I bought over $2000. of camera equiptment and had some issues with the wrong price but they did fix that. I now have a problem with the 2 Digital Concepts BP511a battery packs for the Canon 30D, which have a 3 year warranty and I emailed them for help several times. This is the third week and no reply, they are in my contacts and I check the spam folder too but no reply. Their phone does not answer and today there web site is down. I will never buy from them again. All I wanted was some info. on how to handle this and if I had to send them to Digital Concepts, which I could not find initially. The manufacturer, Sakar, was great in their C.S. help phone line and is going to replace them. I had to do some searching to find out who made these batteries myself.
Do not buy from bluestripephoto.com!

I bought a Panasonic AG-HVX200 Video Camera from Blue Stripe Photo and am sorry to say that I found out today from Panasonic that my camera is not warrantied in the U.S. Blue Stripe claims on their website that all merchandise has full U.S. warranties; the one they sold me does NOT, and I must now pay Panasonic to fix the defect. Recently, I almost bought a second camera from Blue Stripe Photo,(before I started having problems with the first one) but was saved when their sales person was so rude to me on the phone that I canceled the order. Never do business with these people; you WILL regret it.

I looked and looked for a realistic price on a Canon XH-A1 video camera. When BSP showed the item in stock and advertised shipping within 2 days, I checked this site out before I ordered it. On Sunday (6/10/07), since I didn't see any progress on my order, I called to check-in. After 10 minutes and 2 transfers I was talking to Peter. He began the usual double talk about what was and wasn't included in the box from the manufacturer. After refusing numerous sales options, that even included a pitch for a different brand and style of camera, I reassured him I just wanted what I ordered. He said fine and I'd have my camera in 7 to 10 days. My wife's suggestion, I checked information Peter gave me by calling Adorama. That information confirmed that the positive experiences shared by some on this site about BlueStripePhoto was not the experience I was having, so I called Blue Stripe back to try to confirm each piece of the box contents. Steven spoke with contempt for me and eventually confessed that the camera wasn't in stock. Boy, what a cheap lesson to learn. I only lost 6 days. (PS...I make a living by knowing when someone is and isn't telling me the truth.) Good luck out there!!

I have to warn everyone... DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
As another reviewer said they lie ! They get ya to call in with low prices and do a bait-n-switch.

They don't have the item they advertised at the low price, that is used to get you to call in. I was trying to buy a Canon 100-400L IS lens . They of course don't have the item you want at that low price so they try to talk you into buying something that they make lots of money on. They told me the Canon 100-400L IS is a piece of crap and I should buy this sigma instead. When that didn't work the guy says they used to work for Canon and the 100-400 is a piece of crap lens and everyone is sending it back. OMG can you believe this. I will contact Canon and inform them of the sales tactics used here.
Don't buy from this company... and any positive posts written here are probably written by them!

LIARS...LIARS...LIARS...SHIT STAINED PANTS ON FIRE

ALL THIS POSITIVE FEEDBACK IS MADE

bluestripephoto.com is the same company as expresscamera.com and several other names who are bunch of fucking criminals, crooks and liars.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE DIRTY ASSHOLES

I don't know where they came up with all the positive feedback but it's most likely made up and total BS.

For one all these companies are the same as Blue Stripe Photo which is part of Save Here Distribution and has/is advertised and/or sold merchandise through the following web sites: expresscameras.com, geniuscameras.com, trustedcamera.com, trustedphoto.com, luckydigital8.com, clearviewcamera.com, bluestripephoto.com and hopecamera.com

Also all these companies or company is practicing and is accused of bait and switch tactics, failed to deliver merchandise and misled consumers in the advertising and pricing of items. Just read this http://www.nj.gov/oag/newsreleases06/pr20061130a.html

One compay is named "hopecamer.com" you can only hope when you order your camera but you will never get it LOL.

I hope the Attorney General will close their BS business soon.

I ordered a Nikon D80 body, after calling to confirm that "USA warranty" meant that it was NOT GREY MARKET. An order clerk told me it was not. When I received the camera, the warranty card was not Nikon, but some generic warranty that did not even identify the company.

When I posted my experience on another forum, I got a ton of replies saying I was lucky that I even got what I ordered, i.e. the body. Based on what is on this site, I have to agree.

