Purchased a used Nikkor lens from KEH, their reputation for conservative condition ratings was upheld. EX condition resulted in spotless glass, 100% mechanics and only a few scratches on the body. Product was deliverd on time and I was kept updated throughout the process. Recommended.

Have purchased several items from KEH over the past few years, and have always been very satisfied with the quality of their used gear. My last purchase was a used camera that had a dust problem in the viewfinder. They permitted me to return & exchange it for something else, no problem. The trick with KEH is to call them first to inquire about an item, they will be happy to expound on why it received a particular rating. Tremendous customer service.

Excellent couldn't be better. I have ordered many times from them and all their products arrive quickly and in better condition than they describe them. Their return policy is excellent.

Despite all the great reviews and praise from photo forums, doing business with this vendor is great UNTIL YOU HAVE A PROBLEM! I've sold used equipment to them and just bought the first lens from KEH. &746.00 product never left a UPS hub. After notifying UPS I notified KEH and got an e-mail that they were told "it will probably show up without tracking" by UPS. Last I ever heard from KEH. No refund, no desire to sell something else, just no contact at all! AND NO TOLL-FREE PHONE!!!!  
Had to send a dispute letter to VISA when the bill came because KEH never acknowledged their shipper losing the lens. I'll never do business with them or any other company that discourages contact from customers. Buy from KEH and pray there are no glitches in the process. Cause you will never hear from them again!!!

I have been buying from KEH for almost 20 years now and have been very satisfied with them. Only once did i receive a non working item. I shipped it back and they took care of it in a timely manner. The sales people are very helpful and courteous. I will buy from them again. Over the years i have bought leicas, nikons, and now digitals. I highly reccomend them.

I ordered a used Canon 430EX flash. It is like brand new and shipping/communication were excellent!

I received a defective lens. Lens was returned for a refund. Lens I returned was up for sale again on their web site within 3 days of the return. (Presumably they fixed the lens.) After a week they had still not credited my account. I emailed them and was told it would be another week before it would be credited. What it amounts to is they now have a lens they can sell again, they have had the use and interest from my money for two weeks,(They have had a months worth of free interest if you count how long ago I paid them.) and I’m stuck paying interest on the money they haven’t refunded. What a great way to make money with absolutely no outlay on their part. Oh yeah, and I paid shpping both ways. Maybe they have stock in UPS, too.  

Ordered a in stock lens and received a UPS tracking number that night. As of today, 5 days later nothing ever shipped from KEH. Two emails inquiring what is going on and how 5 days later the package has still not shipped have not been replied to. This is my first and last time ordering from this outfit. There is just to many other dealers who HAVE customer service. Clearly the worst service I've ever encountered from any online dealer

KEH has been absolutely wonderful to deal with in my several experiences using them. Used items have arrived as or better than described and shipped promptly. After a nightmare with tristate camera(that hasn't ended) I feel obligated to review stand up companies like KEH.

Very polite and straight forward on the phone no double talk or bait and switch. Received my order in a very timely fashion. Every thing that was ordered was there and in perfect shape. I will do business with them again.

This is my second time purchasing here, and it certainly won't be my last. They come highly recommended and have earned it.  
 
I spent several weeks watching that auction site for the used medium format camera I wanted, but finally gave up on that idea. Not only does KEH give the security of an established business and return policy, but their prices rival or better what I saw go through many auctions.  
 
I have read many, many comments regarding their conservative ratings on used gear, but took that with a grain of salt. I was pleasantly surprised after taking a risk on a "bargain" rated setup. No, it cannot masquerade as a new camera; however, the cosmetic wear is minimal considering the deal and most importantly the mechanical and optical parts are flawless. The phone call to order was very pleasant, missing the now-infamous hard sell tectics of so many camera places.  
 
I know the rest of my kit will almost certainly come from KEH.

Extremly satisfied. Purchase a Nikon D50 2 lens outfit with a 1 gig card and a Nikon extended warranty ($30) that came with a nice Nikon case. Placed the order on 7/17 and received it on 7/19 ay about 11 AM. Their price was the best (about the same as B&H but B&H was out of stock for about three weeks). The salesman (Will) did not try and sell me any extras.  
 
The only thing was with UPS. My door bell rang and I opened the door to find the box sitting there dispite being marked "signature required". If I was dishonest I would claim that I never received it.

Absolutely wonderful buying experience from KEH. They have an excellent reputation among both amateur and professional photographers, and for a good reason. Their service and shipping are prompt. Packaging is excellent. All of their used gear is graded either accurately or *under-rated*. It's not unusual to get "bargain" rated item in excellent condition, or an "excellent" unit that looks like it came right out of the box. KEH actually seems to believe that they should provide service and value to the customer, not just fleece them of as much cash as they can get.  
 
Stunning company. For medium-format and other camera gear, these guys are tops on my list.

Initially ordered a used Konica-Minolta 5D and a used Tamron 28-75mm lens. Soon thereafter, I received an email from Tim Smith saying that the 5D was no longer in stock and needed more information what to do with the order.  
 
I then went online to make my second choice, a Canon Digital Rebel XT with the lens that fit that camera. When I was able to reach him by phone, he explained that the web site is updated at 3-hour intervals. I also knew that this model did not stay on the market long once listed. I changed my order to the Canon and the Tamron lens in Canon mount. Mr. Smith then asked if I needed any memory to go with the camera. No pressure; Mr. Smith was very professional. I declined and the transaction proceeded.  
 
The order was shipped UPS and arrived on the day it was supposed to, though not at the time I was expecting. Shipment arrived in good shape. Although the camera and lens were used, it was really difficult to tell.  
 
Because of lingering worries about the shipment, I had ordered only the minimum I needed, expecting to put in a second order when I received the first. I put in the second order and received it secod day air with no trouble.  
 
I would not hesitate to do business with KEH again.
