Rebates are sent from Citi Bank in the form of a  
debit card. Tried to use it three times and it was rejected. Had to register with Citi Bank to make inquiry. The automated online shows the card as being used. Now Citi Bank wants to charge $3 a month for an account fee because they say I have an account. The 800 number is always busy at Citi.

First and last time I order from Circuit City. I wonder if these guy just warehouse stuff and not validate what they sell is what was advertised by the maker?  
 
Quality of the Logitech Altos was disappointing. And it does not do what it is supposed to do.  
 
And it was hyped as a notebook holder! That is a lie! The screen on my new Acer was unable to move far enough to make the screen vertical when the notebook was placed on the stand.  
 
The notebook holder is not universal -- no adjustments. What a bummer! Not as advertised!  
 
And the keyboard was pre-historic. Every notebook I have used came with a silent keyboard. This keyboard is LOUD! I touch type, I don't type by clicks. The clicks drive one crazy. My wife does not want to hear clicks when I work on my computer. What nut case designed this mess should be fired and sent back to the nearest Chinese rice paddy.  
 
As I said, what a mess. I am seriously thinking of driving a nail through the keyboard, taking a hammer to the stand, and sending the whole mess back to Circuit City. They never should have been duped into selling this abortion.  
 
Logitech used to be a quality outfit but looks as if they have gone down hill. And why people like Circuit City vend this junk is beyond me.  
 
The glowing reviews on the Altos must have been provided by Logitech employees because anyone with any common sense would see this lashup is a disaster.

Even it does not show up any where in my online account on their web-site. Well, finally I've declined this credit as I've no intention to buy anything further from them. Still waiting for their investigation report. Which I doubt, they will provide.

I requested to have a final report after the investigation is over.  
 
SO FAR I'VE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM. NEITHER I GOT $40 CREDIT OR ANY REPORT OF THE INVESTIGATION.

- Item supposed to be delivered on 29th Dec but was delivered on Jan 5th  
- When opened, found the broken LCD in the TV  
- Called customer service next day  
 
01/06/2010:  
The good CS Agent:  
------------------------  
- CS agent was very helpful and he suggested me to return the TV only for a full refund as they cannot offer replacement because I paid through paypal  
- He suggested me multiple times that I do not need to return the freebies, just only TV  
- He further suggested me that I can go ahead with another order of TV, so that I’ll not be without TV  
- I refused to buy another TV without getting the refund as it was an expensive item and I promised that I’ll buy once I’ll get my money back  
- He said, “he understands and he processed the RMA for full refund.”  
- He further told me that the shipping company will come to pick up the TV in next 2 days.  
 
The nightmare starts:

- For next 7 days nobody showed up from shipping company  
- I called multiple times CS and finally on 7th day somebody came  
 
01/13/2010:  
- The shipping company (AIT Worldwide) picked up the TV and for my surprise the pickup man dumped the TV in a empty big truck without securing it. He said it is already broken then what is the point to secure it.  
- He did not ship the TV in next 8 days  
- I called CC and AIT CS multiple times and they said wait for another 2 days and it will be shipped.  
- Every time when I called CC CS, I got a confirmation too that I was going to get full refund for the TV.  
 
01/20/2010:  
- Finally, my case was escalated and TV was shipped.  
- CC started expedite refund-process for me as it was more than 2.5 weeks.  
- TV was delivered to CC within 4 days, but, there was no refund  
 
01/24/2010:  
- Called multiple times CS, and they told me that it was processed already and it will take another 5-8 business days  
- 4th day I called and I was informed that it was already refunded and if I‘ve not received the money then I need to talk to Paypal  
- 5th day, I called again and I was told to contact a particular CS Agent to resolve my issue  
- On 7th day, I talked to a nice agent and he gathered all the information again and he assured me that I’ll get full refund as soon his manager approves it  
 
01/29/2010:  
- On 10th day, still no news  
- Called CS again and I got the same answer again it is already refunded talked to PAYPAL.  
- When I asked for a supervisor then the agent looked into the case.  
- She had a approx 30 mins. chat with Supervisor and finally I got partial refund ($1360.95)  
- I’ve been told that I did not return remaining stuff. that’s why I cannot get full refund, regardless what I’ve been informed earlier.  
- Well! That was too much for me, So, I decided to return everything  
- I return remaining items, they reached safely in next 7 days to CC  
 
02/11/2010:  
- For my surprise they refunded only for Home Theater system immediately. But, for blue ray player there was no refund  
 
02/17/2009  
- Again called them multiple times, so finally got the refund for Blue ray player too after 7 days.  
 