I will never deal with these liars again.

Buyer beware! Don't try to save a buck with BSP - just go to a tried and true name you know. It's worth the extra money.

I was promised a USA Warranty on a Canon 5D camera, and received what I believe is a gray market camera, instead.

The warranty card is NOT consisitent with the warranty cards I've received on other Canon products, and the printed Serial Number (on the warranty) does NOT match the one on the camera body. I called Canon support and they think it sounds fishy.

The instruction manual is also NOT original - it's bound, but it's not the Canon green of my other manuals. It looks like a bad photocopy.

I am already having trouble reaching a supervisor to return the camera.

I bought something from Blue Stripe Photo.com/save-here.com. I bought a camera and a 5 year warranty. They shipped it through UPS and I was expecting my package to delivered but I guess BSP called UPS for an address change. I don't know why because they had my correct address on file so it was eventually sent to the wrong address and was shipped back to BSP. When BSP ships a product, they send you an e-mail telling you to write a review on bizrate.com. So I wrote a nasty one. They called and they said since they messed up my order they will send me a free 256mb card and also if I change my review on Bizrate.com. I said I will think about it and they said "ok". So they sent me an invoice through e-mail and they forgot my 5 year warranty so I had to call them back and that was when I was sure I wasn't going to change my review. I received the camera, 256sd card and the 5 year warranty. I checked my online statement and it says I have been charged $60 from an associated company w/ BSP. I called and asked why I was charged for $60 (no way should a no name brand slow 256 can be worth $60) and I demanded a refund. They said they are going to charge me for the card since I didn't change my review. I would think since its my opinion of that company and why should I change it if it has bad customer service. I called the Better Business Bureau

I ordered a Canon 30D from from BlueStripePhoto through they web site. Sometime later, John called me to confirm my billing and shipping addresses. Once I confirmed the addresses, he wanted to know I need any accessories. I said No, I have everything I need. Thereafter, he mentioned that I have baught the same camera a few months back. I confirmed the purchase and said that I gifted the earlier camera to a friend. So, I needed a new camera now. At this point he told me that their company has a policy where they sell this camera only one per customer. This really annoyed me because -

a) Such policies should be clearly noted down in their web site.
b) I can't understand the rationale for such a policy (i.e. if any exists) as Canon is promoting this camera with all thier might.

So, I am really dissapointed with BlueStripe and this is the last time I will buy anything from them. I was planning to buy a couple of more Canon L-class lenses, I will not give business to these guys. Sorry, BlueStripe you just blew it big time.

So i bought a camera that was supposed to be shipped before the weekend but it was delivered to the wrong address. I called UPS and asked where is my package and they said that Blue Stripe Photo called and did an address change. i was really mad because they had my correct address in the first place. So then it was sent back to BSP. Of course when i found this out on Saturday, their stupid store was closed. And then i called on Sunday because they said it was open and called CS, it ran for a long time (probably on the phone for 40 mins waiting for someone to pick up but no one did) i called back on the main phone number and talked to an BSP representitive and they told me that their CS was closed on Sunday (but didn't say anything about that on the automated message system. Since i wrote such a bad review before they BRIBED me to change my review by giving me a free SD Card (only 256mb that they say cost $40 but we all know its not that much, especially for a no name brand). I was going to raise their review a lil more but they forgot to add my 5 year warrenty to my order (wow, should i be surprised?) so now i'm guessing that most of the reviews on this site are from "bribs" if something went bad. Hmmmm... makes you wonder.

LIES... LIES... LIES!!!!

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS .COM STORE!!
I purchased two Canon GL2's from this merchant and patiently communicated over a five month period desperately trying to get my cameras.
I was then told I had to buy a kit if I wanted the cameras.

HMMM....

To top it off, the last time I called and asked why I couldn't get the cameras without the kit I was lied to about my order being cancelled, mocked over and over, interrupted, talked over with a loud voice, laughed at, told I have an addition problem and eventually hung up on. Mind you, I never at one point used profanity or raised my voice.

HEED MY WARNING!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS ONLINE MERCHANT!!!

