Just wanted to say this was my first order from Canoga, so I was a little scared at first. Josh helped me throughout my order (I had some trouble with my Chase MC)and was very patient. My Canon 10D arrived when it was susposed to, it was all brand new, and they even included a Canon coffee mug and a lens cloth. I could not have been happier with Canoga for their excellent service and shipping. I will be a repeat customer

Purchased a Fuji S602 from them. This was my first major purchase from an online store. There were others with a better price, but they had too many horror stories to go along with it. I called and ordered the camera and I was told that they did not have it but that they could get one in one to two weeks. I was assured that it would be new and not a gray market, and that it would carry a full USA manufacturers warranty. I gave the salesman my info along with my email. He (Josh) informed me he would call when it came in. I called about a week after talking to him and he informed me that he would call back. I will say that I was nervous after not hearing any word on it for a week, although my credit card was billed right away. He did call back and said it was on its way and gave me a tracking number. The camera arrived as described. I was very satisfied with my purchase from them and would do it again.

I could not have been any more pleased with this company. About a month or so ago I ordered the Canon D60 camera from them and was told it would be a month before I received it. I expected this so I was fine. After 3 weeks I received an E-Mail telling me that the D60 had been discontinued and if I were interested they would contact me when a new replacement model was available. I did not believe they would do this having dealt with other online camera companies. But I was truly and pleasantly surprised when I received an E-Mail telling me of the new 10D coming out. If I was still interested they would place me on their waiting list for it when it shipped, which I jumped at. Three days ago I received a phone call telling me that they had them in stock and would be sending it right out. I then waited for the usual hard sell for other products but it never came. I was told it would ship in 5 days but they could ship it faster if I was interested. I told them that I did not want to pay the extra shipping but it would be nice to get it as soon as possible. The sales rep told me to hold on and he would see what he could do. When he came back on he told me that he could send it with 3 day shipping for no extra charge. This was Tuesday and I received it on Thursday. It only took 2 days to get to me and no hassles at all. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy anything online; I know I will from now on. Very pleased in Boston.

The product I ordered was backordered, which was the case with most sellers of the product. Conoga contacted me via email to ask me if the delay would be a problem. They gave me the option to wait or to cancel the order. They assured me that I would not be billed until the order was shipped. I appreciated the dialog, and was actually surprised that it was not just a ploy to generate more sales. I have found this to be the case with many camera equipment sellers. When the product became available, it was shipped directly from the supplier, saving shipping time.

I was planning to buy a Canon Poweshot G2 for quite some time and did a great deal of research. After reading so many scam stories about those Brooklyn online retailers, I knew I wanted to buy from a store with good reputation. So after some comparison shopping, I decided to buy from Canoga Camera based on their good rating and the lower price they offer compared to other credible stores (B&H, Adoroma, 17th Street photo etc). And shipping is only $9(!) for UPS ground. I placed the order on Saturday Jun 17 and got a confirmation email promptly. On Monday I got another email with UPS tracking number. No hassle, no hard sell of accessories. The camera arrived on Friday with a nicely packed brand new camera with original US warranty. I really loved the camera! But one week later, I noticed a stuck pixel on the CCD. So I called Canoga and they happily agreed to exchange it for a new camera. Both the store manager Chris and the sales representative Greg were extremely helpful and courteous. They received my returned camera this Monday and shipped out a new camera on the same day. Again no hassle and no delay. What I find even more commendable is that when I mentioned their price drop of $10 from what I paid two weeks ago, they happily refunded the price difference. This is one of my best online shopping experiences and I will definitely shop again at Canoga!!

I went shopping for a Hoya camera filter that was stolen from me nearly 7 years ago. I shopped locally long ago, but quit looking for it after all the local camera supply companies told me that they coud not get it.  
 
Recently, I checked B & H and although they could get it, they wanted nearly 3 weeks. Then, I tried Canoga Camera. Online, they were significantly cheaper than B & H, so I called Canoga Camera to verify they could get these items quickly. I spoke with a man named Greg. Greg explained that they had and could ship the Polarizer same day, but it would take about a week for the R/B filter. A week sounded fabulous, as I was getting ready to leave on a photography trip over the 4th of July, and wanted my favorite filter. I then requested that he place the order. He then responded that I should place it online, as it would be handled faster.  
 
The items I ordered online were:  
1 HOYA 52mm Polarizer Circular HMC (a replacement for one I broke)  
1 HOYA 52mm Vario Polarizer Red/Blue (the hard to find/ stolen one)  
 
I also requested in the "Special instructions" field, that the filters be shipped seperately if there would be a signifigant amount of time before the R/B would be shipped.  
 
Immediately after I placed the order, an automated order confirmation was sent to my e-mail address confirming the order. By midday Monday, I received an e-mail directly from UPS stating that "At the request of CANOGA CAMERAS, this notice confirms the following shipment has been sent." It gave tracking numbers and all. The package arrived at 2:00PM Tuesday. It was a simple, padded manila envelope (you know, one of those with bubble wrap inside). Inside, a new, boxed Polarizer filter, an invoice, and a free cleaning cloth.  
 
Late Thursday, I received another UPS tracking e-mail. I watched this package, and it too, was delivered around 2:00 on Friday. However, all didn't go so well. The package looked as though it had been run over by a UPS truck! I almost refused delivery, but I chose to open the package in front of the driver. Inside, the paper filter box was trashed, but the leather filter case and the filter itself were in pristine condition. I was impressed that a glass filter survived-- but I guess the packaging helped save it.  
 
Canoga Camera offered competitive pricing, excellent customer service, and new, sealed factory products. They even only charged the regular $6.95 for shipping, even thou they shipped two seperate packages. This is definately a 5 Star company, and the place I will turn to for future camera purchases!!!

I ordered the canon s30 digital camera from canoga at the end of may and got it in about a week via ups ground. I talked to Mike from Canoga and he was helpful in quickly processing my order. The camera works perfectly and appears to be brand new (no returns or refurbs). I had ZERO problems with ordering from Canoga and am very pleased with my buying experience with them.

My experience with Canoga was in direct contrast - the sales person, Mike, was polite, helpful & patient. After being bitten by Smile, I was a little suspicious, and asked him if he could physically have the lens I was buying in his hands - he went and got a ladder and took it down from a shelf (I could hear this). I got an Email with a tracking # the same day I ordered, and 3 days later, I had the lens in my hands. This is faultless service - the way net purchasing should be, pleasurable and hassle free. Top notch vendor. I am a frequent Internet buyer, and I've found this company to be one of the best.  
 
Canoga carries a hard to find camera (Canon S30) at a great price. They shipped my order within 24 hours. No gray market products. 100% factory new, with USA warranty. Customer service is very responive (quick) and personable. You won't be disappointed!

In each case the merchandise was purhcased at a price lower than I could pay anywhere else. The items were always in perfect condition and well described. Unfortunately, the company sometimes seems overwhelmed. They forgot one of my orders and have been slow to ship others. If you are not in a hurry for something, they are an acceptable source.

I was searching for a Canon Powershot G2 at a low price and found Canoga Camera. They told that the camera was currently out of stock, but would be back in stock in a week or so. My camera shipped out in 5 days and I recieved a brand new camera with the US warranty, not a grey market or import. Shipping was also very reasonable at about 9 bucks for UPS Ground. Read to many scary stories about the New York shops and went with Canoga Camera in California. They always responded to my emails and later ordered a Compact flash card at a very good price. Would definitely recommend these guys. Ask for Greg Noble, he was very helpful.