What an experience!!!!!!!!!!!  
 
Final conclusion:  
--------------------  
 
- CS Agent contradict each other and do not honor whatever they promise.  
- Return process is too slow.  
- So finally after spending $1750 + 2 months of wait period + more than 12 hrs of telephone talk with CS, I got nothing  
 
The good news: I got my money back!!!!

Recommendation:  
 
I’ll not buy a single thing from them in my dream itself.  
 
Good luck people, if you are planning to return something. Don’t believe what a CS agent tells you. They change their statement with in 24 hrs.

NEVER AGAIN! I am going through alot of crap with them. I received a tv with a big hole in the screen from shipping I assume. I received different instructions from 3 or 4 different male cust serv reps about how to send the damaged tv back. I was so confused and stressed. They placed a hold on my bank account for the price of the tv to ship out a replacement. They charged my account 3 times for $600. They denied it and blamed my bank. But my bank says Circuitcity.com keeps charging it. They won't let me talk to a supervisor and you can't get any other numbers for them. Finally, I spoke to a female who could give me explanations for everything and correct instructions. I did receive my refund for the damage tv promptly. BIGGEST mistake dealing with online company for an expensive purchase. I hope I never have to return the new one.

Be careful, they do not honor their price match policy. I ordered a large HDTV on the Jan 22nd using their Bing cash back promo at 8.1%, today Tigerdirect.com, one of Systemax's other sites has a 15% Bing Cash back offer, for a difference of about $75.00 on my order. I called customer service to take advantage of the 30 day price match policy they have listed on their site and the customer service rep said they will not honor it. I won't buy from the Systemax sites (Tigerdirect, Circuitcity or CompUSA) in the future.

I ordered a Garmin Nuvi with some accessories for a birthday present. Upon opening the shipment, I found part of the order was missing. I contacted customer service who informed me that after doing an audit with UPS they would forward the missing item. It would take approximately a week! A week to replace an item that should have been included in the first place? I then asked about a refund on this item. Again, it would take a week! It did not take a week to charge my credit card.  
 
I work for a company that ships product all over the world. If a customer contacts us saying they are missing product, we send the product to the customer. We do an internal investigation, but we DO NOT let it effect our customers.  
 
I really enjoyed shopping at the Circuit City stores and hated to see them close. This was my first and LAST order online though. I would not recommend ordering through the online site.

Some deals here and there? Sure. But oh, if you ever have an issue, forget about Customer Service. I bought an LCD TV using Bing to get $45 cash back. Pretty sweet, right?  
 
Well, it would have been if Circuit City actually follows through. They have to report to Bing that you made the purchase. Having used Bing cash back for most of my purchases, I fully understand how it works, and in fact, take screenshots of the process for proof, as some retailers do not verify. So I make the purchase, get screenshots (here: http://imgur.com/BSUoI.png & here: http://imgur.com/TbNCd.png ) and still Circuit City will only say that my purchase was "not eligible". I have emailed them, called them on the phone, everything. A Customer Service agent even straight up lied, telling me that Circuit City does not participate in Bing CB. BS!  
 
I'm through with any Systemax-owned retailer (which inlcudes TigerDirect, CompUSA, and Circuit City), and I strongly suggest you avoid them as well.  
 
I cheated on my regular electronics retailer, and it bit me in the butt. If my previous retailer will take me back, I will not stray again.

