I, too, bought before I read reviews. PLEASE don't buy from this company. They ripped me off for a relatively small amount, but looks like several others have been ripped off for much more.

SCAM...SCAM...SCAM!!! I like many of you on here found out way too late that this company is a BIG scam. After days of talking with my bank and The Better Business Bureau I finally found this company's info to file a formal complaint. I encourage all of you to take the five minutes to file a complaint with BBB. The adress is www.greensboro.bbb.org/. When you click on file a complaint type in "my 1 mag" if you look at your credit card statement that is the name of the company that took your money. You will see thae name of the company and the address pop up. I am over the $35.00...at this point I want these people to be caught and punished!!! If you need more info please let me know and I will contact you!
**********UPDATE********* 12/12/2006
Today I received a letter from the Better Business Bureau stating that they had contacted this company and that they had agreed to refund my money. To my surprise, I checked my account today and my money was refunded!!
So I encourage all of you to contact the BBB to make a complaint to stop these people and to get your money back!!

The day after my original post, I contacted the owner at the email listed in his post on this page. SEE BELOW Within a few hours, I received an email from kim@magsforless.com. She promised she'd fix it or refund my money...AND SHE DID. I recieved a full refund within 24 hours to my paypal account(even though I got 1 subscription) . My order was 6 months ago and they fixed it!!!!! I suggest everyone here get their order number and email kim@magsforless.com or owner@magsforless.com. This company and half priced mags are owned by the same people. I am amazed. I want everyone else to get their money back like I did.

I ordered magazines in 2005 and everything was fine, I ordered in 2006 and I was double billed. I contacted the company and got it fixed with moderated difficulty, then the same year the issues took forever to start. Then, against my better judgment I ordered 3 subscriptions. It took 3 months, but I finally received 1 (Reader's Digest). I have seen nothing of the other 2 and its been 6 months. There is no way to contact this company now while in the past there was. Their "ticket" process is a joke. If you can figure out how to get in, they never answer. There's even a ticket history page where you can see all the emails you sent that didn't get a response. It's like its specifically designed to laugh in your face. Does someone over there at half priced mags get a cheap thrill out of making poor consumers chase around? Purchased a weekly magazine subscription as "New Subscription" although it was a renewal. The order reads "weekly subscriptions start within three to six weeks." After 10 weeks (and repeated prompts from magazine for renewal, I emailed Half Price Mags to see where my subscription was. This letter stated "it can take up to 20 weeks to receive your first issue." I should have paid more and just renewed with the publisher. This review was modified by its author, skinney, on

WHAT A RIP OFF! I purchased from them before and had no problems. But then when I placed another order...NOTHING!! It's been 7 months. We need to stop them from ripping off the hard working AMERICANS!

I feel so STUPID!!! I bought from "Mags Almost Free" a couple of years ago and had no problem. When I renewed, no magazine so far. I ordered and paid for TV Guide 4/23/09. It's December and no magazine or refund, letters, e-mails and phone calls are ignored - of course. They have my money, so they don't care. THE CROOKS!! I did file a complaint with the FTC, so maybe if the FTC gets enough complaints on them, something will be done. What I want to know is, why have they not been shut down by now???? total rip off. paid 8 months ago and never received magazine. phone number is 702-563-5988. doesn't respond to voicemail or email. can't believe they are allowed to operate. theplanet.com is their web server and they have been asked on a number of occasions to delete this criminals account. Shame on the web hosting company for facilitating this felon.

Add me to the list of people that never received their order. I placed and paid for my order last November 9th, 2008.
I've sent numerous emails, but never hear from them.
Something needs to be done to stop them from stealing from anyone else.

Joel Simkhai why not provide a valid telephone to talk to a REAL person?? I have sent multiple emails in regards to my orders & have NOT received a response back. All I want is my magazines! OR my money back!

i made 2 orders without knowing magsforless and almostfreemags were the same company. 1st order was back in 2006. next one in early 2008. nothing at all. no response. what can we do? we need to get together and take this company down. how can we get the address and phone numbers?

Halfpricedmags.com is a COMPLETE scam of a Web site. I had placed a few successful orders before I decided to order a "bridal package" of 3 wedding magazines for a friend, none of which she ever received. They replied and said they'd resubmit the order, but it was too late for her to use the magazines at that point. I then placed an order for Us Magazine over a year ago and have NEVER received it. I've e-mailed the company several times with nothing but an automated response. I am now forced to take my matter to small claims court, over a measly $36.59. Just send me my DAMN MAGAZINE!!!!!

Crooks. Never got magazines. Got a reply to first email saying they would resubmit. Still no mags. Now they wont answer ANY emails. Stay away from these crooks.

Same story as everyone else... I ordered 12 subscriptions back in July, I should have known better, and I so wish I had seen this website before I ordered. I have not seen one magazine, and no one will answer my emails. I have gotten to where I send one everyday, and not even a peep, even to tell me to f*ck off. THIS GUY IS A FRAUD AND SCAM!!!!!! DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS (ALL OF) WEBSITES!!!!!

I should have read here first. They charged my card the day I placed the magazine order, but no magazine to date (December 2007!!)Same story as other shoppers: delayed too long to file claim thru credit card. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Should have known better from the terrible website. It's very hard to navigate. Some log-ins don't work at all. I have two different log-in names which have to be used in different spots. But what good is that when nobody responds. How can these people be shut down??? Uggghhh ----