100% Bait and Switch operation. They list the lowest price on StreetPrices.com. When your order the camera only and do not order their high priced accessories they will tell you the camera is not in stock, it takes a few weeks to get it in even if you confiremed earlier that it is in stock. If you wait a few weeks and call back it is not in stock still and you get the same run around. The last sales guy I spoke with admitted I will never recieve the camera at that price. I canceled my order upon hearing this and the sales person tried to push me into buying a much higher priced camera package.

I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org I suggest eveyone else do the same.

I am a consumer that likes to purchase online. I signed up for save-here.com to purchase a Canon Rebel Digital Camera, the body only. Not only did I have to wait over 1 hour and 45 minutes for someone to answer their 1-800 number so I could confirm my order, but all they did when I confirmed is give me a sales pitch to buy memory cards and charges. Save-here.com charged me $30 shipping for the Rebel and told me that they would take 3-6 weeks to come to my house.
After emailing them a few times, they did not answer my questions and I called back again which I waited a long time for someone to actually answer the phone. I asked them if the Canon rebel came with the battery which it is supposed to come in the manufacturer's package anyways. The person that answered my inquiry told me "no" and so therefore, I luckily cancelled my order.
The person was not polite and a bit rude. I addressed him as "sir" and I said "thank you very much " but he just hung up on me without saying one word. Don't trust these websites because they are cheap. If you have to call to confirm your order and wait nearly 2 hours to do so just to hear a sales pitch, it is a big scam and I was lucky to cancel my order before they charged my card!

Keep away from these guys! I placed an order for a Canon EOS-Digital 300D online last night 8/7/2004 , along with a canon telephonto lens 55-200MM . I made the mistake of placing the order BEFORE checking out their business rating.

When I called the next day (8.8/2004) to ask a general question regarding my order ,they tried to "upsell" my order by enticing me to buy a supposedly better camera lens (Pro Sigma) for an additional $100, plus throwing in a battery charger. At first I said ok. Then I had this sinking feeling inside of me that felt "rip off" so I immediately called them back to cancel this additional "upsell" deal. The sales person I talked with kept harping about how I was making a big mistake by cancelling this and then proceeded to throw in more enticements to buy more accessories I really didnt need. He seemed annoyed that I insisted I could order these accessories much cheaper elsewhere. In fact he laughed at me when I declined to his offer to buy a battery charger for an additional $50, indicating I would need one to even use the camera. I insistedly said no and he reluctantly changed my order back to my original request.

Still, something just didnt seem to feel right, so after I got off the phone with them, I did more research and found resellerratings.com which seem to corroborate my suspicions about them.

Only 20 minutes later, I called them back and interestingly got a message saying "they were closed for the day". I rechecked the website to confirm their hours and it indicated that they were still open for another 4 hours! I suspect that after the two other phone calls I made earlier that day, that they probably tagged my number on their caller id to program it to reroute my phone number to this bogus telephone message.

On this hunch, within the next few minutes I decided to use my home number and call again, and (guess what!) someone picked up the phone on the first ring...At this point I just told them I wanted my entire order cancelled. They immediately told me they already processed the order for shipment, and I said that was impossible since it was only within an hours time that we tallked on the phone, and more importantly I placed the order online last night (Saturday) and there was NO WAY they could have even sent the order UPS for pickup today on a Sunday.

Even after I stated this, the sales guy was still trying to get me stick with my order by throwing in an additional $50 off my order. I just told him "no thank you".

I then proceeded to follow up our telephone call by sending an email to their website to again document our discussion to cancel the order. I also called my credit card company to document what happened and to make sure that charge my account for this cancelled order, just in case they denied even talking to me on the phone.

So far they have updated my order on their website as "cancelled" but I feel Ive done all I can at this point to protect myself.

Dont deal with these guys at all! They are sleezy!

I called before ordering a camera (the canon digital rebel, or 300d) to confirm that they had the item in stock. I was assured that it was. When I ordered I got one of those 'call to confirm' emails. When I called, they pressured me to buy memory cards and batteries, telling me there were none included when the camera includes a battery. When I refused to buy accessories, they told me the camera was backordered. I told the salesperson they were dishonest and cancelled my order. What they are doing is illegal in the state of New Jersey (they list a New Jersey address in their contact information on the website). I did send email to the consumer protection office in the State Attorney General's office in New Jersey. Avoid. They are crooks.