Purchased this Sony CE375 5-cd player / exchanger for my mother as a present. Was not aware until after payment & received confirmed order / invoice that the unit could not be returned or exchanged. No big deal at the time I thought....rarely have I ever had to return an item. Had the unit shipped to my mother in another state. Received it in a timely fashion. Was not aware when I purchased it that it was not a complete unit. Needed a receiver & speakers. No big deal I thought ....will get those for her.  
Opened up the package. Plugged the unit in to check it out. Turn table won't spin. Called Sony & they made good on the purchase. Had to return to Sony for a replacement. Still waiting on that one. In mean time, thought I would get the receiver & speakers all set up for my mother so she wouldn't be completely lost when replacement unit comes in. No dice........can't fine any units / speakers ( without spending a fortune ) that wires / plug-ins that will work with the unit. After hitting 3 different stores; purchasing different equipment / adapters; & nothing working fitting together as it should; I was totally done. Returned every thing purchased & got my money back. It is not the fault of SYX / Circuit City that I am ignorant when it comes to electronics. Am unhappy that I am stuck with this unit (if & when I receive the replacement).  
So Aggravated that I wound up buying her the Bose system with the 5-cd exchanger. What a difference. Piece of cake to hook up. Sound is beautiful. One Unit. The cost: expensive. But I figure it probably would have cost the same by the time I purchased all that was needed in order to use the Sony unit. And my mother ( who happens to be electronically challenged as myself ) only has to deal with ONE company. Have decided that I will no longer do any shopping at any electronics website that is owned & operated by SYX. You really do get what you pay for.

After ordering a laptop from Tiger Direct/Circuit City, I received it in huge box without any shipping material. The laptop malfunctioned and I called to have it replaced.  
 
Customer service was a nightmare. I got a representative who tried to upsell me. I asked for the manager and he put me on hold for 20 mins. I called again and got a manager named Frank who did the same thing. He said the laptop I purchased was sold out and I would have to buy the next model up. Finally, we worked it out where I would buy the more expensive model but he would give me $20 credit for all the trouble.  
 
I have now called Frank more than 3 times. Each time, he is either "away on break" or relays a message via another representative promising to take care of it the next day.  
 
BEWARE TIGERDIRECT/CIRCUIT CITY - do not buy expensive electronics from them. IT WILL BE POORLY PACKAGED. Spend the extra $20 and get peace-of-mind with Newegg or Amazon.  
 
Update: I was contacted by a customer relations representative and they were very polite. I explained to them the situation and although it cannot be undone, I was satisfied with their response.

Ordered on-line and price and shipping was confirmed. A few days later my account was charged the agreed upon fee plus another $75.00. After talking with a customer service rep who sounded as if I was interupting his day he told me that the price had increased. I told him that either he charge me the agreed fee or keep his product. After talking with several people over two days I agreed on a price which was $1 over the original fee. This is the second on-line purchase with Circuit city and may be the last.

I ordered the Sony KDL40XBR9 40" BRAVIA XBR9 TV & BDV-E300 Blu-Ray Home Theater System & BDP-N460 Network Blu-Ray Disc Player Bundle. It was backordered so I just received my complete order yesterday. The tv has a small piece broken on the bottom corner of the clear plastic picture frame that extends about a 1/4" around the face of the tv. It doesn't appear to affect the tv, but it's annoying that it's there. The styrofoam inside the box is broken and crumbly in that corner so it appears like it was hit or dropped pretty hard. This was and remains one of the reasons why I hesitate to order an expensive piece of fragile electronic equipment on line. Also, I don't know if it's the tv's problem, but the volume is almost non-existent on Fox. So far, all other channels seem fine, but the other tvs in the house do not have this problem with Fox.  
Finally received replacement on 12/30. No damage, works great. I am 99% happy with purchase. I will be totally happy when they finally pick up the damaged TV so I can stop calling every week.

Circuit City Management please stop using UPS Service. I placed an order online on the 7th and make sure it gets delivered urgently, thus, have it delivered within 1 business day. I paid almost $60 for this service. It's now the 10th, my package still didn't arrived! I check the status online, i met an exception report: THE APARTMENT NUMBER IS MISSING OR IS INCORRECT. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION. / A POSTCARD HAS BEEN SENT TO THE RECIPIENT REQUESTING THAT THEY CONTACT UPS.  
UPS tracking number is 1Z6F88711395304077.  
I called UPS Customer center and they want me to pick-up the item at Maspeth, NY. Are they for real? After paying $60 for 1 day delivery? This is all i got? THey are a whole bunch of LAZY people!  
 
 
This is HORRIBLE AND POOR SERVICE FROM UPS! I called customer service, they say they can't do anything and I need to call circuit city. But it is my money! PLEASE HELP!
