I finally got to talk to someone the RMA department but all he told me was that the guy that did all the refunds and credits was on vacation. I am still waiting to have my card credited. Don't buy anything from these guys!

Quite possibly the worst customer service out there. I bought ram, cpu, and a case, but I never received a receipt and had to call them up for a tracking number. Only after tracking my package did I realize that they didn't ship my case and that after I called a second time did they admit they didn't ship it and it was going to be drop shipped from the mnfg. I decided since I was going to have to wait an extra 4 days for the case I was going to cancell that part of my order. They credited my account the price of the case and only half of the shipping cost. When I asked them why they didn't credit my account in full they said shipping was non refundable. What does that mean when I got half of the shipping back and in the first palce the case was never shipped to me!!
On top of never receiving any friendly customer support, I got spammed from this company, along with everyone else who had placed a web order and provided an email. I told them their privacy policies suck because they say they wont spam.

Found this site thru Pricewatch
Said "Same day delivery" as of yet have heard nothing. Charged my Visa but the status is "processing"
Thought it was illegal to charge the Credit Card until item was ready to ship. Emailed them regarding there site being totally miss leading....the card they show was not the GF4 4200 but a 4600
the links and reviews were also for 4600. As of yet no reply. Maybe be a decent price but I feel I'm being or been had. Stay with
companies like NewEgg.

I originally ordered the merchandise on 5/28 and was sent a confirmation of this. Hooray.
On 5/30 I received an e-mail from FTI that they needed an 800 number from the back of my card, even though I ALREADY GAVE THIS INFORMATION on the form I filled out when I ordered the goods. I replied to the e-mail(to the defunct 'customerservice@fticomputer.com' address), giving the requested information, and got an 'undeliverable' message the next day. I then tried to send the same message to 'support@fticomputer.com', hoping it would be sent along.
Sometime last week I received a message on my answering machine asking me for the last 3 digits on the back of my credit card. Apparently they hadn't gotten my previous 2 e-mails. I tried to call this organization back, but could get no answer. I also had not received ANY confirmation of my order being shipped, ANY word that the order could or was being processed without this number, or ANY word at all from FTI Computer regarding my order. I was in the dark.
It was then that I sent an e-mail to 'sales@fticomputer.com'(because the customer service e-mail still was not working) asking to CANCEL MY ORDER. This was on 6/02. I received the order today(6/06).
I have never experienced such a complete lack of communication or customer service before. I'm currently in the process of trying to return the shipment, and I'm sure that will involve more than a few phone calls and wasted time. Not only will I never order anything from this vendor again, I will also do everything in my power to make sure no one else is suckered in by this sham online reseller.

randal, the exact same thing happened to me. I canceled my order as well, but it hasn't shown up as credited on my card yet. This was on the 28th.
Just wondering, did you happen to order the MSI GF3 Ti200 with VIVO? If so, our cases are exactly the same, because when I hit check out, the website said the card was in stock.
